WEEKLY !@#$ING WORLDBUILDING DISCUSSION: VULGAR LANGUAGE
« on: October 17, 2015, 06:41:49 AM »
A monk once told the Master, "I think of three swear words before noon rice."
Confucius then said, "放你媽的狗臭屁"

-The Anal-ects of Confucius

Disclose your grittiest, dirtiest words, euphemisms, phrases, and jokes for your nation/culture/language. The usual direct to English swears aren't enough, post its literal meaning if it's different.

To anyone who just uses English or whatever for their language, don't worry, most (probably all) of us just make up our language as we go along

Leaving a chair empty when eating at a restaurant or bar. It's seen as a waste of good seating.

Placing your hand on your chest with your thumb curled behind your palm. This was a sign of the Northern sympathizers during the Greater War.

Having a loud or rambunctious conversation at a dining table while there are kids eating.

I had this idea as a thread long ago. It was ignored. Oz, perhaps there is a chance. I could not bring forth the Vulgar World. It falls to you now. Bring us to the Obscenity, Oz.

Ghedde: A disease carrying rodent with a scavenger diet, reviled in khemish culture and viewed as incarnations of that which is unclean. While once a dire insult it has come to be a vulgar term of endearment among those the Da'Kavo view as comrades.

Mo'Khem: Half-Blood, used as an insult for those of mixed parentage. This term is considered very vulgar and racist in the modern era.

N'Khem: Sometimes shortened to "N' " (Non). Both an insult and a descriptive term, meaning "Not Khem/Khemish". This is a grave insult from one Khem to another but the general term for those not belonging to khemish culture, certain cultures of southern Cefnor (such as the Jutensans, Omsari and Funkadelians) are exempt from this label. This term is considered very vulgar and racist in the modern era but still maintains common usage.

N'Ta: Blind, without faith, forsaken.

Zhi: Drunk or otherwise intoxicated person who though in good spirits is causing frustration to another. Also used for those who are seen as "drunk on belief" in foolish ways; such as followers of foreign faiths, social, economic, and political ideologies. Based on dealings with Ozians.
