(1/1)

AwesomeSaucer:
THIS WEEK'S TOPIC - Your Taijitu Nation's Cars!

Yea, pretty self-explanatory.  What car companies does your nation have?  What do they make, and why?  What is your nation known for internationally in the automobile world?  What big advancements has your country made?  What are your roads and infrastructures like?

Have fun!  :)

Delfos:
I'm recovering some old posts from 2007 to rebrand.

Yattalok Motors
They are the most common Delphic vehicles. I made it parallel to Renault with some high-end BMW vehicles. They produce in Yabrin and their high-end models are produced in Zabid. The most common is Yattalok Clio:

Golmert Vehicles
They make cheap vehicles but they are not so common. They are parallel to GAZ russian company, like GAZ they probably only do vans nowadays and models from other companies. Their factories are in the outskirts of Muharraf. Their Golmert Volga Siber uses a lot of foreign components:

Iwashi Honto Kanpanii
Based on Suzuki this is the fusion of Great War airplane companies in Honto. They make affordable practical cars and are also known for their motorcycles. Most of their factories are in the outskirts of Heddo. Their biggest sales go for Iwashi Swift

St Oz:
There's not much to say about Ozian automobiles, most people in St. Oz will walk, bike, bus, train, and subway to places, but I came up with a few type of vehicles people would drive. One is a "People's Sedan", designed by the government and sold at a very cheap price. The parts involved are cheap as fuck, as well as being notorious for its lightweight. People usually joke about an aunt driving one on a bridge on a windy day and it blowing off the side it's so cheap.

The other vehicle Ozians mass produce is a type of truck/jeep derived from vehicle during the Greater war. The joke associated with that vehicle is a relative left the car in the will, and they'd rather take care of a tortoise. The joke being that the car lasts forever and won't stop running no matter if it falls off a cliff, and they want to part with it but everyone doesn't want one or has one.

Typically the car of choice in Ozia is one that's smaller and has a huge turn radius, so typically if you saw any car on an Ozian street they are the hatchbacks. The people's sedan is actually very accustomed to Ozian roads.

As for the third type of vehicle, more well off Ozians purchase Eluvataran and Myrorian vehicles. The joke with these types of vehicles or people are often the same ones associated with BMW or Mercedes cars, the punchline is always people who drive them are douchebags and asshole

Khem:
Private ownership of vehicles within Khem is unheard of in cities, infrastructure being largely built around mass transit and rail never fell out of fashion. Within the forests Gahk'ell are still prefered for their ability to traverse the terrain efficiently. Those who do have vehicles often have either foreign imports or discontinued military trucks/dune buggies. There are almost no legal restrictions dealing specifically with personal vehicles, though the most common charge against them is damage to the soils/water in the case of leaking fluids. Within the Khemish military jeeps and other trucks only tend to come out when on foreign soil or within colonial lands. The terrain of the isles of Al'Khem have prevented any real car culture, though certain executives have been known to keep expensive foreign cars (especially models used in action movies) as trophies within their homes, inviting friends and family to utilize them as expensive seating.

AwesomeSaucer:
The TDP's cities are laid out in a way that is repellent of cars, with the ground area having only walkways and bike paths, and the below ground area using only autonomous subway systems to transport people.  Roads in the TDP are in rural and suburban areas.

The TDP is known for their self-driving cars that are illegal in some Taijitu nations, but beloved in others.  The cars tend to come in radical shapes and sizes that are suited for very specific activities, such as sleeping, working, meetings, and more.  There's no such thing as a "normal" car in the TDP.  Non-autonomous cars are illegal in cities and in some suburban areas, though every major area has a racetrack on which people can drive at incredible speeds.

The infrastructure of the TDP is best described as all roads being a highway.  There are no streetlights at all in the TDP, only some roundabouts in a few crowded suburbs, and simple branching paths in all others.  This is to cater to the autonomous cars that the TDP has.

The TDP has a few car companies that are popular exports, especially in Delfos, Jutensa, and Myroria.  Low-cost companies comparable to Toyota or Ford include Veval and Besta.  Veval is considerably more popular in the mass market, but where Besta shines is in the luxury segment with their subsidiaries Caros - a brand comparable to Infiniti or BMW - and Beauto, which is comparable to Rolls Royce.  Besta also has a subsidiary in Raroa, which is not a luxury company but instead makes high-performance cars made for racetracks and exporting to nations where self-driving cars are illegal.  The last major car company in the TDP is Searco, which is comparable to Mercedes.
