OOC: I'm writing this at 2:30 AM on my phone, so hopefully this comes out right :P

The sun was beating down on the deserts of the southern border of Funkadelia. The two border guards to The Diamond Coast were shooting the breeze.

"Bastards. I can't believe we got deployed out here, especially in this heat."

"Well, you heard the General, man, as long as these assholes are trying to steal from our coal mines, we've got to be on the lookout."

"Don't youever think, that maybe, it might be a lie?"

"Don't say that. Why would they be lying to us about an international incident?"

"Hm.... that is a good point...."

And at that moment, an armored division rolled right up to the border. One tank had a microphone:

"We, the Federation of Funkadelia, *Demand* that you stop stealing our resources immediately. This is your final warning."

From the other side of the border, silence...

"We ask again, do you comply?!"

Still, more silence...

Then, as if from hell itself, a trail of smoke comes hurtling at the tank. The tank is enveloped in a ball of flame.

"Shit, shit, shit!" One of the border guards screamed, as the scene went to total chaos in an instant. "We need some fucking backup!"

Just as the words left his mouth, 2 bombers flew low over the ground, carpeting the hostiles below.

"Galloway, man, I think it's war. This has gotta be war, they wouldn't have done that so fast normally. We have to get the fuck outta here!"

"No, we can't do that, Rivers! We have to make sure they don't cross into Funkadelia!" The other yelled, looking out for any more hostiles

"Cut the heroics bullshit, man, we're gonna die!"

Second Lieutenant Galloway leveled his barrel at Sergeant Rivers, "Listen, Rivers. You desert, I shoot. Got it? Now take your goddamn position and look out for hostiles!"

It was just after sundown in the Capital City of Funky Nassau. The ambassador to The Federation of Funkadelia was just arriving at a meeting with some of the nation’s top ministers and advisors.  After some brief formalities, they began talking about the current issues that brought them together.

“Ambassador, as you are well aware of by now, war may, and is very likely to be official very soon. We need to know your nations stance on our conflict, we need to know if our so far positive relations may continue.”

“With all due respect Minister,” The ambassador quaintly replied, “we are experiencing some border conflicts ourselves, I’m not sure if we could offer to much support. Would your administration appreciate some mineral and fuel supplies to help your war effort?”

“We don’t need your damn minerals!” replied another minister from accost the meeting table. “ What we want is your military and political support on this matter. We know you’ve been buying supplies from Diamond Coast for years now. And we also are fairly certain you could spare a few ships and brigades to rough up their coast.”

Taking a second to ponder over how to reply, and not wanting to overstep his bounds, the ambassador replied “All I can readily promise right away is resource support. I could ask the navy to perhaps blockade Diamond Coast, but I will need some time to set up negotiations, and perhaps, a future favor in return.”

“A naval blockade and resource support would be much appreciated” said a third, up until now quite figure. “Please do what you can to get back to us regarding this ambassador, You’re dismissed.”
All men suddenly stood up, and the ambassador took a bow. Walking back to his embassy through the political district of Funky Nassau city, he thought deeply to himself. It was unsettling that armed conflict on two different continents, both unrelated, were flaming up arms and resource gathering. He knew that The Empire of Letonna would more than likely send a blockade to Diamond Coast. The Emperor would much rather have a dependable ally than trade friendly nation. And with that naval blockade would entangle all these conflicts. A world war could very well spark from this deal he was about to go through with.

Arriving back at his office, most of his staff had retired to their rooms for the night. He went straight to his desk phone, and punched the extensions for The Military Commande. “This is Ambassador to FoF, seek immediate approval for a naval blockade of diamond coast, as well as a few mineral tributes to FoF.” With a soft clack he hung up the phone and made his way to his desk. Out of a bottom drawn he took out a bottle of Fine Myrorian brandy, and poured himself a glass….

Thinking over her outburst, Biryndra Ommos, the Chancellor to the Federal Council, was worried. Hearing that Emperor Titus of EoL was joining her sick minded majesty Queen Matilda in an effort of Conquest and Colonization, she didn't know if her nation would be able to stand in the way for long. She knew she had to seek out an ally to help stand in the way of all of this madness with her. She needed another leader who believed in righteous justice.

Biryndra sent letters to other leaders but none were returned positively. It was like the whole world was against her, until she found herself writing to Curtis Bradley, the President of The Republic of Funkadelia. She knew they were completely seperated by an ocean, but at this point she needed anyone. UNAWARE of TRoF's current situation she decided to right a letter:

"Mr. President,

It has come to my attention that the world we live in may be threatened by The Empire of Letonna and The Kingdom of Southern Mcmasterdonia. I previously had a meeting with Emperor Titus of Letonna. He told me the Queen Matilda's plan of Conquest and Colonization. I write this letter to you in hopes that you will see through my eyes and agree that they must be stopped, I am begging you. I know writing a letter isn't the fastest way of communication, but it is to me the most formal way. If you would like to hold a meeting I will be more than happy to fly over with my Council. I beg you one last time, please...."

Sincerely,

Biryndra Ommos
Federal Chancellor

Chancellor Ommos,

I am deeply troubled by the fact that you failed to notice the fact that Funkadelia is in the midst of war, or you blatantly ignored it. Even more so that you would send a letter telling me to dissolve the treaties I have established to aid us in wartime. Madam, what you are suggesting is preposterous, and I recommend you take a good hard look at the past that Funkadelia has had with Letonna *and* Southern Mcmasterdoina both before sending me another letter. I find it surprising that not even the highest member of government can get accurate world news, if it is the case you don't know what's happening in my country.

 Sincerely,

Curtis Bradley,
President of the Senate,
Republic of Funkadelia

President Bradley,

I am sorry to hear that you are in such a state of inconvenience that you must bad mouth me. I do not see fit your immature name calling to be of my civilized level. I sent the previous letter in hopes for us to help one another other out, I help you in your war effort, and you help me defeat the "union" that Queen Matilda is creating. I furthermore cannot believe that you and your countrymen are for Conquest and Colonization of the world. It is not yours for the taking, and neither is it mine. The unclaimed lands are for peoples of oppression, those who would love a cause. The claimed lands are already taken and deserve to stay in the hands of their people. I have no other words to utter to you, you may count this as your warning.

 Sincerely,

Biryndra Ommos
Chancellor of the Federal Council

To Curtis Bradley,

President Bradley,

Apologies to write to you when your nation is in the grip of war. Intelligence points that Biryndra Ommos of the Federal Republic of Cozulul intends to support a rebellion in my country due to our interest in the new world. As a nation having to deal with the hardness and casulaties of war, I am sure you can understand I am willing to turn to extreme measures to prevent that woman from launching an unprovoked war against my nation.

My army is large, and so is my air force. I pledge air and ground support to you, on the condition that once this crisis is abated you come and visit me in Libertrad City for some intense rounds of negotiations regarding future conquests, and at the very least you agree to sign a peace treaty between our nations. It will provide an opportunity for growth in our nations, and perpetual peace in the world.

Sincerely

Her Grace by the might of god Queen Matilda,
Queen of Southern McMasterdonia
Princess Elector of the Mcmasterdonian Emperor
The Kingdom of Southern McMasterdonia

After a few months of a very successful blockade, the Letonnian military was ready for it's next step to help the country of Funkadelia in it's territory war with Diamond Coast.  The blockade still stood strong, but it was now joined with many lander craft full of soldiers. As per directive from the Military and Unification pact signed a few days earlier between Mcmasterdonia and Letonna, invasion forces were now being deployed to coastal towns and ship yards of Diamond coast. Heavy artillery bombardment from the battleships had already begun, and thick black smoke slowly rose from the coast line. As soon as the fleet admiral gave the work, the landing craft were off, all slowly and clumsily pushing towards shore. Within the next 12 hours, many small coastal towns were held, and naval and military installations were held and awaiting looting and destruction. As per Mcmasterdonian intelligence, it was discovered many disguised military depots along the coast, away from the front line fighting of the north with Funkadelia. The Letonnian military had taken a major step in it's effort to further the Funkadelian efforts, and it could be assumed the war was now very winnable for them.

Your Majesty,

It is with the utmost sincerity that I thank you for your kind assistance with our current conflict. As you know first hand, border issues can sometimes escalate quickly, and I am glad to have such great allies. I graciously accept any assistance you will offer me. On another note, I will detach my Foreign Minister as soon as possible to discuss future courses of actions. I look forward to a more fruitful relationship with your Kingdom.

Sincerely yours,

Curtis Bradley,
President of the Senate,
Republic of Funkadelia

The Mcmasterdonian's came to the Ivory Coast in their black hawk helicopters and jets. The air-craft carriers landing in the fields, deploying thousands of men to assist the Republic of Funkadelia in this border crisis.
The helicopters fired at the oil fields and they lit up and burned with rage as hot as the Queen's temper. The helicopters dropped burning oil, raining down from the sky it cooked everything it touched. The people could only run, and try to hide themselves, as the village around them was consumed by fire.
Children cried as their goats were consumed by the fiery black liquid death. The sounds of screaming children, yelping animals and the crackling ground filled the nights sky, as the rebel village burnt to the ground.
As quickly as they had come, the McMasterdonian's were gone.

And thus the first village had fallen to The Empire.

*Queen Matilda escorts the Funkadelian Minister of Foreign Affairs
Queen Matilda: "It was on this day, that we assisted an ally of ours, your nation, minister, in claiming what is yours. In time people of my Empire will claim what belongs to us to. It is up to your President whether you agree to this.
Minister: With all due respect your majesty, you are being quite vague. We value your assistance, but what will it require of us?
Queen Matilda: tell your President, exactly what I told Emperor Titis. This union will expect nothing short of everything you have to give, and in turn this union will grant you anything you could ever accept. Some have refused, their arrogance blinds them, they will pay in time.
Minister: You have a keen mind your majesty, but you are still being decisively vague
Queen Matilda: Everything I do is with purpose, everything I say is with reason. I suggest you be careful, that you do not miscalculate or think you can out maneuver or outwit me Minister
Minister: Your majesty, I assure you no offence was intended
Queen Matilda: Intended or not, what I have told you was good enough for the Emperor of Letonna himself. It should be more that satisfactory for you. Tell President Bradley, I am eager to speak with him. I extend him an opportunity, I will only do so once, use it wisely.

*The Minister bows, and walks down the hall*

OOC: Mcmaster you're starting to sound like Kreia ^-^

Late at night, President Bradley walked paced back and forth in his office with a phone to his ear.

"Yes, your majesty, I saw what happened. Don't you think it was a bit...uh.... extreme? Dropping burning oil on everyone? I am no proponent of total warfare for a petty border dispute."

"Hm, that is an interesting prospect, your majesty. I think Funkadelia could benefit from this, as well as it from Funkadelia. I accept to your terms."

"Yes, good night, your majesty. Oh, and thank you for the help. I greatly appreciate it."
