Taijitu National Holidays
« on: November 08, 2007, 07:43:33 PM »
The following dates mark special occasions in Taijitu, and by general consensus, there is a usually region-wide holiday on these days, with much partying and drinking  :drunks: (but only if you are about the legal age limit  :fight: ).

January 4th a.k.a. "Taijitu Day" (To celebrate the founding of Taijitu)
January 14th a.k.a. "Constitution Day" (To celebrate the signing of Taijitu's Constitution)

Any others I should add?

It should be noted that there is currently legislation in the works to have these holidays officially recognized and enshrined in law instead of just being informally celebrated by those "in the know". There is currently some question as to whether this is needed or not, I for one believe that unless officially recognized by law these are not official holidays but others disagree. I'd encourage everyone to weigh in with their opinions on this matter.

You're missing 1337 day. Don't remember when it is, but it should be there.

What, we need legislation in order to celebrate now?  Pffft, just talk to the MoC to arrange something.  Oh.  Yeah.  That would be me at the moment.  BUT you're in luck, because any excuse for a party works fer me!
