Great news for national leaders!

 While the value of the Koku remains static, GDP of the nation has soared, primarily due to the previous motion to open Joukai's borders. Intra-clan trade has contributed to this increasing trend as tariffs have been decreasing steadily since the motion to maximize intra-clan tariffs prompted the Oda and Mori to lower their tariffs, which were soon followed by the Go-Hojo, Takeda, and Sanada.

 The Wealth of the confederacy increases, we may all rest easy that the Dai-Joukai Rikugun will not have to scale back its growth as previously thought.

Market Wars?
Tensions between Oda and Mori worsen over the recent cornering of the Computer Technology by Oda Electronics caused a huge drop in JiBei Tech shares. OE now has the power to control the industry and JT is finding very hard to compete. It is speculated that the Mori will challenge the Oda over the issue in the next Congress. The Question - can one clan be allowed to control a market in intra-clan economy? So far this issue has not arisen due to the tariffs but with the recent lowering, smaller clan markets will likely be crushed in their own domains, obviously threatening an element of The Balance, but is it enough for the rest of the congress to react in favor of the Mori? This will be decided next congress.

Koku Strengthens!

 As the new economic regulations are put in place and the old system of blocked off ports continue, the value of the Koku drastically increased. The Koku, formerly traded at K$2.7 to $1 US has skyrocketed in value now traded at K$1.3 to $1 US. If you have invested in the Koku, hold onto your investments now as our economy continues to strengthen. GDP has doubled and the each citizen is expected to be paid that much more. With the new enormous Confederate budget, unemployment drops by 7% as the confederacy opens new job opportunities.

Foreign Exchange!

 In an act of Foreign diplomacy, Gichou of the Confederacy and Daimyo of the Mori Clan shall make a historic venture to the lands of the Holy Knights Templarios, bringing with him several monks and intellectuals of our glorious Confederations from each of the clans to observe Templarian rituals and learn of their way of life. Mori-domo (-domo an honorific used for the head of clans), shall attend a mass, or religious gathering of the Templarian faith, in celebration of the new found relations. To honor this historic event, the first time a Daimyo will visit foreign lands since the Age of Warring States 500 years ago, and the first time a Gichou will represent our glorious confederation in foreign territory.

Victory!
 
 Today, Coalition forces from the main Confederate Army and from the clans under the command of Taisho Yamabushi, have defeated Xyraeli forces around the Shimazu Island area (Uichi Ryu). The attack lasted only a few hours before leading Xyraeli commanders surrendered to the Combined onslaught of our forces. The region is still unsafe however due to a mutiny within the ranks of the Illuminate forces. Now their still remains that insurgency in the north. Since the territory is now ours, these fighters are no longer protected by any international standards as they are now - rebels. Their insurgency is expected to be crushed momentarily.

The world shall tremble at the might of our brotherhood.

Golden Age!

 By all definitions, our Confederacy is experiencing a Golden Age of Prosperity. By the continued wise and strong leadership of Chairman Mori, our economic surge continues. A recent third party analysis of government spending has shown that government waste has decreased significantly, unemployment is at an all time low of 9.32%, and the average citizen of the Confederacy now enjoys K$20,232.98 a year ($20,637.64). Economists predict that once Uichi Ryu has been fully conquered and normal activity resumes - the strength of the Koku and the GDP of the nation should increase dramatically.

The Confederacy only brings wealth and fortune.
