1. The FG Election Results
After a second round of nominations and acceptances, Virtall became the new First General after running unopposed. There was some heated debate regarding whether the loosing presidential candidate could stand in the election. Ultimately, the person in question decided not to. An amendment to the constitution has now been put forward to prevent such a situation occuring again.
2. Role Playing Games now open
Three new RP's have opened up by Micky and Utract. Since then there has been some renewed interest for our RP section.
In Legend's Sailors (http://z14.invisionfree.com/The_Red_Sox_Nation/index.php?showforum=114) you play as a survivor of a shipwreck stranded on an island. The thing is you're stranded on Atlantis...
In Lawless Hunters (http://z14.invisionfree.com/The_Red_Sox_Nation/index.php?showforum=116) a mysterious man posts a note with a mission on it inside the tavern you're sitting in. Do you take up your sword to join in or continue to sip your drink?
Set in 15th century France, Utract's RPG (http://z14.invisionfree.com/The_Red_Sox_Nation/index.php?showforum=117) has it's players as mercenaries.
Want to join us? Click on the above the above links and read the instructions.
3. Notice
It has come to our attention that some of our citizens have went to our friends and allies for help with our internal affairs. While we appreciate any gestures to aid us, we, the writers and editors of the Red Sox Report, feel that such concerns should be best heard inside RSN and RSN only.
News Bulletins

1. 100,000th Post Celebration Tomorrow
Tomorrow we at RSN will celebrate post 100,000. Several prominent leaders from RSN's past and present will give speeches on the occasion. Also there will be discussions on the history of RSN, RSN's future, and other stuff (maybe a RSN nation elimination game ;D). Come on out to make this day a success.
2. Debate Heat's Up On Constitutional Amendment
The debate on the constitutional amendment that would bar the High Justice from making legislation and voting on legislation in the General Assembly continues to divide the citizens of RSN. The supporters for the proposal say that it would help the HJ be more impartial in making decisions inside the courtroom and that the HJ can still make suggestions inside the GA. Those who don't support the amendment say that it could block useful legislation, needed votes and make people shy away from the position.

1. Failed 100,000 post celebration
Due to scheduling circumstances our festival turned out to be a big flop. Thanks to anyone who came out.
2. RSN Wiki
Thanks to a suggestion from our good friend, Malabra, we have started to develop a wiki. You can check it out at: http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/RED_SOX_NATION (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/RED_SOX_NATION)
3. High Justice election
This week we had our High Justice elections. Our only two nominees were The Southern Acre and Winstonopia. Due to SA's semi-retirement Win won without a single vote being cast. Congratulations on Win's return to public office.
4. The Big Question (aka. Regional Merger)
Over the past couple of weeks our region has been hit with a serious inactivity problem. Winstonopia began discussions within our region to discuss the possibility of a regional merger and any ideas as to how that might work. We also opened a special forum to discuss this matter with other regions in a neutral setting. We invite everyone to visit this forum: http://z6.invisionfree.com/regionalmergerdiscus/ (http://z6.invisionfree.com/regionalmergerdiscus/)
News Bulletins
- Plans for an alternate celebration are being discussed
- A possible move to Cybernations is being discussed

1. Fantasy Baseball League
The baseball fantasy league is being formed (we are Red Sox Nation after all). We are once again playing on yahoo and draft day is on March 18th. See the fantasy baseball league thread in the sports section of our forum or contact Deisel 10 or Winstonopia on the RMB.
2. Best Legislation Poll
The poll for the best piece of legislation the citizens of RSN made is up in the General Assembly. Go look in the legislative archives if you're not familiar with them (believe me there is a lot of laws) and go vote.
News Bulletins
- We recently sent an activity letter to everyone who registered on our forum.
- Win found an addicting game called Squares. Visit the games section to play.
- The topic for total government change has once again arisen. See the GA.

Reinventing the Constitution
The changeover to a "controlled anarchy" began last week with discussions for a new constitution. So far the only positions recognized and voted on would be admins. Under this systen of government the members would be able to do anything that would be helpful to RSN as a whole without any beauacracy.

Ooh looks quite nice!
-
btw, yis is back... though I don't know if you ever knew him...
-
I might have stumbled upon some posts, sounds kinda familiar.
-
he has been gone a wile...
-
he has been gone a wile...
mmhhhh....cunning of him... ;) :D
-
I noticed he has been pretty active on there again. We never exactly got along...
-
He can be a proper arse...
Dummies guide to yis:
Has a superiority complex - as in he, and everything he is, is automatically superior, and he will do anything to justify it...
-thus, men are better than women, jews are the greatest, and he is smart, good at sports and attractive
-I know half of this to be rubbish and am highly dubious about theother half.
Don't talk to him about israel, islam or the middle east. It tuns him into a racist cock.
thats most of it... work the rest ourt for yourselves...
If you argue with him more in the abstract though, and avoid issues he can directly correct with he is good company...
Its also quite fun to really get him going from time to time, just don't get too offended when he starts being really cruel.
-
IMO, avoid getting into an argument w/ him unless you know you'd win.
-
He will never admit to loosing, so I don't think that makes much difference. Just refuse to give in if hes winning and piss him off. If hes loosing just rub it in.
-
That's unfortunate.
-
hes fun to bate
-
Lmao at the beginner's guide to yis...it's absolutely true :D (You know, I actually had in my sig that I was a girl, and he still didn't realize it. That's what prompted the big bold letters saying 'I'm a girl, dammit!' for anyone who was around RSN when I had that :D)
Anyway, update time!

New RSN Charter Passed
This week we passed our shiny new Charter, which can be seen here (http://z14.invisionfree.com/The_Red_Sox_Nation/index.php?showtopic=2077). The Charter states that RSN will be a direct democracy, with all votes stated publicly. The only elected positions are those of two administrators every two months. These two admins will aid the root admin, Suzu (formerly known as Alyss), in keeping the forum running smoothly. The Charter passed by a vote of four in favor, two against.
New Admins Elected
Going along with the Charter, we have elected our first set of admins. The final tally of votes was as follows:
Deisel 10, 7
Teredona, 6
The Southern Acre, 1
Congratulations to Deisel and Teredona for their wins!
Regional Merger Talks
We’ve resumed our talks of a possible regional merger. This week, we focused heavily on the merger being formed by the New Power Federation, Americana, New Government Alliance, and The Federal Empire of Rumenia. While they are all lovely folks, and we wish them the best of lucks in succeeding with their new region Nova Atlantica, the members of RSN voted zero in favor and six against joining the merger.
News Bulletins
-Transistor Noise wins RSN Fantasy Basketball League, second place goes to Deisel 10, and third place goes to Winstonopia’s team Pistons!
-Former High Justice Yisroell returns. Welcome back Yis!
-Red Sox go for the sweep against the Yankees Sunday night! Go Sox!

1. The Unnamed Alliance
A new defender alliance has been founded With RSN, The Great Land of the Moon, and Lichentia as the founding regions. As you can tell the alliance has not been named yet but that can soon change. Here's the link if you want to check it out but we're not fully organized yet. We're mainly a social board for now. The Unnamed Alliance (http://z4.invisionfree.com/Unnamed_Alliance/index.php)
2. The end of relations with ACCEL
RSN earlier this week ended relations with the organization of ACCEL. This was due mainly to the non-existent activity of the on our forums, though a certain member may add to that their personal reasons...
