Title: RPs
Post by: Kordotha on April 20, 2007, 10:55:28 PM
Might seem a silly question--in which I case I beg pardon--but is there any general protocol for who can join in the RPs?  Only nations with so many posts, a spot on the map, etc?  I don't want to be rude and barge into an RP without the proper credentials!

For Future RP, it's completely free-for-all. Of course, it's always common courtesy not to join someone's thread without their permission. Concerning standard NS-based RP, you should have accumulated 30 posts and then have applied for a spot on the map, just in case, but I'm not completely sure it is an absolute requirement. Strongly encouraged, in any case.

Actually, there's no requirements (except the courtesy thing). In fact, it is encouraged that anyone and everyone tries to RP. A spot on the map is helpful, especially when you try to have other people come to your country, but isn't necessary. (Unfortunately, I haven't seen Oz update the map in a while...  :( ) And the 30 post thing is for the former RP council, I think...

Yes, it's for a spot on the map, as it was back in the Lexicon, and as it has always been.  If you don't have a spot on the map, and wish to RP people in your country, then it's helpful if you provide coordinates.

The one thing I would caution against if you don't have a spot on the map is...don't join in any wars or alliances.  Those are very map-based RPs, and it's incredibly annoying to all concerned if you don't have a spot.
