Honored Sir`s
As we are dealing mainly with furniture our experts estimate between $2,000 (The table shown would have cost that much) up to $40,000 dollar per piece, depending on age, material and degree of damage.
Also makeup material's important and degree of originality. We will try to stay as close to the original as possible.we will take samples from Lacquers and colors as well as wood samples for analysis to reproduce the materials originally used in the construction of the piece.
So cost may be in the range of average $19,000 per piece, which should help you to calculate the costs.
It really heavily depends on the above mentioned factors and will vary greatly from piece to piece.
For restoration of wooden framework and wall-pieces cost would be between $3 and $8/m2 depending on the type of wall.Wooden Cassettes would go up to $300/m2 again depending on damage, age and materials used.If there are inlays made from gold leaf we will restore them with this material and not use gold color or any other substitute.
Below is a restored chest made from teak wood with inlays made from beaten gold, mother-of-pearl, glass and jewels and a 998 silver figure as example for a $40,000 restoration.
Damage: Gold had been scrapped off with a sharp tool, jewels were broken out, several lids unhinged and water damage had occured.
Out Of Character: Sorry for the rough estimate, but the percentages give no information as to the actual number of pieces to restore.
