OOC: Sorry guys!

IC:

Quote
We are willing to stop firing on you, and try to handle this...conflict...diplomatically. But for that, we want some...remunerations. It would be very expensive to you. In addition, we want some of your territority.

Captain Davies of the Repent grimaced at the transmission. Now commanding this fleet, after the Admirals death on the Goliath, he had to address the situation. "Fire at the ship that sent that transmission!" he blurted. "Let us cleanse these infidels with our rightious plasma!". The Repent opened up, firing jets of plasma towards the ship. Davies stared at a map of the surrounding space, "Reform the fleet here" He pointed to a planet very near the battle. "This is where we will make our stand. I want troops on that planet." He then sent an encrypted message to the ship Blaze, "Prepare your compliment of 'Zeus Cannons'."

OOC: 'Zeus Cannons' are huge cannons that are ground based on planets, that can fire into space and cripple a ship in one hit. Of course, they have to be assembled on the planet, and I only have 3 avaliable in this fleet...you'd commonly find permanent ones on Dysaniian planets.

"Commander, they have opened fire on us."

"I see. Seems like there is no way defeating them without bloodshed. Prepare the superlaser, fire the weapons. Send Order 23 to all ships. Inform the government that we are at war now. They shall send some Capital Ships to get their home systems."

Aboard the Archangel. "Send a general message to all ships who we do not perceive to be the enemy. Make it read as follows, 'Any vessel who has not swarn allegiance to the Dominion is now ordered to vacate the area. This is a war between the United Terran Dominion of Validus and the enemy forces. You are all not involved. Please leave.' Send"

"Message sent,"

OOC: You can choose to ignor it if you like.

Reply to the Archangels´s message:

We can understand you don´t wish us to take losses because of your conflict with the Dysaniian Empire. But this is no longer a war between you and them; they broke Feniexian laws, make invasion attempts, and are currently attacking one of our capital ship, ignoring the fact that we offered them to get away with remunerations. They don´t want to keep up peace and pay us with money - so they shall pay us with their blood.

"Send a message to the Feniexians have it read, 'Since you won't leave. Form up on our flanks so we can fight as one team. During this battle you will be subordinate to The Dominon. Archangel Out.'" Stated the Admiral.

"Yes sir, Transmission sent,"

The Dysaniian fleet began to reform and several cruisers formed a rear-guard action as blue engines blazed and ships hurtled towards the planet, which Dysaniian personnel had named 'Shine'.

The first to reach, Blaze, swiftly entered the atmosphere. It resumed to unload its compliment of engineers and Zeus cannons by transport, even before the rest of the Dysaniian ships had arrived.

The battle for Shine had begun.

The Feniexian fleet did as the Valideen forces suggested; except the large CS Emperor´s Glory and it´s protection squads, who vere manoeuvering straigthly into the enemy forces, firing huge amonts of lasers at the enemy ships, regards of the few losses they made.

"Flight 33 Alpha Foxtroit Niner to Prometheus. You want us to do what!?" yelled the pilot in the comm.

"You are going to do a short jump, and take out what is on that planet. This will be an atmosphere jump, so brace your flight accordingly. Don't worry about the Calculations, Janet has done them and she says they are accurate. She is an AI after all."

"Ya, when as an AI ever been wrong!" stated the flight leader, sarcastically.

"Pipe down Hot Rod, just do the mission. Understood? We are reorganizing Fleet with our new found 'allies'. So no ship is free and fighters are doing CAPs, we managed to free you guys and your jump Falcons. Now, you will jump in 5 minutes. Prep your ships."

"Yes, sir." stated Hot Rod, "Ok boys and girls. You heard the Captain, we are going to be doing a suicide run on that planet."

"Oh fuck," stated a female pilot.

"Can't they free up another flight for this Op?" asked a male pilot.

"I know, I know, but we are the Crimson Ares. We will do this and we will all come back, together. Now prep your ships for an Atmo jump." said Hot Rod.

"Yes sir," said another female pilot.

Over 4 minutes passed, "Ok we jump in 5, 4, 3, 2, JUMP!" Vortexes opened up in front of every Falcon, as they entered it. They immediately appeared in a cross wind. "Holy shit!" another fighter nearly rammed into Hot Rods Falcon, "Get a handle eveyone. Now lets find that weapon."

The scene on the planet, simply put, was dire.

Dysaniian engineers ran, or what could be best described as, through the boggy, muddy ground, frantically working to get the Zeus cannons ready. Cranes and heavy, toxic machinery relentlessly worked to pull the parts of the cannons together. The Validian warriors had proven to be more than capable, and an attack on the area was more than expected.

Some preparations had been made for such an assault. Grimy, lifeless anti-fighter batteries stood on high ground, their operators more resembling walking corpses, as filthy and tired as their machinery. A hybrid of trenches had also come into existence, winding and bending around the bases of the enourmous Zeus cannons, soldiers littered throughout. Several bases, each with a small compliment of Rage-class fighters had also been established, but provided little if no protection against the harsh winds and dreary rain that swept across the land.

In the distance the huge silhoutte of Blaze could be made out through the foggy atmosphere. Beyond, in low orbit, the Dysaniian ships clustered in tight defensive formations, ready to stand their ground. Dysaniian commanders had many (bad) qualities, but they did possess one important aspect: bravery.

The Feniexian now entered close combat with the Dysaniian fleet. Strategically and merciless, they brought dead to the enemy. The C.S. Emperor´s Glory alone confirmed more then 60% of the fleets confirmed kills.

However, the commander of the Emperor´s Glory had now great respect to the Dysaniian pilots; they still fighted, and there was no sign that they would flee now.

(OOC: Hope I´m not godmoddish when I say that they fought so bravey...just say something, and I´ll take it back :D )

"This is Hot Rod, this cloud is thick, everyone get your barrings. Check your interments, because we will probably have zero visibility for awhile."

"Eh, how long do you figure until we find that weapon these guys are building?" asked one of the pilots.

"Fuck if I know, now lets keep chatter to a minimum, concentrate on flying because we all know how we all like to fly in soup," replied Hot Rod. "Hot Rod Prometheus, we are flying in soup, can you get us those coordinates, ASAP, over."

"This is Prometheus Actual, we are working on ti, but the electromagnetic field around the planet is interfering with long range scans. We will continue to work on it. Out," said the Commanding officer of the UTS Prometheus.
