Can we do away with polls in the discussion section please?

You can take my treasures...you can take my possessions...you can take my money...
BUT YOU CANNOT TAKE OUR DEMOCRACY! :tai: :tai: :tai: :guillotine: :tai: :tai: :tai:

Yeah, we should. To say that they've become stupid and pointless is understating the immensely annoying reality of the situation.

How are they 'stupid and pointless'? They're informal measures of interest in various solutions, intended to encourage discussion. The threads attached to them have been productive, and the polls don't detract from that.
I do think, however, that we can start to draft actual things that can be approved instead of just polling interest (is that stagnation the root of your objection?).

Please explain.

In all seriousness, I don't really have a problem with these. In the semi-anarchy that is current Taijitu, these seem haress, and the closest thing we have to referendums and laws.
Let's discuss whether we should get rid of these after a constitutional convention. For now, I think the majority likes them.

A poll to see if people like polls is in order. We'll follow it up with polls dealing with the quality of our poll polls.

We definitely should evaluate polls with queries.
