I have been desensitized over the years from all the horrors I have seen online, but I could not take a beheading. It's too much gore for me.

It's been some ghost in the shell type of shit lately.
I picked no, not because I'm disgusted by the video, just disgusted that it's a repetition every month. Every month it's something new but not different, and while this and all events like it before it are terrible and inhuman, I don't care anymore. I wouldn't call it desensitized, it's just not participating in in the circus.
Hell, I bet CNN is sad that the shooter killed himself. If he hadn't, they'd have courtroom news for the next few months.

That's an option I'm considering. Muddles my view of humanity as a whole, and that's not necessarily always a good thing.

yes, then I think how the hell kids cope with this, the previous wars were so...computer game like helicopters and other vehicles marching through deserts, we had our first "live war" through the telly, now they're too real (roy, it's too real!) and kids can access these videos without any parental supervision.
Seriously, completely uncensored crap, i have no fetish with it and I would likely not be able to go to war, like a pre-traumatic stress.

I can deal with violence in movies/tv only because it isn't real. Even so, I squint if a particularly gory part comes around. Stylized fight scenes suit me better than realistic ones and torture flicks are right out the window.
There's no way I could handle watching a real person die like that. Those poor people, their gruesome deaths available for the whole world to see... how awful for their families.

I don't watch much, but now and then I feel the need to face reality. I dislike gore as entertainment though. Havin people slaughtering kids with a chain-saw in a movie, or something similar, just for cheap entertainment is just bad.
