Title: Solving RP Chaos
Post by: Xyrael on March 10, 2007, 08:19:00 PM
Noting today's rather haphazard performance of RP involving Ryazania, I would request the following.

I believe there are several flaws with starting RP and conducting it in such a random "omg let's do it, damn the reasons" fashion

A nations own decision to handle it's sovereignty (such as Ryazania directly handing control of Ryazania to Myroria) should trump RP council decisions.

Baltija handed me his nation and territory, yet I did not get it...

hmm true, maybe former Ryazania shoulder just... disappear... like Baltija

I think thats sounds like a good idea actually

And I don't. I'm not banned, and Ryazania doesn't just 'dissapear'(unless of course there is nuclear retaliation).

My point exactly.  Or, as Rya originally proposed, that is HAS collasped and nations want to secure its gold reserves as the reasons for invading.

About Baltija's actions, they are completely irrelevant.  Ryazania wants to RP with a new country, while Baltija was banned.  Besides, Ryazania can't disappear unless Oz consents to it, just like Oz could have, if he'd wanted to, kept Baltija on the map or split it into NPNs.

Point is, the two cases are different.

However, I don't know why I'm here, as I'm not participating in this RP, and I'm supposed to be condemning everyone who does ;)

Just surrendering the whole thing to Myro doesn't really do anything but make Myro more powerful, especially since the transition wasn't even RP'd. It's like birthday gift without the card. It ain't always the thought that counts, it's usually the receipt and the $50 inside the card that's worthwhile.

Also the fact that a few hundred thousand troops (Rya said this was the number of Myrorian troops in Ryazania) cannot secure 1.8+ billion people.

The people wouldn't exactly revolt. We've done nothing to anger them, and we've installed an autonomous government in Ryazania that can make laws at the colonial level. And Ryazania said that I now have control over Ryazania, case closed. You could attack it, but it shouldn't be in that thread, which is why I closed it. And, if you did attack us over some gold, your standing in the international community wouldn't exactly skyrocket.

With five nations attacking for gold, I doubt my international standing would drop all too much.  As if I care anyway.

My main concern at this juncture is: resources and finances of Ryazania, how are they to be dealt with by Myroria?

At best a jewel colony, at worst a nation in chaos.

I've reached a truce with Varkour, came to a ceasefire with Oz, bombed Veramark into submission, and sold land to Dysanii. It looks like you're on your own.

The capitals of countries that came ashore of the Easterosian continent were launched at.

In even other words, yes, half of Taijitu will be getting the fallout, should the capitals be unprotected.  Check the latitudes.

Also, wouldn't the colonial administration be getting blamed for nuking several nations?

Probably. We'd sincerely apologize and fire them, appoint new, just as incompetent ones, and maybe send some money to people.

I am /ignoring most of the RP on the basis it was hasty, not thought out, and simply conducted in a truly poor manner without any clear objectives. Everyone jumped on a bandwagon, said "i want land" and didn't consider the repercussions. Since many people may be new to the RP scene, I would not punish them for their first mistake by saying their entire homeland is a radioactive wasteland and they will resent you for the rest of their days for it. Instead, why not say "your cherries been popped, be more careful next time"

So now that the map is updated and the former Ryazania is now part of Myroria, is this going to get under way?

Xyreal would have a massive amount of influence over ryazania, since the only sea port outlet is controlled by him.

And I choose to flaunt that influence :D either ask for access or be shot at, and expect to be shot at anyways on Ryazanian soil by militias i fund... i highly recommend coming from the east and not the western approach

Myroria's people are a mix of a Victorian lumberjack and/or other worker with the comfort of a small town citizen.

Ozia is a mix of Scientists, Doctors, Bureaucrats, Mafia men, Fre'zhi, and of course Moaci Cheap Labor by the gun. . .

Always wondered when my nation would get challenged against for oppressing Moacis....
