The End of the TRR Operation
« on: July 22, 2007, 02:22:47 AM »
Esteemed Taijituans,

the Operation TRR has ended. All Taijituan UNs present in the TRR are called back home and will be receiving a Telegram in a few hours.

I understand this is a disputed move and that some of you will not be willing to over-look it. It is my hope though, that some will understand it as it has been, a move attempting to bring back some of the thrill in this game, to revive the international scene and leave a mark for Taijitu in the NS history. As the TRR residents have shown a clear support for their delegate, the decision to pull back has been reached without any doubt. This is the message announcing our withdrawal from TRR:

Quote
A number of people, from within Taijitu and the wider NS world have asked me why today’s invasion of RR took place…It happened to spice up the game and shake up a bit the way the game is played. That has been the primary objective.
We also had not ruled out the possibility that the people of the RR might be ready for a change, and that we could help bring that about. Such is the nature of military expeditions that the question could not be asked before I was in the region.
The show of support for Kandarin, from within the region and from the wider community, has been impressive. We have found out some interesting things about the big players still involved in the game. Was it also a lesson? I think so.
I realize that many people disapprove of this action, in Taijitu and abroad. So as not to increase conflict and cause increased hurt, I announce the following:
Taijitu is withdrawing from the Rejected Realms. I am moving immediately, and I urge those nations ejected from Taijitu last night to do the same.
This withdrawal comes with my apologies to the people of the Rejected Realms for the trouble that has been created, and a special apology to Kandarin himself.
Kandarin, don't take this the wrong way, your beer tasted good and your record will stay forever. Perhaps this game is not dying after all?

I will be working as hard as possible at getting the UN nations from TRR back home.

I thank all those who have showed understanding or at least support until the end of this. I completely understand the ones who have not. This community is one of the strongest in NS, no matter what some will say. I am proud of belonging to it, although I have made some of you ashamed of me and my actions. However, I hope that the actions today will positively influence the game. The activity has reached dramatic quotas today. I think that now we must concentrate on getting back what I have caused Taijitu to loose, and not jumping at each-others throats over the matter.
I will be doing it, irrelevant of what shall become of me.

Humbly your's,
Gunner.

On a side note: This has brought quite a few Rejected Realmers who aren't on the forums much out of the woodwork. We'd love to have you around on the forums! UN, non-UN, it doesn't matter, we're all part of the same Rejected Realms, and we're all responsible for building the community together.

I will be the first to admit that the complaints about the government system here voiced by the Taijitu leaders who launched this are not without validity. There is a decided lack of organized government here. That can be a good thing or a bad thing, but if you have strong opinions on it, by all means let me know. I'm here to do the will of the people, but I need your input and I need your help.

Thank you,
Kandarin

I agree with Valyrian Steel. Although a new government should be really handful...Imagine something new...i am talking nonsense now but i have a small idea of my own.

Please do post it on the forum for discussion, then. The RMB is nice, but posts are swept away all too swiftly.

:trout: Give the man a chance. He's had a very rough couple of days, probably sleeping right now. I'm sure that is coming soon.

I'm sure he'll do so again in a more verbose and more Taijitu-oriented way.

Unless I missed the one you're talking about Khab in which case I'm an idiot <_<

I can't remember all the spots where I've seen him apologize, but there's one still in my in-game TG box that includes
Quote
I owe you an apology and an explanation
and
Quote
If this move by me has caused you any grief, I herby apologize.
The above was sent to all nations who were moved.  If I can find more of them, I'll post links.  But I hate to try to go through all the posts that have been made since this thing began.

Hello again,

Osafune is actually right. I owe an apology not only to those directly affected by this move, but to all Taijituans who care about this region. I have written so many TGs and talked to so many people, that I have missed voicing it all in a single post.

The fact that this move has involved risking the stability of our region has not been ignored, but evaluated and assumed. It is probable that it was the thought at the impact such an action can have on the entire NS, that has been decisive, but trust me, I have not done so with a light heart, by no means. I understand, however, that many of you have been negatively affected, hurt, and that our community finds itself at a turning point at the moment. I have realized that a bit too late, and renounced the action.

For all that, I apologize to all members of Taijitu, and stand ready to accept my destiny. I realize some have lost faith in me, and I do not blame them for that. The only favor I ask of you is that you do not allow that these actions damage other people of this community and that you do not lend your ears to the hollow opportunism of some, trying to take advantage of this situation, sparing no means to take down others, besides me. I feel that my decision was right from the point of view of the game, and wrong from the perspective of the community I call home. There was no way to bring them both together, however badly had I wished to ask you what you think about it.

I will do my best to make up for the damage and will embrace whatever decision the Honorable Court may have for me.

Gunner.

Thank you for the apology, Gunner.  Though you certainly made a big mistake, it takes a strong person to admit they were wrong and own up to the consequences.
