So I've been waiting to do terrain on Oz's map, yet there's plenty of beatching about knowing whether or not how terrain works, so lets do this constructively and start from scratch, hence the topic name of terraforming.
I want to say that I've no degree in geology nor I pretend to know how it works, I simply mimic real earth terrain. Anybody that wants to contribute by saying how one thing should be different
First, macro tectonic map.
Context: supercontinent twist and split, mind I didn't do major distortions

Warning, this is not to be RPed, this is only to make sense to mountainranges and rifts and whatnot. This will be an ongoing discussion.

I would prefer if we didn't start completely from scratch. We have some terrain that I'm pretty happy with, for example:

D: make images smaller :P also add other pics you shown like:

MORE PLATES!
Based on an old map (http://test.taijitu.org/newmap-continents.png) where they didn't have full knowledge of the Novmiran South continent

New proposed main geological plates (will look prettier later)

I really like but why Cefnor?

I really like but why Cefnor?
it's debatable if there is a whole plate on that inner sea and apparently it's ancient name, which can always be changed, is Cefnor.

Just doesn't flow nicely. How about... Azlant?
