A note about the CSSD's government.

Sovereign Dixie:
Since adapting my nation to fit a premade timeline, and the inclusion of several different aspects which really seem to change the overall dynamic of the nation (with regards to how I've traditionally represented it) I'm making some changes to the government which should probably be explained OOC to try to prevent confusion.

In this timeline, the Confederate States of Sovereign Dixie has adopted a Parliamentary system. My previous two posts will be retcon'd to reflect the changes.

Basically, it will work like this.

President - Elected by popular vote every 5 years. No term limit.

Parliament- representatives elected every 3 years. No term limit. Head of party with most seats becomes PM. The number of seats a state holds will be based by population.

President will be head of state and basically the same authorities overall as the RL US pres.

PM will be head of Parliament and second in line of succession should the president be incapacitated. There is no VP.


State governments are determined by that states own individual governments and constitutions. Some will have Legislatures and Governors, some will have Senates, some will have scaled down parliamentary systems where the title of Governor is replaced by a State Minister,  and one will have a Ruling Council.


I know you all did not really NEED all of this info, but figured I'd post it just so everyone knows what the fuck I'm talking about.
