Ebola threat and national response
« on: October 14, 2014, 11:56:23 AM »
As many of you are aware, there is currently an outbreak (heavily played upon by the media) or Ebola. I propose a conference of like minded nations with the intent to stop the outbreak before it reaches the borders of our individual nations. Role Play will revolve around 2x threads: A strategic (conference and international) Response and a Tactical (On the ground) Response. I will assume that there is already an outbreak somewhere in Taijitu, and will produce maps, graphics and such.

Is anyone interested?

I'd be more interested in RPing something less directly lifted from the news.

Historically in Taijitu we may have had some kind of super-rabies in Rykkovaa that affected humans more than belaedinosi, which was at least temporarily dealt with with the development of vaccination in the 1860s. Perhaps a mutant variety which resists vaccination?

Or some other alternative?

If we do write an epidemic I'd suggest keeping it extra-canonical or contained and with a (relatively) low casualty rate. I'd rather not have to explain hundreds of thousands of deaths in my country alone. :P

it doesnt necessarily have to be ebola, in fact we could have fun investigating how it was created/released etc.

Also, we would expect that with first world nations such as ours, we should be able to keep this contained, I dont particularly wasnt thousands of casaulties, perhaps have the casaulties overseas etc?
