Title: Just a friendly game of cards
Post by: Solnath on June 20, 2007, 11:33:44 PM
Two Kings and a Tower looked at him with their dull stares. He returned the gaze. Then he looked up from his cards and placed them face up on the table. Smiling widely he leaned back in his chair and studied the other players, a motley lot. Of course, he wasn't the most common type of player himself, but he had become to think like a human during these long, weary years on the Mortal Plane in disguise, hiding from the dragon guardians. Scratching his black beard with long nails, the former Prince of the Seventeenth Hell, Jaxxomi, spoke, "Three Kings and a pair of Towers," his voice reminded that of a naga's, stretching and breaking some of the consonants in his voice. "I do believe I shall be taking the spot."

Baron Zemir looked dully at his playing companion, he had known about his had since it was drawn the gifts of a spirit keeper put to more bland uses. “Im sorry to disappoint you my friend but I have your fourth Lord of the land and his family are all dressed together”

With a slight smirk he placed a royal flush on the table it was his best hand of the night and he knew he wouldn't top it but at least he got something out of it. These games were more for the gloating the money meant so little to him but beating people always game him joy. He looked around at the other players his eyes flashing with a red glow as he looked at the different souls in the room. He had been alive for much longer then he should have and maintained it by the use of those souls. He was their master in truth but he was a far from kind one. “Good hand don't you think?”

Ajax looked up from his set of cards and looked at his opponents

hmmm, i guess i will have more trouble then i thought

"Well, you both beat me, i only have 3 5 cards."

He set his cards down at the table, but he looked around the tavern, after all, he wasn't along here. he had his buddies from there home village that traveled with him, looking for fame and fortune, often stopping at taverns like this for a few days at a time, gambling and drinking.
