Title: Citizen-Sargent Election Nominations: Umbrôse 14, AR 2 (Feb. 7, 2016 OS)

It's time to open these up. Of the Us is our current Citizen-Sargent and is eligible to run for re-election should he so choose. Nominations will be open for five days.

Ok...so this is a bit of a pickle.

Feb. 12, 2016 was the final day to lock in nominations. Now Khem nominated Elu on the 11th...and Red Mones seconded on the 12th...so all good there timing wise. Problem is that it is now the 13th. Which means that Elu would be declared ineligible for not accepting in time.
Except that his first post in this thread, on the 11th, could be read as a self-nomination. If that's the case? Then he's in. If it isn't a self-nomination? Then he's ineligible to run.

On one hand I'm predisposed to say that since Elu never said "I'm running" or "I'm nominating myself" he should be declared ineligible. On the other hand...under a certain interpretation? His post could be read as a statement of intent.

The start of the Citizen-Sgt. election will be postponed while the office of  the Citizen-Initiator works this out.

Elu and I have spoken. He informed me that duties elsewhere (cograts again Elu!) mean he won't be able to commit to a campaign or the duties of  the Citizen-Sgt. if elected. So it looks like a one-man race.
