Pretty much, most of it is overseeing that the process works, most of it means continuous fine-tuning of the machinery and chemical dosages. We add Iron sulphate, a methanol-based alcohol and compressed air in three different stages that together reduces most of the pollutants in the sewage to sludge that's then thickened, heated and pumped into two vats where it is decomposed by bacteria who produce a lot of methane that's used to heat the plant, the sludge and to provide heat to the city-grid. the decomposed sludge is then de-watered into something that is basically moist compost.
