Title: Household OOC
Post by: Myroria on January 10, 2015, 08:40:20 PM
Planning Room thread about my new piece, Household (http://forum.taijitu.org/pre-modern/household-(1968-1969)/). This might end up being novel length so I hope I can hold everyone's interest.

I was thinking of making some family trees to help keep relationships between characters straight - would this help anyone? If not I might just not bother.

Threw together this family tree in GRAMPS of the Giriths. The Sarerovths will come later once I introduce them properly.

EDIT: Dotted line indicates adoption/fostering.

I knew it! That girl somehow became a member of the house.  Unless I am reading the tree wrong...then nvm.

To anyone following this piece;

I've mentioned this in IRC, but I'm taking a break from this probably until the spring. I plan to make Household novel-length, but thematically it's dark and only going to get darker. That, along with my efforts to edit the also-dark Other People into something tighter, with a simpler setting and the goal of eventual publication, has compounded with the Northeast US' worst winter in years to make it hard, mentally, to continue Household at this time.

I will likely be beginning a dark comedy/farce at some point soon, as well as continuing to work on Cynocephaly with Gulliver. I've just heard some good feedback about Household so I figured I should let anyone who's been following it know that I'm taking a little hiatus from it. I will probably start work on it back up in the spring once all this oppressive snow has melted.

Yeah, but then you won't have that sweet, sweet seasonal affective disorder to get you in the right mood.
