Title: Unwelcome Visitors
Post by: Dysanii on June 25, 2007, 04:29:39 PM
OOC: Llanydern, I don’t know where your border defences are or how many men are situated along the border. I have made the initial invasion quite vague to get around this, until you can maybe put up a rough map of where your major cities/border defences are?

G-C, I was also unsure if your ships were at Llanydern yet. If they are, just take the last paragraph as a preventative measure against anymore G-C/UASS vessels from entering the waters.

As for personnel involved, around 3.5 million Dysanians make up the invasion force, whereas about 2.2 million southern Ryzanian conscripts are involved in the forward actions.

IC: It was early afternoon when the first Dysanian troops crossed the border. For miles, the sight of ordered troop lines and armoured support could be seen travelling in a southerly direction, with air support flying overhead to scout the surrounding areas. The invasion force moved along the entire border in a bid to pressure the Llanydern forces on all fronts – something that was believed could be accomplished with the larger Dysanian numbers.

Ahead of the main attack force were the advance units; conscripted personnel converging on pre-planned points of attack, notably the bases of border forces. Using out-of-date tanks, planes, artillery and what ever else could be quickly deployed by the Dysanian military for the forward southern Ryzanian personnel, zealous conscripts threw themselves at the Llanydern. The vehicles and equipment in use were not top-of-the-range for the poor Ryazanians, but the ground and air support was able enough, with the right manpower, to present a good fight for the Llanydern forces.

A ploy used for generations by the Dysanian military command, this simple tactic proved successful on many campaigns. The objectives of the southern Ryazanian conscripts were to wear down the enemy; in supplies, morale and men. Although the Llanydern forces had superior weaponry compared to the forward forces, the equipment and vehicles used by the conscripts would hopefully be enough to keep the out-numbered, but alerted, Llanydern border forces occupied while the main invasion force – the bulk of which were trained Dysanian personnel using the most recent in military hardware – to move up and deliver the final blows to the bases situated along the Ryazanian-Llanydern border, opening a gateway for the invasions of the cities.

In order to support this initial attack and to disrupt the Llanydern imports and exports, Dysanian ships moved slightly into Llanydern waters in preparation from ports along the western coast of southern Ryazania. Two entire flotillas were also assigned to guard the waters around Xyrael, in anticipation of any Gallipoli-Chinese, indeed any UASS naval intervention and to prevent them from joining their Llanydern allies.

OOC: They couldn't possibly have reached Llanydern's western coast, and they'd be pretty useless on the eastern coast.  How large are your flotillas?  I will IGNORE every attack on my fleet until I know how large your flotillas are.  FYI, this is the size of the fleet I've sent to the aid of Llanydern.

Captain Tiu grabs and puts on one of the radio head set. "Captain Tiu reporting from DS 6. What's going on?"

"DS 6, you are order to abandon your current operation, your new objective has been sent to your IC."

The captain went over to the IC screen and logged on.

To the Government of Dysanii

Remove your forces immediately from Llanydern soil, you are violating the territorial jurisdiction of our ally. Cease your advance now, or you would face the deep consequences for your actions. The UASS would not tolerate aggression against our members, and will respond with force if necessary. This is your first and last warning.

From the Loyalist Republic

Loyalist War Council, 72 minutes after the start of the invasion

"Well gentlemen, let's make the best of our situation". Before the Chancellor were four of the District Generals, a Battalion General subbing in for General Ben Shin, and the entire LA Headquarter General Staff. Maps and papers were spill out onto the table.

LAA Flight Chief: The minimal distance for our planes to travel is 2800 km, our Firestorms can reach this easy with enough fuel to come home, but none of our jets can fly over for any period of time, range is just too short...we don't have much of an immediate air option.

Chancellor: We need to secure a air base with Llanydern. Generals, what sort of ground options do we have?

General Jin Yu: I wish we had deploy our forces sooner, but we're stuck with nothing to stop the advance. There's that one SID division heading to Llanydern on boat, but it'll be several hours before they reach Llanydern...

Chancellor: One division? 5 000 men without armour or air support would be suicide!

General Jin Yu: There's nothing we can do... Our troops in Uichi Ryu can't deploy till PUR makes their move. One division of infantry and a small armour element.

Chancellor: This is bad...what's our progress on the transports?...

Grand Admiral Sui Lee: Won't be a few months till we get enough to carry a battalion...we'll have to depend on our allies to transport our troops...

Deep silence fill the room...the invasion has caught the DCL military at a bad time.

"Link me up with Llanydern and the UASS Council, no point in planning this alone..."

You should know that the Gallipoli-Chinese overseas land forces have been relocated from New Delfos to southeastern Llanydern, and will link up with any forces you send to reinforce Llanydern's positions.  The force of 40 Type 63-A amphibious tanks, 1000 troops, and 20 Type 90 self-propelled howitzers is small, but it is mobile, and will be able to adequately augment any infantry or armored force that you are able to get into Llanydern.

Once our fleet reaches Llanydern waters, hopefully avoiding contact with Dysanii vessels, you will have Gallipoli-Chinese air support to call upon as well.

We wish our Comrades best of luck,
Feng Hu, Defense Committee Chairman, Gallipoli-China

Things were going without a hitch.  The Gallipoli-Chinese fleet had reached TUFM waters without being molested in any way by Dysanii vessels.  However, if Dysanii's military leaders were smart, they would have blockaded Llanydern's west coast.  There would likely be heavy fighting there.

Llanydern doesn't really have cities (the largest single settlement is ~50,000 people (Aberystwyth the nearest Llanydern has to a capital (the council meets there and the university of Llanydern is organized from there) and is located deep in the mountains in the heart of Llanydern)) the settlement pattern is many small towns (10,000 to 25,000 on average) each of which has one major industry (normally) so the population of Llanydern is very urbanized and quite dense (no jokes) but doesn't live in cities (basically the people of Llanydern like to live in reasonably large groups but dislike being crowded).  So if you look at the population density of Llanydern as a whole its a high density population.

Basically no cities just huge numbers of towns, so you won't get stuck in a Stalingrad but there will be lots of little street battles which will slow you down and wear at you.

Facing you are the remnants of the Border guard who are well armed trained and motivated but they are not conventional troops so you will get raids, assassination attempts, sabotage, mines laid on roads, ambushes that kinda thing (basically you come over the border they go to ground and when your main units have passed on they will harass your rear areas ( I'm honestly not trying to make innuendo) they are about 150,000 men and women but part of them are not facing you (not all my northern border goes up against Dysanii territory) and some will have died in the early fighting but there will be between 50,000 and 80,000 of them left (original numbers facing Dysanii territory 100,000).

There is also the somewhat understrength 1st army group (600,000 men and women as the fighting force) which will be holding choke points (fords, bridges, etc) and will also be ambushing your forces when they can (these troops are all grade 1 and grade 2 so they are full time professionals and reservists (the reservists are trained for 2-6 years depending on what service they enter and also whether they have been picked for officer/NCO training, then they are called up to serve 2 months of the year in addition to Sunday training).

Then there is the air force which facing you has about 200,000 men and women (grades 1, 2 and 3 (3 is limited to anti aircraft units on the border at the moment)) of which about 50,000 are actually involved with aircraft mainly helicopters, recon, fighter and interdiction (fighter and interdiction aircraft are variants of the panavia tornado as is close in recon) as well as about 25,000 helicopter mobile troops, the rest are grade 2 or 3 anti air craft units tied in to defense of towns and military formations.

There are militia and security forces who are in defensive positions in and around the towns these are well equipped with man portable weapons as well as some anti tank weapons, they have some older model armoured units (think like a town will have at max a section of tanks or light tanks somewhat old fashioned (think about the same level as T-70 soviet tanks) but well maintained) what transport they have is mainly soft skinned or makeshift (there have been reports of civilian vehicles being armed/armoured.  They have some limited artillery and have good protection against air attack (mainly tube weapons) and in the first 250km or so they probably number somewhere around 5 million maybe more.

Also any towns along the coast might well have naval troops there (if you live along the coast you go to the navy for your military service)

The 2nd and 3rd army groups are massing and there has been a general call up of all military personnel, the navy and air force are pretty much mobilized but as this has so far been a land war are of limited utility (my fleet when I check what state its in (i.e. is it 10/11 days since I did the news post and if not how much of it will be ready ) will be getting involved with yours.

A logical goal would be the seizure of the oil fields on western seaboard roughly on a line with the mountains as this would slow if not stop my counter attack (or at least limit it).

"Come on, move a little faster!" A drillmaster scream out to his driver.
"Ah, shut up Gregir! We're driving on rough terrain, any faster and we'll tip over!" Private Hei, the driver, replies.
"We got a train to catch in Westfield! Miss it, and we'll have to walk!" he screamed back.

Several hundred 8 ton and 2.5 ton trucks row across the rocky plateau which connects the Loyalist Republic with the lands of the Union. Heads bearing helmets clamor at the back of the trucks, some towing 73mm guns behind them.

"Bloody dog, this truck was meant for the road!" The driver yell out as one of the tires ran over a sizable stone.
"Come on, we got two hundred kilometres to go!" the drillmaster scream into the cab again.

"Union border guards!" A private from the truck in front scream out. "Where's the Marshal! We got Union guards dead ahead!"

Llanydern

The conscripts suffered severe casualties at the hands of the Llanydern border forces. An estimated 200,000 personnel were lost in the initial push on the border. Despite the loss of life, the conscript armies of the Empire have penetrated the border defences and made good, if costly, progress.

The invasion force, 3.5 million Dysanians strong, has brought up behind the advancing conscript armies. This has proven a great offensive tactic, as while the conscripts push further in, the trained main invasion force has been able to mop up, limiting the effectiveness and amount of rear attacks by left over border forces, if not quite completely stopping them, and commanding control over the towns closest to the border.

This is viewed as a positive start to the invasion. The unexpected absence of large amounts of UASS personnel against the Ryazanian-Dysanii forces has left the attack open for quicker advance into the Llanydern nation.

One of the two flotillas guarding the waters around Xyrael has been moved to meet up with three more flotillas. This huge concentration of ships has been sent into an offensive on the western coast of Llanydern in an attempt to drive any active naval groups from the Llanydern coast. This has brought all five Ryazanian-Dysanii flotillas in these waters into action.

Uichi Ryu

Several amphibious landings occurred along the coast to the north of Uichi Ryu from Metz Minor. Some 150,000 personnel and military hardware has begun moving down along the edge of the eastern border of Acle, in an attempt to deliver a surprise attack on the currently un-mobilised armies of Uichi Ryu. Further continuos landings are expected to bring some 2 million Dysanian personnel against the northwestern lands of Uichi Ryu. This is a bid by the Dysanian military command to stall the military of Uichi Ryu and disrupt industries within the nation.

Dysanii

The last of the professional Dysanian armies, about 2 million men, has begun transportation to Metz Minor and southern Ryazania. The recruitment drive has gone well, with national and imperialist feelings running high placing over 5 million Dysanians in training or ready to be shipped to Metz Minor or southern Ryazania. However, recruitment is starting to dry up, as are men (with the large troops numbers involved in the Llanydern offensive) and the government is seriously considering introducing conscription, while in the process lowering the training time from 8 to 4 weeks.

"This is the CLS Destiny, request permission to enter your waters and land our ground forces, according to the UASS miltary provision." Captain Tiu hail the Llanydern port authorities.

"This is Navy Port One, permission granted. It's good to see you, we'll have a patrol boat escort into port. Watch out for the Gallipino big boats, they're trying to park in as well."

"Acknowledge, we'll keep an eye out for port traffic." Captain Tiu hang up the mic. " Lieutenant Lassin, slow us down to 20 knots."

"Yes Captain." The lieutenant pulled down the speed lever. "Slowing gradually to 20 knots, turbines to half power."

"Radar picking up a lot of bogies in port,...here comes that patrol boat..." said First Mate Hui. "Let's get into port before the Dassies sneak up on us..."
------

The CLS Destiny was led into a long but narrow pier, where it was tied down by port crews. Her convoy of fifteen transports followed up from behind. Upon tying down all 15 transport, the planks were drop onto the pier, and the 5 000 LA regulars and their officers filed out.

"Thank you Captain, for taking us here in one piece." High Marshal Siyu extend his hand. Captain Tiu took the handshake, "Glad to be of service, good luck to you and your boys." The Marshal nodded and walk off to talk to the Llanydern escort officer. Before they could even rest off their seasickness, the LA division marched off, heading towards trouble.

Border of Loyalist and Union

"Thanks mate," the driver replied. "Told ya Gregir, these guys aren't that bad..."
"Quit your yapping, and move onto the road! you're holding up the column!"

The troop transports hit the dirt road to Westfield, traveling as fast as they could. Upon arriving at the train station, with some shoving with the local units, their trucks and supplies were loaded onto a train along with a Union infantry regiment.
"Hey, Pai check out these Union guys, they got seven digit numbers pin to their uniforms!"
"Mind you're manner Bo! Or I'll pin a rail spike into your ass!" the drillmaster scream out.
"Uhh, sorry mate...you speak English right? Well, here's to the Union and Loyalist State!"

The train steam off across the countryside, heading towards the border of Llanydern at White Hart.

"Uniform 3-5, we have enemy movement bearing 003, request permission to engage?" Called in Wing Commander Ledger as his 6 aircraft hugged the hills of the Llandydern Frontier. "Roger Uniform 35, your are to green to engage!" Came the reply.

"Copy tower, engaging now!" he flicked the channel to his flight "this is lead, targets on the deck, T-55 and T-80s, mark targets, red flight, prepare to engage!" He flicked his master arm, the targets were approaching quickly now as the hills flashed below him. "Tally-ho Red flight, engage, engage, engage!" He half expected it to be a chicken run, but that was soon knocked from him mind when Red two, the young lad from Armford's Harrier disentegrated as a Stinger smacked into him from the convoy, he banked sharply, and headed lower, emptying his rocket pods onto the gound as missile from Red three and Four knocked out three ground targets "Splash three Red leader, disengage and return to base!" He called into his mike, banking his bird elegentally around the hillside, Uniform 35 had done well on its first taste of real war, and Ledger knew it.

Your orders are thus.  You will make your way north to the Llanydern border, and to move west from there.  Endeavor to remain undiscovered until you wish to make your presence known; Dysanii likely knows you're in Llanydern, but does not know where.  Once the main Dysanii forces have moved south or southwest, you are to link up with any Llanydern partisans that may remain, and cut the Dysanii supply lines.  You will be assisted by naval and air bombardment of Dysanii positions from Admiral ibn Azer's fleet.

If this becomes unworkable, you are to attach yourself to the nearest available Chinese Loyalist force.

Fare well,
Feng Hu, Defense committee Chairman, Gallipoli-China

The roads north were well-paved and well maintained, and thus entirely unsuited to General Antigone's purpose.  They would likely be watched, and if Dysanii had sent any forces east, they would come down this very road.  However, she needed speed, and the brush and forest on either side would not permit speed.  She looked southeast, at the destroyer that had already disembarked, and east, at the flotilla of troopships that had brought them there, both now disappearing into the distance.  The destroyer would no doubt be headed to reinforce the fleet already in Llanydern waters, she knew, the other ships were headed back to New Delfos.  The submarines were invisible.

She decided to use the roads, for now.  According to her maps, this forest developed into a plain several kilometers ahead; better to lose themselves in that than to be trapped on the road.  But for now the road would have to do.

The column marched up the road, passing houses and larger settlements occasionally.  The few Llanydern that were visible acknowledged their presence, but many of the houses seemed deserted off at the front?  The Gallipoli-Chinese didn't have time to ask.

Admiral ibn-Azer couldn't believe it; the fleet had penetrated Llanydern waters uscathed.  The Combat Air Patrols were more frequent now, waiting to intercept any fighters, spot any ships that would dare to attack the Gallipoli-Chinese fleet.

ooc: You may notice "Naval Ianuav 301st" but don't be fooled I don't have 301 Naval groups. There's a total of 1000 Ianuavs and each Ianuav is a small/large (depending on what section of Armed forces) group of people part of a different section of the Armed Forces. The 301st happens to be the Navy.

The Naval Ianuav 301st which was transporting the Blue Army Ianuavs of the 503rd and 504th came within the water spaces of Xyrael. To show a sign of peace the Ozians hoisted the Navy Blue Flag along with the Ozian Military Flag and Ozian National flag. Idovk Class submarines were surfaced instead of submerged and the Staii-7s were without Pilots. At the head of this group was Admivi Melissa dev Valoz. A woman in her early 40s and bright Maroon Eyes.

Melissa arrived in the bridge fully awake and holding her cup of coffee. In her Ozian Admivi uniform she asked the two other Admivis who were head of the Blue Armies, "Have we received word from Xyrael or UASS yet?"

Admivi Jerok Gilana shoke his head and the other Admivi Xira Vaelrov sighed, "Nothing."

Melissa sipped her coffee and put it on the table in the middle. The communications director jumped up from his station and said to Melissa, "Admivi, we've just received a message from the Xyraeli National Navy. Shall we send our telegram?"

Melissa nodded.

It comes to our attention that there are certain aggressions in the Ryazanian seas. We were sent by direct orders of the Sancta to secure our vast commerce in the area and help UASS in their operations against Dysanii. We offer two Ianuavs of the Blue Army, the 503rd and 504th. We hope these roughly 60,000 men and women of the Blue Army will help fight the Dysanii Imperialists. Also we have in our control 60 Staii-7 Fighters that will be able to help provide Air Cover and Air strikes if you so need it. Our Submarines have missiles in mass quantities that will allow us to bombard certain cities and targets if you so need it. Our AEGIS cruisers provide great Sonar, ASW warfare, and also can easily take out other Navies if you so need it. However our main mission here is to secure our commerce in the area. Especially with Xyrael. If you so refuse our help the Sancta has said she will punish the UASS by refusing the Mineral trade that Ozia has with nations such as Xyrael. Valuable resources amongst you for making batteries, powerplants, machinery, fuel, arms, etc. But our efforts are to support your cause against Dysanii not harm it. We will also call in more aide from divine Ozia if we so need it.

Northwest border of Llanydern, Early morning

"All units...disengage safety"

Ten TF-33 Firestorms zoom across the skies of the Llanydern coast in V formation. Their Union allies has been having problem with shoulder launch Stingers from the Dassies, and the LAA Firebird squadron had volunteer to take them out. This was their first combat mission...and for some it was their last.

"Speed, 500 kph...altitude 12 300 feet."
"Roger Firebird Leader, we'll follow.."
"DASSIES at our 2 o'clock!!! Infantry formation!"
"All units drop to 400 feet, engage as you see them."
"Roger Leader One! Turning in!"

The entire formation side dived down towards the coast, their air-frames rattling as they fell like a rock towards the ground. They passed over the heads of Dyssanian conscripts, knocking a couple off their feet with the blast of wind. Several of the TF-33s manage a burst of their cannons before they pulled out of the dive, shredding several dozen conscripts with their 20mm rounds.

"Leader One they know we're here!"
"All units turn for another pass, lower your speed..."
"Roger Leader One..."
"We got the sun behind us, kill the Stinger bearers..."

The entire formation made a wide turn, and headed toward the Dassies again, flying low as possible. With the sun behind them, it with confuse the heat seeking missiles and falter their accuracy.

"Cloud plume...it's a Stinger,...two!"
"Turn! Turn!"

The Firestorms banked hard in every direction, one Stinger flew by the formation. the second one, veer toward a FT-33. The missile exploded as it clipped the left wing. The wings broke free into pieces of metal and wood and the unlucky plane twirled towards towards the ground, exploding in a plume of fire. If they had been higher up, the pilot might had been able to bail out, but at 200 feet...there was no chance of escape.

"Firebird 3 hit!"
"He's dead!"
"Dassies coming up!"
"FIRE AT WILL!"

The cannons unloaded their 20mm rounds, plowing through feeble conscripts in their path. Bodies exploded and the conscripts ran for cover. Fresh corpse covered the ground.

"I think I got a Stinger!"
"Damn! We're going too fast...can hardly see them!"
"Slow yourself down to 200 kph! We have to take out the Stingers!"
"I got 80 rounds left!"
"My left cannon jammed!"
"Everyone turn around for another pass! Cut your throttle!"

Another wide turn, and the formation was in their sights again, 1500 yards off. The pilots throttle down their planes in effort to increase visibility and to lower the temperature of their engines.

"They're coming up!"
"Drop your flares! We got no sun behind us!"

Several makeshift flare tubes on the tails of the Firestorm fired off, spraying the air with bright burning magnesium strips. Several Stingers flew towards them. The pilots ignored them, and attempted to aim at the dot-size Stinger bearers. Again, cannon rounds ripped across the landscape.

"Fuck! I think one clip me!"
"You're not dead yet!"
"Firebird Four down!!!"
"They're shooting us from behind!!!"
"I'm getti.........static."
"Evade!"
"Which way??"
"Anyway!"

Two more stinger missiles hit their mark, their targets exploding into a shower of shrapnel and splinters. This left five planes remaining.

"Fuck!"
"This is Leader One! All units pull out! We're getting out of here! Pull up to 15 000 feet..."
"Han, what you doing!"
"I'm giving these Dassie bastards a taste of exploding shells"
"Han, come back! You fucking idiot!"

Han's Firestorm dropped out of formation and turns towards the Dysannians. He saw a figure standing still (obviously targeting him with a Stinger) and bought his cannons to bear.

"Die you fucking Dassy! This is for Lin!"

He managed to empty his ammo onto the Stinger bearer, before exploding into flames as another Stinger hits his right engine.

"Han? Han! Come in you fucking idiot!"
"He's gone..."
"Those fucking Dassies!"
"Everyone up into the clouds, we're going back to base! We'll leave the rest to the Union Air Force."

The remaining planes rose above the clouds, out of range from the Stingers, and headed back towards Eastbury Airbase.

The shotted down Firebird squadron pilots became the first Loyalist casualties in the war.

Ground attacks such as these made by Loyalist TF-33s continue for much of the week. Thier piston engines meant that their heat signatures differ from those of jet aircraft, making them ideal to fight against Stinger-armed conscripts. Nevertheless, losses were high with 32 Firestorms shot down over the week's operation.

OOC: The road network in Llanydern is at best patchy and at worst non-existent (the roads in towns are metaled and most of the rest are tracks farmers/industry uses), most transport is done via railway and water (both inland and salt water), the railway is split into two parts, the national and local networks, the national network is a high speed long distance network which has long straight lines across the country, the local network is a slower network which goes everywhere (all towns are linked up) which feeds into the national network (think like if Llanydern was a human body the national network is the arteries and veins while the local network is the capillaries))) so you will have ample rail transport near you and it should be able to whisk what forces you have to where you need to go reasonably quickly.

IC: minutes from the General Staff meeting day 2 of the war:
General Lebouche: The 1st are holding along the front line though they are taking casulties we estimate their effective strength to now be somewhere around 400,000 men, two of our squadrons have been reduced (the 7th and 12th ground attack) and have been amalgamated with another ground attack squadron that had taken some casualties.  The naval division is slowly being overrun however they are giving us time to get our fleet out of their bases and they have been giving better then they are taken. Some 23 towns defended by militia, air force and security troops  have been overrun, however casualties among our opponents appear to be extremely high, special mention must be made of the border troops defending facility 68, on realizing that they were about to be overrun they retreated to the ammunition store and detonated it, for those of you who have not read the briefing on it facility 68 was a major store of ordinance and the detonation of that amount of explosives in the underground position it was in caused a major explosion effect rather similar to that of a mine, the size of the crater is estimated at just under a kilometer wide.
General Estin: the 2nd and 3rd army groups have begun moving towards their jump off positions for the counter offensive it is still scheduled for 2pm today.
Colonel Demach: Border forces under Captain Estin have asked for permission to blow the dams at Yeggin, she believes that the flood will cause major problems to Dysanii forces especially to their crossing the Yegger river, It is my opinion that we should accede to her request.

Northwest Border of Llanydern, Coordinates 1667E, 208S        Day 5 noon

"Scouts back!" a private call out as a Loyalist truck approached Base A, the operational hub of the First SID.

Private:"Lieutenant! We got a huge infantry pocket coming from the northeast! we spotted some towed arties too!"
Lieutenant:"Commander! Infantry movement with arty support, I think they're try to take out Llanydern bunkers in our south!"
Commander: "How many, private?
Private: 2000 plus infantry, we counted five howitzer trucks...maybe more. We didn't get a look at their rear.
Commander: Lieutenant, who's our nearest support?
Lieutenant: The Union regiment and the Grand Marshal went off this morning to take out a conscript camp, nearest Llanydern troops are 20 kilometres east of here.
Commander: Guess this is our job, radio Eastbury for air support. Private, show me where you saw them on the map!
Private: Yes sir!
----------------------------------------
Lieutenant: We got three regiments and the trucks. Here come the other Head Commanders.
Commander Ei: We can't use the trucks, we're short on fuel. Afternoon, Commanders!
Commander Asu: What's this I hear about a conscript pocket with arties?
Commander Ei: We're gonna cut ahead of them, and set up a ambush. There's a nice hill here we can defilade from.
Commander Hin: How far?
Lieutenant: About five miles, their moving slow, we'll get about 20 minutes to set up.
Commander Asu: Then what are we waiting for? Lets get these Dassies.
Commander Ei: Drillmasters! Assemble!
----------------------------------------
Around 1500 Loyalist jogged across the lush landscape in a column, following by trucks carrying their heavy equipment (mortars and machine guns). A running drillmaster call out to his charge.

Drillmaster: Keep those legs swinging! We done better in basic, keep it up!

The three regiments made it to the hill, which overlooked abandon farmland and grazing. A road ran down the middle.

Commander Ei: Commander Asu, you and your regiment are gonna take up position below this hill...right across this axis, you see those farm ditches?
Commander Asu: We'll hole up in there, set up our MG42s in the middle ditches...
Commander Ei: What I want you do is to draw in the Dassies as they cross this field. Use your mortars for that, get them to come straight towards you. They'll most likely be coming up that road.
Commander Asu: So you're gonna set up on this hill and flank them as they come?
Commander Ei: That's the idea, we'll hide behind this hill, wait until we sight them on their enfilade, and pin them down with our MG42s. For this to work, I need you to draw their attention long enough.
Commander Asu: I'm gonna need more men...
Commander Ei: Half of Hin's regiment would go with you, half with Hin to take out those arties.
Commander Asu: Let's do this then...

Asu and his men took up positions in the first row of ditches, with the mortar crew set up in the second row. The others prepared their positions on the hill.

Lieutenant: Get some Composite B up here! Set them up right here! Half kilo charge!
Deep narrow holes were dug around the top of the hill, in which the small explosives with fuse cord were drop inside.
"Drop them in now!"
"Fire in the hole!"
The fuses cords were pulled, and the chargers ran for it. Fifteen seconds later, the charges went off, blowing out the ground and creating craters big enough to fit a car in. This was the "quick trench" technique.
"MG42s into the pits! Riflemen prone across the hilltop! Fire on my word."
"Dassies! They're coming across!"
"Everyone down!"

Everyone kept quiet on the hill, but in the second ditch below, the mortar teams were firing at the conscripts from 2 000 yards away. 60mm rounds landed around the loose and disorderly formation of conscripted Dysannians. The mortars got their attention, and they began jogging across the road towards the ditches.

Commander Asu: "Their coming! Get ready!"
Drillmaster: "Don't shoot till they're at 400 yards!"

------------------------------------------------------
The conscripts passed the axis of the hill, their AK-47s spraying as they ran. At 300 yards, the Loyalist open fire on the swarm, the MG-42 machine guns mowing down conscripts as they approach the trenches. A few seconds later, the Loyalist troops on the hill open fire as well, their guns cutting across the flank of the charging conscripts. In a matter of minutes, the swarm was reduce to nothing, with stragglers running for cover but finding none. The first wave was completely annihilated.

Commander Ei: Their vanguards coming up! Second wave!
Lieutenant: They know we're here! Fire Company and Earth Company, reinforce our left flank!
Drillmaster: Yes Sir! Fire Company, move out!

The Dysannians launched a second wave, this time they were going for the hill. They were cover by their own 60 mm mortars, which began pounding the front side of hill.

"Gin, get your crew to pre-sight those mortars, take them out!"
"They're coming for us!"
"Pick them off! Don't let them take this position!"
"Incoming!"
BSSHHH
"Everyone alright?"
"They took out a MG! Jeng is dead!"
"TAKE OUT THOSE MORTARS NOW GIN!"

The second wave was repulse back as they tried to take the hill. Anyone who reached the hillside was shower with bullets from above.

"Take them down!"
"I got one!"
"The're cutting across to our rear! Get them!"
"Incoming! RPG!"
---------------------------
Commander Ei: "Good job Gin! You guys took out their mortars."
Private: "Commander, they're setting up the 105s!"
Commander Ei: "Iron Company and Wind Company come with me! Earth Company flank their left! Hin, get your men on their left!
Lieutenant: "Move out!"

This time, it was the Loyalist that were out in the opeining. A slugging match began as the Loyalist made their way towards the Dysannian position. Commander Asu and his man moved out of the trenches to assist. Sharpshooters took out the howitzer crew from afar. In 45 minutes, the Loyalist routed the remnants of the conscripts.

"That's the last of them!"
"Hey Commander, check out these big guns!"
"Nobody touch anything, we have to take care of the wounded!"
"I need a Medic here!"

It was dusk by the time the battle was over. The Loyalist capture five intact 105mm howitzers and accompanying trucks. 2500 AK-47s and numerous RPG rockets were capture. Commander Ei and Hin took two of the 105s back to base, while Commander Asu and his men set up operations near the hill, establishing Base B. The three remaining howitzers were set up on the hill and the captured AK-47s were store in a farmhouse.

General Jacobs was sitting near his tent, enjoying fine Varkourian smokes and cherry, when a corporal dashed up to him. "Sir!" He coughed, inhaled deeply, and spluttered again, "Sir!".

"Calm down soldier." He hated these conscripts. They were green. Fearless and devoted. But green. "Take your time." The Corporal bent over in exhaustion for several seconds, then raised himself.

"I've just received word that an entire company was wasted, about northwest from here." The General put down his glass.

"Who?"

"F Company, sir." The General pondered this. He could not have anything stalling his advance, especially as he had to push forward so General Doug's Dysanii regulars could move up from the rear. There had been minor airborne attacks from the UASS, but the F-15 were finally operational and air activity from UASS forces had significantly dropped. He decided that he needed to push these commies. Push them hard.

----

Within an hour, Jacobs had assembled his officers and was discussing his plans with them.

"Gentleman, I believe it is time to push deeper in. We've had reinforcements sent up from the main force, bolstering our ranks with trained Dysanian troops and decent equipment." He glanced over the map of the border, and pointed to an area northwest. "This is where F Company we're..." He paused. "...annihilated. We have had limited control of this region, and I don't want to be bogged down in this position too long, save we be withered away by these infernal UASS types." He nodded as a plan formed in his head. "Northwest. That, my friends, is where we need to strike. That will cut off their supply lines in this area, and give us breathing space with which we can use to push our attack home." He looked at Colonel Jerry. "Jer, I want you to take your boys and clear the northwest. I'll give you the best I can muster. You'll be supported with constant aerial strikes, artillery and Challenger 1 main battle tanks." The colonel nodded. "I'm also giving you Major Duncan's and Colonel Green's men. That should give you about 90,000 personnel. 1,800 tanks. 700 F-15's. I need you to disable their supplies and airfields in this area and make it a stable divide. Can it be done?" The colonel smiled. "Hell Jacobs, I could take Llanydern with that!" The men laughed, and Colonel Jerry exited the tent.

----

It was about 6 o'clock when the first Dysanian conscripts began moving across the open fields. The termination of F Company was still fresh in their minds, and they had pledged to take this ground back, and once that was done, it could be used to funnel through countless thousands of Dysanian regulars, crack troops that could exploit a gap in the UASS's ragged defense lines. Sweet revenge was coming.

The "plains" on General Antigone's map had turned out to be a desert, where the cover was nonexistant, as were the roads.  This wasn't a problem, as they had made good speed north over the packed dry sand.  The column was far north enough to hear faint explosions from the site of the main battle at the border.  Still too far away to call for air support from the carrier, the column turned west, in order to avoid the main battle and come up on Dysanii forces from behind.

General Antigone surveyed her small force with dismay.  1500 soldiers , five hundred of them tied up in tanks and artillery.  Llanydern had been reporting encounters with as much as four hundred thousand men at one time.  Still, this was what they were trained to do.  Gallipoli-Chinese military doctrine focused on guerilla-type warfare.  The sounds of battle grew fainter as they turned away west.

By Order of the President and Prime Minister of Validus. We offer to send an expeditionary force to assist in your campaign. The forces will be placed under your Nations Combat Commanders. This decision was made to help limit confusion in the war. The Force we offer numbers 60,000 Combat Arms Personnel: 35,000 Infantry, 12,000 Armour, 3000 Artillery, 6000 Combat Engineers, and finally 4000 Special operators. We will also be sending a support group of 120,000 soldiers which brings the total number of soldiers we are willing to Send to 180,000. These numbers only include ground forces as we are not willing to put our Naval forces nor our Air forces under the command of a foreign General. The force could be ready in 5 days once requested.

Signed: War Council, New Sheridan, Validus

OOC: If you do accept I you can deploy these forces, however the reason I am placing them under the Control of the G-C is that I am not going to have access to a Computer 2 months due to Basic Training with the Communication Reserve. My troops are professional Soldiers, all of whom are trained to the absolute best they could be. They use CADPAT camo (both Arid, temperate, and the Arctic) and Canadian Weapons. . . (the Main battle tank for the Expeditionary force is the Leopard 2A6M. . . accompanied by the Sabre Medium Tank. Artillery is the M777 155-mm Howitzer and the LG 1 MARK II 105-MM HOWITZER. the IFV is the LAV-III and the Warrior IFV. Recce is done by the Coyote DFSV/RECCE vehicle. . . well ya. . .

IF you choose to take control of this Contingent then dont have them burning villages and shooting civies. . . cause they wouldnt. . . each soldier has a Gas mask easily on hand... vehicles are NBCR protected... anyway ya just reply to this if you want to take control of the contingent.

Your aid is greatly appreciated, though it will be difficult to transport these personell to the theatre of conflict without Valideen transport units.  We plan on using these units in northern Easteros, to compliment whatever force Uichi Ryu is able to commit to the fight against Dysanii.

Feng Hu, Defense Committee Chairman, Gallipoli-China

In Uichi Ryu, all was being made ready.  Thousands upon thousands of soldiers, tanks, supply vehicles, artillery, and tons of impedimenta were massed near the southeast shores, along with hundreds of transports.  These women had parted from their partners days or weeks ago, but they were fresh in their minds as they boarded the transports, endless rows and columns marching under a steel-grey sky.  The transports rocked in the wind, violently at first and then more gently as they were weighed down by masses of bodies.

The Uichi Ryans were going beyond the call of duty.  They were only bound to expel Dysanii forces from Llanydern's soil; they were destined to land in Southern Ryazania.  The Dysanii would break upon the walls of the Loyalist, Llanydern, Delfian, G-C, and Union forces in the south, and be destroyed from the north.  That at least was the plan.

A flyover of F-22s heralded the beginning of movement for the armada.  Fleets of combat ships and submarines had gone ahead to clear the area for the transports; there was some trouble with Dysanii ships, but nothing that would hamper movement or landing severely.  The ships churned the water to foam as they sped south, to rendezvous with destiny.

In the north of Uichi Ryu, however, all was quiet.  The troop concentrations of the south did not exist here; bases were few.  They would have to be; any more, and the rainforest would swallow them, eat them alive.  Plants were huge here.  All plants.  Insect-eaters became man-eaters in the north of Uichi Ryu.  A section of the forest burst into flames, heralding the arrival of Dysanii forces, but there was no real cause for worry.  The bases emptied, the women inside disappearing into the depths of the forest, leaving no remaining sign of human habitation.

It would be enough to harass the Dysanii, bog them down in what they would only know as hell, though there was beauty here.  And if they got through the forest, the garrisons at the northern cities hadn't been completely depleted by the mobilization.

Base A (Northwest of Llanydern), Coordinates 1667E, 208S        Day 6 dusk

"Commander Ei! The Marshal's back!"

Battered troops appeared across the horizons, all were on foot. Their faces were smear with dirt and dried blood. They were exhausted from two days of straight operation. Commander Ei approached a weary Lieutenant.

Commander:"Where's the Marshal?"
Lieutenant:"He's dead..."
Commander:"Dead! How?"
Lieutenant:"We took out the conscript camp, but we met up with a Dassie division on the way back, with fucking tanks and everything. Beat the shit out of us, and the Marshal try to lead them away from the rest of us...RPG took out his truck. Mine and three other regiments manage to escape through the woods, but 2nd Regiment and 4th regiment were beat the shit out of...I think the same goes for Marshal's regiment."
"Heaven..."
----------------------------------
The remaining seven Commanders of SID A assembled in the CQ tent.
Commander Tai: Five thousand men...a least. They weren't all conscripts either. Their tanks rounded us up and shot us to pieces with HEAT rounds. We had to go through the jungle area here to escape, running southeast till we hit a clearing, then swung around to get home. We lost around 2000 men, and all our mortars...
Commander Ei: Heavens...that's almost half the division...
Commander Jsu: There's more bad news...we think they're spearheading through this area...where you said Asu is guarding.
Commander Ei: 5000 against 500...you think he's dead?
Everyone was silent...the odds weren't in their favour.
Commander Tai: If the Dassies had hit through this far, they'll reach inner Llanydern in no time. We'll have to stop them.
Commander Jsu: With what? We're short of men and we have no armour or anti-tank. We'll be destroy like mince meat!
Commander Hin: Last radio report said we got J-17s running in south Llanydern and 5 SID divisions heading across Llanydern to here. We lost conduct with HQ this morning when they jammed us.
Commander Ei: Let the men rest, then we'll reorganize our priorities and goals. But we can't avoid any of this, we and the Union are the only ones holding up this flank. The Llanydern and G-C are all concentrated in the middle  and west. We can't let our lines fold...
Private: CAPTAIN!!! WE GOT PLANES OVERHEAD!!!
-----------------------------------------------------
The commanders ran out to see the commotion. Sure enough, several lights were floating up in the sky...
Commander Jsu: Fuck! Are they bombers???
Commander Hin: They're too high up!
Lieutenant: Commander! We got radio conduct, it's from the planes!
-----------------------------------------------------
"Division A, this is White Cloud Two, we're here to resupply you..."
Commander: Roger White Cloud Two, it's good to see you. The Dassies jam us, we got no line with HQ."
"That won't be a problem, we go a new satellite phone for you along with food and ammo."
Commander:"Roger White Cloud Two, good to hear some good news."
"I'm dropping off your supplies in a field 200 yards west from your position. Look for the flares..."
-----------------------------------------------------
"Alright Heng, let's drop it on them!"
The A400M Airbus dropped seven large size cargo packs, which floated down on their parachutes, hitting the ground with a thump. Inside were 38 000 ARU rations and 800 000 rounds of ammunition.  A Saletsian satellite phone was also included along with the mail bag (Many of these letters would never be read by those they were meant for).
----------------------------------------------------
Commander Ei: "HQ, this is Division A, over..."
"Who am I speaking to?"
Commander Ei: "Marshal and Commander Ei of 7th Regiment, Division A."
"this is General Bai Feng, glad you got your supplies...we're dropping off two more load tomorrow."
Commander Ei: General, you mind telling me what's going on?
"Several thousand Dassie regulars spearheaded across your area today, they're already at the Wall Line and bombarding the earwax out of the Llanydies. I figure you been left alone for size issues, but they'll be cleaning you up sooner or later.
Commander Ei: What are our orders?
"Wait...we got 5 SIDs marching towards your position, they'll arrive by morning. I also got a special unit patch up just for Division A. Make them feel at home, you're gonna need them to kill those tanks...
Commander Ei: AT-missiles?
"Better, your very own pair of  BMP-3s..."
--------------------------------------------------
Day-7:
SID Division B to F reaches Base A after five days of driving through rugged countryside.
Commander Asu of the Loyalist Army was force to retreat to the Llanydern fort of Paligard. the Dysannian spearhead was hot behind them.

Day-8: The LAA has launch an all out air-superiority operation to clear the Northwest of Dysannian F-15s and regain the skies. Air Commander Jen Jin becomes the first Loyalist pilot to engage in a dogfight in history. He score two kills on F15 Eagles, both downed by the new Beyond Visual Range PL-12 (http://"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SD-10").

10 Loyalist SIDs and an Armour Division is set to arrive in Llanydern in ten days.

"We should be within radio range of the Loyalist forces now.  Begin broadcasting."

This particular flight of J-10s was the only G-C air squadron in the air not devoted to scouting for Dysanii ships.  It had been detailed to fly cover over the Chinese Loyalist ground forces to help them hold their line, but, as they had been told before taking off into the greying sky, nobody knew what exactly the Loyalist forces would need.  In all probability they would need the shore bombarded.  So it was the primary mission of this squadron to find out what was necessary, and only then to fight.

This is what any Loyalist reciever on the ground would hear: "This is the Gallipoli-Chinese overseas naval squadron, here to assist Chinese Loyalist.  Just tell us what to do, and we'll do it."  The pilots had been given tape recorders to hold up to their radios so they wouldn't have to speak this message.  It repeated over and over again until #3 recieved a return signal.

Lieutenant: "Commander Ei, we're picking up audio on the old radio...they say they're Gallipoli!"

The Commander pick up the radio, who could it be? They could be Dysannians pretending to be Galli-Chinese, if they weren't, why not contact them on the satellite phone.

Commander: "Divison A, UASS contingent, who am I speaking to?"
Radio: "...naval squadron, here to assist Chinese Loyalist.  Just tell us..."
Commander: "It's a recording...I repeat, Division A, UASS contingent, identify yourself broadcaster..."
Radio: "This is the Gallipoli-Chinese overseas naval... this is Chengdu One of G-C naval sqaudron, over..."
Commander:"Fire Fire Burn..."
Radio:"...Burn Burn Fire..."
Commander:"Friendly ID acknowlegde. This is Commander of Ei of Division A. You mind covering us from enemy fighter-bombers? We're open and without any AA weapons."

They will be under the control of Valideen Maritime Command, however will follow directions from your Admiralty. Our ships and aircraft will only act in self defence and will not be used to engage the enemy or be put under a high level of threat from the enemy. The Fleet of ships will be known as Task Force Epsilon, Epsilon will be comprised entirely of Transport vessels, Landing Vessels and Assault Vessels. There will be a second task force made up of state of the art Dominion warships which will escort TF Epsilon. This fleet will be known as Task Force Zack. Together both Task forces will make up Task Group Alpha.

For the airborne transports, they will be known as Task Flight Omicron. Omicron will be escorted by long range Fighter Escorts, developed specifically for intercontinental escorts. This flight will be known as Task Flight Sigma. Task Flight Sigma will not land however they will stay in the Air and will be refueled through in flight refueling from the Global Carrier VSS Excalibur, which will be apart of Carrier Group Theta, operating in the Straight of Xyrael.

After a long ride, 2nd and 4th New Delfos Royal Army Infantry Division reached Llanydern's defense line. The field commander, Carlos Alberto, was quite lost, started to search the area for a command center.
5 other divisions of fuzileiros (marines) were coming right behind them with the 1st NDRA Mechas division accompanied by 2 Engineering divisions, and the Lizards (special force that served in Tagrsnet).
The Precs (1st Airborne special forces - Falcões Precursores) were stationed in the seaport waiting for special orders.

All the rest was falling behind.

Alberto spotted some Llanydian troops: "Where can i find the command center?"

Base A, Coordinates 1667E, 208S   Day 10 morning

"Make sure you carry a least five clips..."
High Marshal Ei (promoted from Commander two days ago) assesses the troops early in the morning. Today, they would be making a counterattack on the Dassian position, this time with full air support from the UASS and their own Loyalist J-17s and TF-33 Firestorms. They had been adequately supply for the last three days with ammunition, food rations, and BMP 3s from airlift. The five new SID divisions also bought in thirty pieces of 76mm field guns. A total of 28 000 infantry, 2 BMP-3s, and 33 arties will take part in the operation to smash the Dysannians reinforcements moving to relieve their conscripts.

Lieutenant: Our area is pretty much clear of planes, but air support is having problem taking out those stealth fighters…
Commander Hin: Last reconnaissance report show the Dassie regulars traveling south of our position with their rear to us…
Commander Jsu: So we smash through their  rear, take out their support and arties, and we catch them between the Llanydern position and ours?
Marshal Ei: That’s the idea…with air support, those tanks shouldn’t be a problem.
Commander Tai: They still have reserves behind that rear, we might get caught in between…
Marshal Ei: Then we got to be fast…

ooc: command my half division of Mechas in your Base. majority of APCs, some light tanks and other armored light vehicles. then few mobile AAs and Katyusha, i propose that you use the Katyusha as mobile rocket artillery. We also sent those infantry and marines, they have UAV/satellite ability, so they have logistic soldiers attached with laptops.

occ: I didn’t see your reply Delfos, but I made a quick change to add your forces.

At noon, the Loyalist and Delfian forces from Base A moved southward to take out the rear of the Dysannian spearhead. They left the half of the newly arrived Delfian forces to defend Base A.

The rear was held weakly by sparse groups of enemy regulars and artillery batteries. While the rest of the Colonel Jerry’s men were busy slugging it out with the Llayndern defenses and UASS forces in front, the Loyalists and Delfians were free to take out this rear. Nevertheless, the regulars prove to be difficult, especially when they and their long range artillery were fortified in their makeshift bunkers.

“Fire Company, move out to take that machine gun nest!”
“Heng, give me a smoke grenade!”
“I see smoke, it’s the 155s!”
“We’ll leave the Delfians to that! Let the smoke fill!”
“Medic, I need a medic!”
“Mortar rounds away!”
“It’s filled, go! Zig zag pattern, keep pressure on him!”
…..
“Fire in the hole!”
BOOM
“Secure the nest!”
“All clear! I’m redeploying this HMG.”
“Medic! I need a Medic! Jen got shot! Fuck, someone get a Medic!”
“Delfian Medic Corps here! Where’s he shot?”
“I see three holes in his chest!”
“Alright I see them, Peter! Get me some morphine!”

The airspace over the Loyalist forces were cover by G-C naval squadrons and Loyalist planes from inland, keeping the air free of Dassie planes and destroying tanks before the Loyalist troops moved in. For the spare planes that does pass the air umbrella, Delfian air defense on the ground took it out.

Firebird Two: Enemy armour coming up!
Leader One: Roger! Team B Dive!
WSHHH!!!!
Firebird Three: Bombs away!
Firebird Five: Bombs away! Pulling up!
Leader One: Good job Team B! You got three!
Firebird Three: You’re next Team A!
Firebird Two: Team A, moving in!
WSHHH!!!
Leader One: You got two Team A! They’re burning!
Firebird Four: Firebird Six down! Stingers!
Leader One: I’m on it! Bearer in sight! Fuck you Dassie!
POM POM POM POM POM
Leader One: Shredded him!
Leader Two: We’re empty on iron bombs! Let’s get home!
Leader One: Alright, we’ll leave the rest to Heran’s J-17s…

--------------------------------------
“All clear, the tanks are blown! Move out!”
“Fire Company flank their position! We’ll cover you!”
“Bei, give them some cover fire with your 42!”
“I’m on it!”
“We got a cripple Challenger tranversing in the corpse field!”
“Someone hand me a RPG!”
“He’s aiming at us! Get down!”
BOOOOOOM
“Take him out of action!”
“Take this you fucker!”
VVVVSSSSSSHHHHHHH
“Hit!”
“He’s still in action! Walter, take his side! Everyone get out!”
“Get behind the dead tanks!!!”
BOOOOMMMMMM
“Medic!!! He got Bei!”
“Pick up the 42, get behind those fucking tanks!!!”
“Dassies! Infantry in our front!”
“Fuck!”

While Dassie armour and aircraft were taken care of easily by UASS planes, it still left a sizeable force of Dassie regular infantry for the Loyalist infantry to eradicate. The further they push through the Dysannian rear, they met with increasing amount of regulars. While the Dysannians held the advantage of equipment and numbers, they were tired out from their lightning spearhead attack on Llanydern’s east flank. Now, Colonel Jerry was squeeze between the northern Delfian and Loyalist forces lead by High Marshal Ei and the UASS forces in the south. In a matter of hours, they would crumble…

“Rain One, this is Division E, requesting an air strike on a Dassie pit! We can’t clear their MG defenses and field guns!”
“Division E, this is Rain One, all our birds are busy…you got a 30 minute spot…”
“Negative Rain One, I need to clear this pit quick, or my men can’t move in to cover Battalion A.”
“…I have a squadron of Crossfires being held back by HQ, but I’ll clear them…”
“I owe you Rain One, I’ll take care of the AA!”

“Pai! You and your crew redirect fire on these coordinates!!! We need to take care of some Triple As.”
“I’m on it!…Everyone transverse to bearing 124 and raise to 31 degrees! Smoke munitions on first volley, then switch to HE! Move it!”

“We got them!”
“Go Crossfires! Woah!!!”
“Quit cheering! We need to clear that pit!”
“Sai! Tell the 76s to hold their fire! We’re moving in!”
“Lieutenant! Tanks sighted!”
“Where? I can’t fucking believe this!”
“Wait! They’re ours! It’s the First Armour Division!”
“Heaven, that’s impossible! Sai, link me to the First Armour!!!”
“About time we landed some armour!”

From the Llanydern frontlines, the Loyalist’s First Armour Division and ten SID divisions finally arrived, adding 200 modern battle tanks, 100 BMP-3s and 50 000 men to the Loyalist forces. They led the counter attack on the Dysannian spearhead, follow closely behind by local Llanydern reservists. By dusk, the First Armour division met up with Marshal Ei’s Division, having crush the spear point of Dassie’s attempts to break into Llanydern’s western defense line.

“High Marshal Ei of Battalion A, it’s good to see you.”
“Marshal Jian of First Armour Division, great to finally be in the fight. You won’t believe how much bickering I did to get Anyia to mobilize us.”
“You seem to did pretty well in your first action…”
“the Llanies managed to hold on long enough for us to arrive, the Dassies broke almost 200 km into Llanydern before they were pushed back.”
“I heard their tanks were force to drive around looking for a way through the jungles, cause they couldn’t find any roads.”
“Haha, yes. Most of them ran out of fuel before they found a decent road to travel in. We pick up a lot of these “stallers” on the way here.”
“But how you get here?”
“There were roads through the jungle, but Llanies had them blockaded and defend like their lives depend on it. I heard 60 000 reserves alone held one of the road leading north.”
“You have to give it to the locals…”

“Marshal! Air recon report! The Dysannian reserves are moving from the north! 30 000 a least!
“Radio all the Divisions! Tell them to dig in and prepare for the worst!”
“Bloody dog, we’re gonna need reinforcements! I’ll move in my armour to their flanks.”
“Lieutenant! Get Air One and Air Two, Get them to bomb them to pieces!”
“Sir! We got 50 000 Llanydern reservists coming in from the south to reinforce us!”
“Good! We’ll need it!”

The Dysannians had been attempting to reinforce Colonel Jerry’s men ever since they detected the Loyalist movement on their rear, but Delfos’ own counterattack on their middle and east had preoccupy most of their reserves. It wasn’t till well into the afternoon that they manage to patch up a unit of regulars and conscripts to assist Colonel Jerry. By the time they reach the battle line, the Delfians, Loyalists and Llanies were well entrenched to face them. During the night, numerous firefight broke up in the moonless dark. Just before dawn, the Delfian forces at Base A manage to envelope the Dysannians from behind (after taking out a division send out to take Base A during the night). By morning, the Dysannian western front fell, and a doorway was open to Dysanni Ryazania.

OOC: CL, you can RP the G-C planes that have been assigned to help you.

IC: The column had bypassed the main fighting and were now, as planned, far behind the Dysanii lines.  One supply convoy had already been captured, with only minor loss of life for the Gallipoli-Chinese.  The Dysanii hadn't been so lucky.  But this looked to be their only success; hundreds of Dysanii troops, regulars, it looked like, were streaming north.  They were still far away, but it didn't look like the mission was going to be fulfilled if they had to fight Dysanii in earnest.

With the convoy's remaining transports added to their group, the G-C forces prepared to resist this Dysanii threat.

OOC 2: These are a few Dysanii regulars that are fleeing the battle in the south, but we don't know this yet.

To the Dysanii government,

Face it. It very well may be impossible for you to win the war that the communist dogs have forced upon you. You know that once Llanydern invades Southern Ryazania - which, as I see it, will occur soon - the poor Dysanii people there will be forced to fly the flag of the UASS and embrace their "utopia" of faux equality.

Thus, the Myrorian government encourages you to sell Southern Ryazania to us for the generous payment of 250 billion Kolonialreich marks, or a number of weapons equal to that sum. Please, think of what is best for your people. They will be given the security and economic prosperity that only a capitalist nation may give them, and allowed to keep their unique culture and language, rather than become "Llanyderns" instead of "Dysanii-Myrorians". Please consider our offer.

Grand Imperial Residence,

With the western front secure, the Loyalist moved in supplies and men to defend against another attack. The Dysannian military was struggling to make up for the great loss of regulars to the UASS and it's navy was constantly being beating back by the superior G-C fleet that had just arrived.

On Day 13 of the war, the 1st MIA division arrived with several hundred combat engineers. They built a railroad line cutting through the jungle and connecting Base A and the surroundings with inner Llanydern. Supplies and men were ferry easily into the area, where trench lines and bunkers were being built to fortify the UASS position. An airstrip was built near the border, where Loyalist J-17s and UASS planes can takeoff and land, securing the skies of the area while provide air support should the ground force need it. However, Dysannian stealth fighters continue to harass the air superiority of the UASS, with 23 planes shot down by Dassie F-22s alone. Constant air-strikes by these planes continue to hamper preparations for the invasion.

"Bloody dog! Stealthies blew up a section of the rail again last night!"
"This is bullshit, they fly invisible to our radar,...get EG 2 on it, the airstrip needs its fuel resupply.."
"Fuck, did you hear? Hien's regiment got blown up by an air-strike by these wankers...200 men dead."
"Jian said we just have to saturate the air with our birds, making it difficulties for Fucker-22s to sneak into our side."
"The hell that work? They fly invisible?"
"No, he said that they're only invisible at a certain range...but if they get too close, you can see them on the radar..."
"What the fuck are two lazing around for? You got patrol duty!"

In it's commitment to the war effort, the Loyalist Republic shipped out 15 000 MG42 machine guns and 500 fresh T-64 tanks from its factories to supply Llanydern reservists in the area. Rocket launchers at base A also initiate bombardment with white phosphorous warheads to clear jungles inside Dysanii territory.

The line was crumbling. Fast. The Western forces were falling to pieces...the spearhead had failed. The military command opted for a new form of attack - defense. What was left of the initial conscript forces, some 700,000 men, and the regulars from the main invasion fort, were ordered to make a quick retreat back to the border. In this great retreat, by order of the war council, the towns occupied by Dysanii forces where totally destroyed. Civilians were, however, spared and sent in huge caravans towards the advancing UASS forces. A ploy that would ultimately slow down their advance long enough for the Dysaniian forces to assume good defense positions along the border.

Along the border to Llanydern, huge amounts of money and men were poured into the construction of a strong, stable line of defenses all along the border. Being on the border, the Dysanii army now had access to its large, fully operational airstrips in southern Ryazania, and the bulk of its considerable airforce. Troops were drawn in from Southern Ryazanian, and fresh regulars and conscripts were brought in from Dysanii, Southern Ryazania and Metz Minor (the personnel and harware from the PUR offensive now diverted to the Southern Ryazanian front). The UASS now had arrayed against them along the border powerful defense measures (trenches, bunkers, mines, bases..), 11,000,000 Dysanii personnel, 4,000,000 Southern Ryaznians, the bulk of the Dysanii airforce (several thousand fighter aircraft), entrenched artillery and tanks, and at the coast on the border the collected Dysaniian flotillas - several hundred assorted ships. They would break the UASS advance here, afterwards moving in to counter-attack, to force the out-numbered, out-equipped UASS personnel into a retreat into the war ravaged Llanydern landscape. Even in the small possibility the plan failed, the UASS were to expect a great loss of life if they pushed home thier advance.

Talks with Myroria have also been entered into, in the hope of acquiring more supplies to boost the Dysanii armies, and to atleast maintain Dyanii essence in the region, should the war turn out for the worst.

The engines started turning the sound splitting the dawn the 25 Gog heavy bombers of the 7th air bombardment squadron began to taxi to their take off positions their bellies and their wing pylons full of bombs to rain down on to their enemies.

Falcon flight flew low over the pockmarked ground that until yesterday had been the front lines of the bitter fighting between Dysanii and Llanydern forces, they passed over the lines of retreating Dysanii troops raising brief flowers of desultory anti aircraft fire but they were too low and too fast to be affected any more then the odd stray inconsequential glancing strike.  They moved quickly towards their target, a vital radar instillation part of the Dysanii early warning network.

Captain Andrew Ulmen of the 718th interceptor squadron walked slowly across to the canteen, the day promised to be fine and from what he'd heard the war was soon to be over so it looked like things were looking up.  It was then he heard the whine of the jet engines and turned just in time to see a tornado flash past and the crump of the fuel bowser going up then the canteen blew out blowing him from his feet and he saw no more.

The artillery thundered as thousands of rounds of ammunition were pumped over the border into the Dysanii positions the heavy shells of the SM-240's blowing fortifications to pieces. The sweating gunners kept up the barrage feeding shells into the hungry maws of the guns spreading destruction on their enemies.

Goosestepping down the streets of Marsailles in County Dysanii-Ryazania, the soldiers promised to Dysanii were now ordered to march toward the border, as requested. To any Earthling it might look a bit weird, what with the soldiers handing candy bars to children...while marching the march of fascists. But here it was normal. The march never had any negative connotation, and it still was the perfect demonstration of agility and precision.

Their jackboots shining, the soldiers continued to march until they were out of sight of the city, when they quickly boarded humvees and ULTRA APs. The cautioning note from Gallipoli-China caused the Dysanii-Ryazanian command to increase their forces and buffer the original 1 million soldiers to three million. The other two million, though, had slightly longer to go, so they weren't requested to march throught the cities they went through. They needed to catch up, because it was everyone's worst fear that the communist dogs would come in and swamp them. All over Southern Ryazania extra soldiers were being garrisoned just for this, in case the main defense force was pushed back. Even though they were heading off possible war, the Myrorian-Dysanii men were singing a rousing anti-communist song:

"Money, so they say, is the root of all evil today.
But if you ask for some its no surprise they've got none to give away."

Gandao, Headquarters of Loyalist Army   Day 18

"Secretary Ein, we have a large amount of Myrorians gather at the Ryaz border."

Ein Cao took the report from the Defense Intelligence aide.
"Heavens, dispatch a relay to General Gan Shin. Tell him to raise readiness to code red!"
"Yes sir..."
"Did A battery receive the 120s with the cluster munition?"
"All ten guns, I believe they been set up and ready to fire."
"Have the LAA airdrop white phosphorus rounds to them..."
------------------------------
"Tell the Krupp K5 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krupp_K5) crew to get the big gun ready!"
"Yes Commander!"

The Loyalist forces were rushing to prepare their defenses. Every hill on their sector was fortified and provided with Delfian air defense. At Base B, fifty Hind gunships were being refuel and reloaded, set to fly on the first sight of trouble. Several Air Defenders and A6M Crossfires flew recon over the border, awaiting the arrival of Myrorian troops. Loyalist fighter jets scramble to provide air support and a to maintain air superiority. They were to hold their sector and prevent the Myrorian from flanking the UASS position.

Total Strength: 150 000 Loyalist infantry, 187 MBT-200s, 108 BMP-3s, several hundred APCs, 120 76mm field guns, 11 inch rail gun, 20 T-64s, 520 aircraft.

"Commander Bia, I want every inch of that border pre-sighted by our 76s, and I want a rolling barrage on the first sight of Myrorian troops coming across the border. Remember, we're still at NAH! No shooting till they violate our border."
"No warning?"
"Unless they give one first..."

The Dysanii artillery fired back in retaliation to the Llanydern barrage. The great cannons that were the pride of Dysanii rained steel death on the Llanydern positions, the sheer numbers of heavy guns causing the land infront of the Dysanii battle lines to turn to thick and boggy - when they came, the UASS infantry would have a very difficult job negotiating the land while under constant fire. Squadrons of F-22's also delivered their payloads onto the Llanydern and UASS positions, a constant flow of planes able to pound the enemy from the large cemented airports of Ryazania.

While some border forts crumbled under fire, much of the Dysanii defense, such as low-lying bunkers, were relatively untouched. The troops in these bunkers would counter-attack the advancing UASS forces, when the time came. Extra squads of men took this time to plant more mines and traps, to disbale or destroy the UASS armour that would come with the advance.

It is even currently believed that the Dysanii-Myrorian forces actually outnumber the collected UASS forces currently arrayed against them.

Southern Ryazania didn't look at war.  The beaches that were the target of the Uichi Ryan armada looked idyllic, still, and if they day had been more depressing, they would have looked lifeless.  But this was far north of the border with Llanydern, and nobody expected such an attack.  If there was any Dysanii military here at all, it was certainly not prepared.

In fact, the landing itself was almost too easy.  There was no resistance at all...at this point.  There had been naval bombardment, but it wasn't really necessary, and it was probably why there were no Dysanii troops here at all.  They wanted to resist in the interior, out of the range of the naval guns.  Well, that wasn't going to happen.  The Dysanii had built a road along the coast line, and the Uichi Ryan army would take it south.  The ships would stay with them, and the Dysanii positions would be crushed.

Nobody knew whether the Myrorian troops had passed this way yet or not; if they had, certainly they would be encountering Myrorians strung out along the road, but they did not.  Either they had brought everything they could spare to the front, or they hadn't got there yet.  The Uichi Ryans decided to seed the area with their own troops; not enough to substantially weaken the main force, just enough to make a fighting retreat should the Myrorians not have used this road yet.  And there was still the navy.

Along the border with Northern Ryazania, the fortifications were being re-armed, re-stocked, and re-womanned in preparation for the expected attack.  Much of the army was away south, but that didn't mean that the holy soil would be given up without a fight.

"Base A, this is Division C! We're being bombard by Dassie artillery! Request permission to engage!"
What? "We were order not to bombard Dassie territory, why are they retaliating?"
"I don't know! But I got two regiments already wipe out, and our air defense is gone!"
"I'll relaying a dispatch to HQ, requesting to suspend the Non-Aggression."
"Do it quick!"
"Get some cover and wait out the storm! I'm sending in an air strike."
------------------------
"ATTENTION ALL GROUND SQUADRONS! EMERGENCY SCRAMBLE! SCRAMBLE OUT!"

"Fuck!"
"You're all fuel up and loaded! Go get them Ris!"

60 J-17 in Base B were rush on to the runway and launch. Loaded guided munition and iron bombs, they receive a emergency operation to take out the Dassie arties at all cost in their sector.

"Dragonfire on route!"
"Gemfire on route!"
"Roger ground squadrons! Your mission checkpoints are on your comp, you're to take out those arties!"
"Roger Air Two, 7 minutes ETA."
"We got air squadrons and G-C nav squadrons distracting the Fucker-22s, but watch out for SAMs."
"Dragonfire, we got you cover with RHMs!"
"Lets get them boys!"

The two ground attack squadrons jetted their way towards the enemy artillery positions bombarding UASS troops.  They had to work fast, each minute pass meant more of their troops kill and the higher the risk of running into F-22s.

"I got arties 28 km ahead!"
"SAMs detected!"
"Gemfire, firing Radiation homers!"
...
"SAMs are out!"
"We're coming up onto battery!"
...
"Bombs away!"
"Bombs away"
"Two away!"

The iron bombs fell from 8 000 feet, dispersing thier their cluster of bomblets as they near the ground. Explosion ripped through the battery of enemy artillery as the bomblets hit the ground.

"Hit! Hit!"
"They're out, move on to next battery!"

While the ground attack squadrons did their job, the air squadrons fought a losing battle with the Dassie F-22s.

"He went off the radar again!"
"Afterburners! Catch up with him!"
"MASTER LOCK! LONG RANGE AA!"
"It came from there!"
"Evading!!!"
"I got him on screen!"
"Chaffs away!"
"Pull up!!! Pull up!!!"
"FUCK! FUCK!...shhhh"
"Air One! My wingman's dead! Requesting backup!"
"Negative Hawk squadron, all nearby squadrons are engage at present."
"Fuck! I lost him again!"

The stealthy F-22s score heavy damage on Loyalist air squadrons. The only way to deal with the invisible killers was waiting for the F-22s to open their weapon's bay (which compromises their invisibility) and attempt to race with full-afterburners to the position of the brief blimp on the radar. Only by closing in with the F-22s could they effectively detect and fire at their formidable foes. Even then, at ranges of 1000 to 2000 m, the Loyalist J-17s struggle to take down their enemy with thier short range AAMs and cannons.

"Fuck! Miss!"
"How's he moving like that!"
"He's trying to tail us! Don't let him!"
"I can't get lock! He's moving too fast!"
--------------
"Attention all attack divisions! HQ has clear the NAH, we are at total war with the enemy! Engage enemy through clear corridor."
"Roger Base A, the arties stop, we know where to go."
"Llanydern and Delfian troops will support you. Hinds are available for close support."
"Battery A, we need you to bombard the corridor to clear any mines!"

The attack divisions consisted of 10 000 hand pick men order to conduct guirella warfare on the enemy positions.  The Loyalist artillery had left some jungle areas untouch for this purpose.

Post by: Mor'os on June 30, 2007, 10:55:45 PM
Conversation, bickering and debate flew back and forth across the vast, nay, cavernous hall that housed the still young Assembly of Petitioners. The body and the ruling Shinchi Party had concerned themselves from the point of their election with continuing to implement reform after reform in the spirit of the Emperor, who of course more than happily agreed to each and every petition. Today though the many assembled Petitioners, all wearing a colorful array of robes in their respective parties' colors over the increasingly popular foreign shirt and tie, were gathered to discuss not domestic but foreign policy. Mor'os was now in regular contact with the outside world, and taking a keen interest in just what was happening. The war across the ocean had grabbed particularly keen interest; word was that the nation of Myroria, embodiment of every ill that the Ar had stood for, was aiding others in waging wars against innocents. Chasmor from the head of the chamber shouted into his microphones to call for the attention of all those assembled.

"Please, that is enough! We are here to make progress, and speech like this will not do. Now, what are we to do?" From the Shinchi sea of red a voice cried out.

"This cannot stand! Mor'os is a nation of the world now, and bound not only to fight the Ar here but whatever form they may take anywhere else. So long as they live, even outside of this nation we live in danger!" Immediately the entire Shinchi membership and quite a few from other parties broke out into noisy agreement. The lonely Ar in gold made a point of remaining silent, until one risked speaking.

"This is none of our business. I don't see what we have to do traveling across entire oceans-" A wave of boos and hisses forced him back into his seat in silence. In the opinion that all of the bickering that had already ensued was enough debate on the matter, Chasmor waited for the silence to descend again before speaking.

"I think that is enough talk. All in favor of petitioning his Divinity to declare war against the nation of Dysanii and to halt the Ar influence they represent from spreading further still?" The roar that followed made it quite clear that the ayes had it. The Emperor was again quick in honoring the wishes of the Shinchi dominated Assembly. The brief but effective decree was issued:

Quote
In this 2214th Year of Unification, I by the will and grace of Heaven declare that the Empire of Mor'os pledges its aid to the people of Gallipoli-China, Llanydern, Uichi Ryu, TUMP and Chinese Loyalist against the aggression of the Empire of Dysanii and considers itself to be at war with the Empire of Dysanii until these hostilities have been halted, the people of Gallipoli-China, Llanydern, Uichi Ryu, TUMP and Chinese Loyalist's safety secured and proper reparations paid for this. Those soldiers necessary will be prepared and mobilized immediately.

All over Mor'os, selected reservists recived notices by express telegram that they were to report to their nearest town hall for transportation to their activated units to return to service as defencive forces.
At over a thousand, other regiments, the regulars had reciver other orders and was packing their gear onto whatever trucks and cargo train cars that were availiable or could be comandeered. thousands of howizers, heavy mortars, field guns, FLAKs, tanks and armoured cars were packed up along with huge ammounts of foodstuffs, both grain, flour and livestock were transported to the larger, most modernized ports along the coast. After the heavy equipment came the troop cars, most of the soldiers had been massed in livestock box-cars and were not the happiest bunch when they got out at the various ports. The ports themselves bustled of life, soldiers were everywhere, much to the joy of local girls and the detriment of their fathers and the local boys.

Grand Imperial Residence, Myroria

"Come to the party tonight, Ælar! There will be girls there!"

"No sire, really, I can't!"

"Please, call me Meneldur! I'm your brother, not your king! Well, I guess I am your king! But I am also your brother! Call me Meneldur." Meneldur trailed off about balancing a plate on your lap, but was cut short by his secretary.

"Just a moment, Ælar. What's that you say, Gretchen?"

"Your Majesty, RADAR stations in the south of County Ryazania have detected Gallipoli-Chinese ships on the shores of County Dysanii-Ryazania."

"What? They never bothered to negotiate? Hahaha. Well, if its fight they want, it's a fight they'll get. Order Admiral Yale to send some ships from Nova Novrith. And then order Marschall Maarten to send down some troops from Northern Ryazania. We'll trap them from both sides."

"Yes, sire. I will draft the telegram immediately."

Cassidy Yale dropped the paper on a dashboard in the command tower of the HAIMS Traval, one of two superaircraftcarriers in the fleet, which consisted of:

Two superaircraft carriers (HAIMS Traval and HAIMS Ivorheart, with 140 aircraft)
Twenty U-boats (U-90 through U-111 (U-107 was docked for repairs))
Seven destroyers (HAIMS Horst, Ludger, Gottfried, Kayetan, Olivier, Rochus, Vilhelmus)
Three cruisers (HAIMS Titanic, Formidable, Undefeatable)

Holding his cigarette in his mouth so tight the tobacco nearly poured out the back, he looked through the window at one end of the command tower, and caught his first glimpse of the Gallipoli-Chinese ships.

"Ensign! Send a message to the Uichi Ryan ships as follows:

'This is Admiral Cassidy Yale of the Nova Novrith fleet. You are in Myrorian waters. Withdraw your forces immediately or my ships will make you withdraw.'

If they don't reply, we'll begin the bombardment."

Horst Maarten also was clutching tobacco in his mouth, but this time it was a cigar. He was riding in an armored Mercedita convertible, radioing orders and pep talks to his men in Humvees and ULTRA APs.

"All right men! These PUR freaks think the women in their army are better than you! Are they?"

"NO SIR!" yelled the radio.

"THEN LET'S PROVE IT!"

"SIR YES SIR!"

Horst grinned and floored the gas pedal.

(OOC: Think of Maarten as a Sherman type (when it comes to his men, he's not gonna burn his own county's land. Sherman, like Maarten, was more of the uncle type to his men on his march), and Yale as a Rommel type.)

In the capital districts, Hanna was combining work with studies where she supported her fiancé with the mobilization efforts while eduring the tedious efforts of learning the Mor'osi language in both speech and writing. Right now, she was organizing some of the activated reserve regiments to pose as regulars in a parade through the capital. All in an effort to try to decive any foreign spies or observers that Mor'os was a longer away from actually joining the fray than they really were.

After that vote, everyone still recognized it. Most everyone who voted against are inactive, and even those who voted against have recognized my control over it. Besides, that was the RP Council, which doesn't exist anymore. Even Oz put Ryazania under my control, and getting it on the map virtually makes it exist.

Secondly, your second thread was never voted on, thus, it was just a proposal that was nulled after the RP Council disbanded. As far as everyone is concerned, I own Ryazania, and some old vote isn't going to change that.

"Dammit Ein, this is not our war!"

The Chancellor pounded his fist hard on the table.

Chancellor: You had no authority on suspending the Non-Aggression, you exercised against my orders.
Ein Cao: Sir, if we don't fight back, they'll bombard our troops to ashes. We can't play defensive forever.
Chancellor: I will not allow anymore needless deaths...
Ein Cao: Chancellor, there's not much choice in the matter. We must fight on.
Chancellor: No, there is a choice. I want all our troops withdraw immediately.
Ein Cao: I don't think that's possible, Chancellor.
Chancellor: ...what do you mean?...

At that instant, eight men in Army uniform rush into the room. They surrounded the Chancellor, with stun batons in hand. Ein Cao calmly handed a white folder to the Chancellor.

Ein Cao: This is a petition...it has the signatures of five District Generals, sixteen Battalion Commanders, and various prominent officers in the Defense department, including my own...We didn't want it to come to this.
Chancellor: I see...this is a coup?
Ein Cao: Yes, this is a military coup, I'm sorry Chancellor, but we can't withdraw now. Doing so will open our State to the aggression of others. We can't look weak now. I hope you can forgive us.
Chancellor: Why are you doing this? This isn't like you Ein. You always said the Army was a tool of peace, not war.
Ein Cao: I have my reasons...I'll be taking control of our military operations from here on. I won't declare martial law and I'll leave Parliament intact. Of course, we will ignore any bill to end this war. Once we crush these Dysanians and Myrorians, we will restore power to you and the people. You have my word on this...
Chancellor: You won't get away with this!
Ein Cao: Only time will tell. I have most of the military on my side, and those that refused have been place under house arrest since this morning. We are doing this for the good of the State! You must understand Chancellor, we must show the world that we are capable of protecting ourselves and defeating aggression! We must not let these foreign dogs look down on us! We will crush them, with all the might of the State and people!
Chancellor: Heaven, have you gone crazy? Have you forgotten the words of our ancestors! Peace and Harmony must be upheld over all!
Ein Cao: There can't be peace without war, a westerner once said. Please Chancellor, you must leave it to us to carry out our country's destiny... the people will trust us in this matter, I'm sure of it. Even your sister, Elis, has supported this.
Chancellor: Elis? Why will she...what is she thinking?!?
Ein Cao: I have place her as the head officer of the LAW. Here is a letter she ask me to pass to you... I'm sorry Sir. Your other family members have been place under house arrest as well...but I assure we mean them no harm. Please Chancellor, you must understand our mission...
Chancellor: Heaven's...
Ein Cao: (to a soldier) Take him back to the Residence.

Two of the soldiers took the Chancellor in both arms. "Please forgive us, Chancellor..." one of them said. They took him out the door. As of that moment, the Loyalist government was now under the control of the Military.

Seeing military events unfold around them a pace never thought possible, the Dysanian leadership were glad to be able to take a deep breath, now the line was thoroughly cemented. The war was far from over...the invasion was far from over.

The long awaited trained reserves from Dysanii were nearing their destination, thank god. With those ever so valuable 3,000,000 men, the war would be taken to shores of the members of the UASS and any who opposed the Empire. No one involved would come out unscathed. The first diverted troops from operation PUR from Metz Minor would also be landing very soon...operation 'Ravage' would be coming into fruitation. As the bulk of the Dysanii armies could now hug their near-impenetrable lines across the Llanydern border, divisions of regulars from the reserve lines began moving back towards the north, to bring the Myrorian plan of entrapment of the Gallipoli-Chinese forces between the Dysanii regulars and the fresh Myrorian armies. The Dysanian Empire would strain every resource at its disposal to bring death and destruction to its enemies.

---

The waves made resounding crashes against the bows of the heavy Dysanian frigates as they broke the waters near the mist shrouded Chinese Loyalist port. Positioned in the tried and tested arrow formation, the dozen frigates and several larger destroyers pushed forward as the solid barrier, behind them the amphibious assault craft, the large bulbous ships crammed with their special cargo of Dysanian marines - hard to come by in these times of war. The destroyers fired first, their huge cannons throwing projectiles at the sprawling port, whilst the frigates concentrated their fire on any naval units present.

---

More Dysanian ships thundered forward through the waves, however before them was open sea. The Dysanian navy had, since the beginning of the war, enjoyed alot of naval freedom, the majority of the UASS ships focused on Southern Ryazania. With this freedom, this collection of ships, an entire flotilla in fact, and the 1,000,000 troops assigned to this campaign, pressed onwards towards the distant shores of Mor'os.

"They haven't replied, sir."

Yale put out his cigarette into a glass and grinned.

"Have the ships with guns aim at the Uichi Ryan fleet, and the U-boats ready their torpedoes. And I will tell the supercarriers to prepare their aeroplanes."

"Yes, sir."

"I've recieved confirmation that the ships are ready to fire, sir."

"Thank you ensign. Please hand me the handset. Thank you."

"Attention all ships. Fire your torpedoes or guns on my mark.

3.
2.

Quick bursts yelled out in quick succession, and long lines of the disturbed water became visible.

So it begins. So it begins.

OOC: does anybody who knows what they're doing want to take control of this thrice-damned military?

IC: (I'm putting the naval war with Myroria on hold, as the mods are discussing The Empire's proposal among ourselves, and we have yet to come to a consensus.  References to ships being able to negotiate the Strait of Atl without encountering UASS ships are hereby IGNORED).

Less than a kilometer north of the Dysanii lines, the Uichi Ryan troops halted for a few moments.  They could hear the Dysanii forces, and beyond, they knew, stood their allies.  Before they surged forward again, smiles played around the lips of the soldiers.  They would see how "impenetrable" the Dysanii lines were from behind.  To the chorus of the Dysanii guns and the fainter UASS guns were now added the dulcet tones of the Uichi Ryan howitzers.  Fortifications, designed to withstand frontal assault and bombardment weakened; a few collapsed outright.

Knowing it would take a long time for the Dysanii guns to be rotated to face them, the Uichi Ryan MBTs advanced on the line without fear, while most of the infantry remained behind to guard the guns from any attack from the rear.  Most were involved in preparing entrenchments, others, after a few moments, followed the tanks.  There had been no calls from the picketts that had been placed on the road, but Dysanii troops could advance on the new position at any point.

The reservists had been drilled for about two weeks when they unexpectedly got new dress uniforms, the new uniforms had badges and insignias already sown on and when some of them asked their CO if they should strip the uniforms to put their own insignias there they were specifically ordered not to.
A week later, all of them were set for the grand parade. The parade route stretched from one end of the capitol to the other, passing in front of the palace steps where hundreds of photographers were crowded and the news camera crews' cameras were rolling.
In front of them, thousands of apparently regular troops marched by, followed by hundreds of armoured vehicles, towed artillery and dozens of tanks. Overhead, spearhead formations of jet fighters flew by, trailing smoke in the colours of the empire. The streets was lined with people throwing flower petals, coins and rice over the troops, hanging luck charms, amulets and flowers around their necks.

At the same time in coastal ports, soldiers wearing full combat gear, full packs and uniforms with the very same insignias as those taking part in the parade boarded hundreds of transport ships and commandeered cruise liners where their vehicles and heavier equipment was already stowed. Allied escort vessels were already spotted and identified over the radar and Mor'osi submarines and combat air patrols patrolled the way out to open sea where the escorts were waiting.

Further continuos landings are expected to bring some 2 million Dysanian personnel against the northwestern lands of Uichi Ryu. This is a bid by the Dysanian military command to stall the military of Uichi Ryu and disrupt industries within the nation.

(First page of this thread)

They have been dispatched from Metz Minor on receiving word of the Mor'os war declaration. So, no, you can't ignore them.

I also find it strange how Mor'os in one thread (http://forum.taijitu.org/general-roleplay/shinchi-shinsan/0/) is just progressing to black powder weapons, and in this thread they have;

Quote
thousands of howizers, heavy mortars, field guns, FLAKs, tanks and armoured cars
.

I will be ignoring your modern weaponry. :)

OOC: Ok, that dispatchment might be possible and can't be ignored but it still won't be anywhere near Mor'os for several weeks. And regarding to tech level, 1) tech doesn't have to be developed. 2) No, blackpowder weapons has been in use in Mor'os for centuries, the new weapons mentioned in that thread refers to Ozian I-19 assault rifles (similiar to AK-74s) and post ww2 equivalent of artillery that has been BOUGHT, so no, you can't ignore anything. And the reforms started 6 years ago RP-time. /OOC

Strike Fleet launch...Dysanii Armanda sighted on shore sector 102 south.

Authorization to use TRINITY....

The most modern warships of the Loyalist Navy steamed out of the hidden naval base against the side of a cliff. At the head was the four Neustrashimy Class frigates follow by numerous missile corvettes and light cruisers, a total of 16 ships. Their destinations was the large armanda that the Dysanii homeland had assemble to take Loyalist shores. Little did the enemy know, that they were facing bloodthirsty foes.

Already, the few Su-29s present in the city of Lia were launching air strikes on the Dysanii fleets with the new C-802 anti-ship missile. They manage to take amphibious ships and some strand ships attempting to break onto shore. Flight Wall Two had gave them advance warning, and the local militia have already been place on alert. If the enemy wanted to cross across the remote south, they would have to go through rugged jungles infested with Loyalist guerrillas.

The eastern extreme-range radar station on Wa was following the departure of the Imperial army in the south when it suddenly picked up multiple unidentified echos at 600km, incoming from the east headed towards somewhere along the Mor'osi coast. An alert immediately went back along the command lines and soon enough, it was confirmed that it was not any known allied or neutral ships.
Half an hour later, the Staii pilots were getting their briefing while the ground crews fueled and loaded the planes with long-range Kazoo anti-ship missiles, medium range air-to-air missiles and cannon rounds. Five minutes after the briefing, the strike fighter wing was almost all airborne and within yet another five, the 30 planes were speeding off towards their targets at high altitude. Their flight path went towards the south east before turning directly north, approaching the targets from the side. They fired their anti-ship missiles from 100km away from their targets then breaking of as the missiles accelerated to their marching speed of Mach 4. A massive spread of over a hundred anti-ship missiles was heading for the Dysanii ships, flying way to fast for CIWS to be able to take out more than maybe 35 of them before it was too late.

The Staii, operating near their maximum range did not have much staying time and headed back while guiding their missiles' last TV-guided strike-phase. Seeing the transports as more valuable targets, they guided the missiles past the escorts to strike the less armored ships with the more critical cargo. The missiles that penetrated the CIWS of the escorts struck the transports hard with several missiles impacting each ship. Fortunately for the Dysanii, this surprise attack only hit a dozen or so transports in the south part of the convoy, leaving most of the others unscathed.

Still, the second wave was already on their way and sub-command had been alerted.

Fallen on hard times

With a squealing sound the jets wheels touched the runway, the surrounding world shot by at the speed of an arrow then slowed down and came to a halt.
Captain Chiang Yong Han used the remaining forward motion to swing the plane from the runway while behind him the rest of the squadron touched down.
Looking in the rear view mirror he smiled.
Those young enthusiastic pilots he had started out with when he cam to Terrangar  had become quite proficient in the last few months. They were intelligent, enthusiastic and disciplined. A general pleasure to work with.
As his plane rolled onto the Tarmac he saw an unusual sight. Jeeps with markings of the military police stood before one of the hangars and his men, the other four instructors that were send with him stood there surrounded by Terrangan trainee pilots and men from the MP.
His aircraft was signaled by a ground crewman to move to the left, and soldiers surrounded it as soon as it had stopped.
A technician brought a ladder as Captain Han opened the cockpit.
The man came up helping him to release the straps and get out of the cramped fighter.
A high-ranking officer of the Terrangan air force stepped up with a man in a suit probably a government official.
“Captain Han” the officer said and saluted “Please step down from the aircraft”
He climbed down after the technician.
As he reached the ground and turned toward the officer the men in the suit addressed him.
“Captain Han?” he asked as if to confirm that he was talking to the right person.“ I am Kobalam, deputy of the ministry of foreign affairs. It is my sad duty to inform you that of today your government was taken over by a military coup from your own forces”
Laughter rose in Han`s throat but was suppressed the second he saw the faces of his fellow Instructors.
The look in their eyes, some of them looking down on the Tarmac others staring at the distance gave it away, as much as their hard faces that were frozen in expressions of confusion, disbelief, fear.
One of the soldiers moved towards Han and grabbed his arm.
“Take it easy Captain” the officer said and suddenly he realized that the soldier who held him had actually prevented him from falling down.
His knees felt weak and his head was spinning. His thoughts raced and like in a dream he saw himself escorted by two soldiers to a jeep and helped into a seat.
“Easy there” said the officer and nodded his head towards one of the soldiers.
The man disappeared behind the jeep and returned with a bottle. Han recognized it as one of those bottles of Terrangan rice wine whose cap could be used as a glass. Very clever idea. But that’s how those Terrangan are. Clever and pragmatic to a fault. “Would have been nice to have them as friends” Han thought, remembering how he had come to respect and like those men he trained.
“Captain” the deputy continued “I am sorry to put this to you but you are under house arrest until you have decided if you want to return to your country or if you want to stay here. It would be good if you could make this decision qickly if only for the sake of our gouvernment”
"But how," Han started. He fought with his throat that was as dry as sand. "What happened?"
"We don`t know that yet" the deputy said."But we will inform you about the news as they become available to us. If you wish to talk to your ambassador you are free to do so"

"You bet I will. Han clenched his teeth.
"If you would please follow me now" A young Sergant from the MP said to him pointing at a bus.
Han rose still shaking on the inside. Then he entered the bus ahead of his man.
They sat down on the seats and stared out the windows.
As the bus moved forward he looked outside the window. There they stood in a line up to the gate.
All the pilot trainees and ground technicians of the fledgling Terrangan air force, and as the bus passed by they raised their hands in salute.
"So that`s how fare we have come" Han tought. "We truly have fallen on hard times"

OOC: CL: Yaolin

IC:

Mor'os
Fire ripped through several vessels of the Dysanian fleet, thick black smoke rising in to the clear sky. The planes had come fast. Determined to reach their objective, the large flotilla pushed on, as the aircraft carriers present released swarms of aircraft to protect the fleet. At full speed, the ships would soon be nearing the Mor'os coast.

Llanydern
Things began to settle along the front. The reserve lines to the south had finally managed to push their batteries to the north and fire back at the encroaching PUR forces. Ships from the coast had also been instructed to harass the PUR ships and supplies, in the hope that Myrorian ships would be brought down and the supply lines to the PUR forces severly disrupted. Battalions of Dysaniian reserve troops and vehicles began slowly advancing towards the PUR positions, careful not too take too many casulties. With pressure on the land and from the sea, the PUR forces would hopefully become stranded crumble under Dysanii-Myrorian counter-attacks and bombardment.

Chinese Loyalist, Yaolin
The waters were strewn with ship parts of both Dysanii and Chinese Loyalist ships. After chaotic air fighting between Dysanii and CL planes, the first troops had landed on the shore close to the city of Yaolin. Around 12,000 well-equppied men and vehicles had established a strong LZ for further reinforcements, and had even set up some minor airfields which were populated by aircraft and crews from the fleet.

heh...ran a wiki search on flotilla, just came what i was hoping for but with modern connotation, linguistic means a diminutive of flota (frota in Portuguese), it's just a small fleet. wiki says it's a small fleet of ships from same type.
flota/frota means fleet. So flotilla can have aircraft carriers without being all aircraft carrier, so it's just a small fleet with 1 or 2 aircraft carrier, although most of the groups of ships with aircraft carriers in plural are mainly fleets.

you must be having an hard time with yourself calling hypocrite to everyone. It can't be trusted as an ultimate knowledge data for the simple fact that the information is given by other people and not exactly documented. The simple fact i can get into Gallipoli-China file and change it is enough. Even my teachers say so. Never mentioned how great wikipedia is. And even with the search i made it didn't explained what flotilla is beyond a military version. does it say it's a diminutive for flota? it even says it comes from flota but if you're ignorant about spanish or latinic languages you get to think flota and flotilla are practically the same. flotilla means small fleet, military meaning is a small group of ships normally from the same type that can be included in a fleet. I still say it's not the ultimate knowledge data bank because it can have flaws, it has flaws. And stop calling hypocrite to anyone you don't like because it makes more hypocrite yourself, plus hypocrite is such a fancy word, i normally associate people that call others hypocrite as naive, almost childish, and you don't stop making me think how childish you might be in reality. please re-frame from off topic.

OOC: PUR, do you want to direct your own bloody troops?  Please?

IC: The Dysanii defensive line, squeezed between UASS and PUR pressure, began to crumble, and UASS troops poured through gaps in the line to reinforce the Uichi Ryan position.  The fortresses that were left standing were beleagured, and though they might hold out long, their fall was assured.  The new forces from the north inflicted almost as few casualties as they took, and with the momentum of the advancing UASS forces, they would soon meet the same fate as those in the defensive line.

The fleet, meanwhile, gave as good as they got, the music of the guns drowning all thought in the perverse joy of combat.

OOC: The following two passages occur three days before the Dysanii flotilla is detected/OOC

In the Mor'osi capital, Hanna had layed out all of her own personal combat gear on the floor of the more permanent chambers she had moved to once her and Osmar's intention to marry had been announced a few weeks ago. Some hours before, at the evening meal, she had sat beside an officer of the Women's voulonteer corps that had asked her to take part in a propaganda campaign. With the situation as it was, she had naturally accepted, and here she was, thinking about what would be best to use. If she could find that Ozian buisness representative, he might be able to know how to get enough hydrogen peroxide to refuel her suit, at least enough for a propaganda photo/film shoot. Still, at the moment, it was out of fuel and just a near-immobile exoskeleton and a helmet with a pile of armor elements carved out of carnifex carapace beside it. Her chainsword did work though, and so did her other, less exotic, equipment. But why did she sit here thinking about what to choose, the propaganda makers probably already had everything they wanted her to use and act with anyway. In the end, she decided to only bring her chainsword and packed the rest back into the crate it had been brought to Taijitu in before slipping into bed beside her Osmar.

Late the following afternoon, she watched the unedited material together with the editor and the twenty or so volounteers that also participated. In the editor's view, most of it was ok though some parts was better and others was worse. Hanna felt a bit awkward, knowing how far this was to the real face of combat though she had to admit that some of the pictures and the film was more than inspiring in it's patriotism. Soon, the posters would appear in public places all over the empire and the film would be shown in every single town hall, theater and on every TV station several times over.

OOC: From here on transpires simultaneously as the Dysanii fleet is launching defencive fighters. /OOC

The second wave, the golden dragons, was approaching their target zone. Their planes was fitted mainly with long and medium range air-to air missiles, but most of them also had two Kazoo anti-ship missiles and a pair of guided 1000kg bombs. With a little luck, the radar absorbent coating on their planes combined with the low approach would keep the Dysanii from spotting them too soon and deny the dragons' adversaries the advantage of the initiative, the Mor'osi Staii was almost literally skimming the waves until they were only 50 km from the hostile fleet.
Pulling up hard at full throttle with afterburners, the 30 planes climbed almost as fast as some rockets up to 60'000ft before leveling out and starting their approach. On their radars, the Dysanii ships was presented as individual echos rather than the one huge blob seen by the extreme-range radar on Wa. They also saw the Dysanii carriers and how they launched plane after plane, still, not much more than a dozen Dysanii planes had had time to launch since the first wave of Staii struck, the evidence in the shape of several sinking or burning transport ships present below.

The Dysanii nests on the Llanydern front slew many UASS troops coming from the south, the boggy wasteland hindering lareg movements of troops and armour. Despite this, the line was clearly deteriorating; some 2,000,000 conscripts had surrendered and many more were deserting each day. This left the Dysanii regulars to hold their own, taking many UASS personnel with them as they died to the last man, with attacks bordering on suicidal.

As word leaked of the collapse of the main line, the fleet at Yaolin turned back to Dysanii as supplies dwindled and officers paniced, leaving 30,000 troops on the shore, who quickly surrendered to the CL armies. The fleet heading towards Mor'os, encountering heavy opposition, and recieving mixed orders, also broke and fled back to Metz Minor.

The military command, in defeat, remained stubborn, refusing to surrender the armies in Llanydern. They estimated that the UASS were suffering equal casulties as the Dysaniian regulars become more and more desperate, fighting tooth-and-nail for their positions. Although the line was broke, several key positions still remain within Dysanii hands, few but neigh on impregnable fortresses that speak of the once mighty imperial strength of the crumbling Dysanii empire.

occ: I see Llanydern didn't follow my instructions...

Operation Comasere

Operation Comasere, the file name for Yaolin's defense plan in the situation of a shore takeover. Thankfully, the Dysanii forces were small.

Accord to the plan, the shore guns were to be kept quiet, and allow enemy landing craft to move in. This would keep damage to Yaolin's pristine naval facilities to a minimal from enemy bombardment. However, scatter mines took out a number of Dassie ships that strewn too close to the shoreline.

Seven sailing vessels, disguised as civilians manage to make it close enough to launch their hidden cache of Brahmos cruise missiles, taking out the Dassie aircraft carrier and several cruisers.

Local militia, numbering around 135 000, surrounded the Dassie LZ, hiding inside the thick sparse jungles and around nearby hills. Sniper teams took out patrol from the LZ.

Loyalist divisions numbering 20 000 from Anyia and Gandao arrived to Yaolin by midnight. They set up a counter base 7 km from the Dysanii LZ. Dassie planes had made attempt to take out the railway network, but tracked S-300 SAMs took out them before they could destroy a section with their ordinances.

Outnumbered, Operation Comasere made quick work of the Dysanii ground forces. LAW special ops made their debut by coordinating artillery bombardment on the base's air defenses. Free from SAMs, Su-29s took a large portion of the LZ with laser guided munitions. From there, Loyalist forces enveloped the LZ and made a joint three prong attack on the LZ. Hind squadrons from Gandao supported the assault. In four hours, the LZ fell to Loyalist forces. Officers were taken prisoner and POWs were sent to Gandao for interrogation and execution.

The fleet wasn't spare either. After heavy fighting with the superior flotilla of Dassie, Strike Fleet One was order to retreat to Na Sui for repairs. The remaining of the ships were left to the Loyalist Air Arms. Jamming stations were set up on shores and J-17s made attacks on Dassie warships with C-802 ASM missiles and Radiation Homing munitions. Support ships were a top target priority. Makeshift mobile launchers from shore fired cheap Silkworm-grade missiles on mass at the flotilla at an range. They were aim with little concern to accuracy, and some of them even lacked warheads. Around ten thousand of these "flukes" were launch, many of them missed their targets or were destroy by the AEGIS systems on board Dysanii warships. Their purpose...was not to cause damage, but to waste the dwindling AEGIS ammunition of the Dysanii warships and to overload the AEGIS tracking system for more lethal C-802s mix into the mass fire. One Dysanii cruiser manage to survive fifty-six Silkworms launched at it before falling to two C-802 ASM when it ran out of rounds for it's Phalanx systems. Far away from friendly territories and with their support ships mercilessly sunk, the Dysanii flotilla fell to starvation from lack of munition and fuel, in addition to constant attacks by LAA aircraft and mass Silkworm launches. A revived Strike Fleet One mopped up the remaining ships.

General Rodes sighed as he looked over the map. Dust flew from the ceiling as another bomb went off above. The line was broken. Millions of men, both from Dysanii and Llanydern, had died, for what? The sell-out to Myroria hadn't exactly boosted morale, either.

One thing he was greatful for, however, was that the mother country was untoched by the ravanges of war. The northwest of Llanydern looked like hell-on-Earth, mud, bodies, destruction...there was no solitude here. No rules. Only war. A war that was well, and truely, lost. He rubbed his forehead, then turned to a young corporal behind him. "Richards, send out a general order; all troops are to surrender to the UASS." He picked up the orders from the military command, orders which stated the line should still be manned, and lit them with a lighter. "Fuck your orders."

---

Within hours, millions of grimy, gaunt men emerged from the defensive fortifications along the line, guns raised above their heads. However, the colours of each army were transported to Metz Minor by air - some honour had to be maintained. Soon after this, orders from the military command were sent to UASS forces, officially informing them of the surrender of the southern ryazanian armies.

Saletsian jets took notice of the surrendering enemies.

"Engage target!"

"Wait!"

"What's wrong?"

"They're not attacking...seems as if the were.."

"Surrendering?"

"Yeah!"

"And we didn't even see any action!"

"Air-base L1, this is wing commander Arturio."

"Wing-commander Arturio, this is Air-base L1, what can we do for you?"

"Dysanii's forces are surrendering..."

"Please repeat."

"Dysanii's forces are surrendering!"

"Very well then, continue your flights...we will inform General Lawin."

"Roger that!"

Minutes later a phone rang in a bunker.

"Yeah?"

"General Lawin, sir?"

"Speaking.."

"We got information that Dysanii's ground forces are surrendering."

"What?!"

"Yes sir surrendering..."

"Victory then...Okay, I want attack choppers to secure the area. I'll send tanks and all the other stuff to escort those soldiers...I want air-superiority and total security, understood?"

"Yes sir, copy that."

Two hours later, Saletsian ground forces accompanied by air-assets moved towards the border to Southern-Ryazania to disarm the surrendering soldiers.
Tanks, machine-guns, SAMs were put into position and defensive lines were drawn to avoid any bad surprises.

Then at the sight of the first surrendering soldiers, General Lawin got a megaphone:
"This is General Lawin of the Saletsian UASS forces. We have marked 4 perimeters with the first two having blue containers and the last two yellow ones: you should go to the blue containers first and unload your guns, then move to the yellow containers and leave your empty guns in there. A red containers is beside the one yellow container for every other weapon."

He waited...then went on

"I would like to have your commanding officers come here...unarmed of course."

A Loyalist Army force of 600 000 regulars spearheads though the southwest border of Dysanii Ryaz, cover by LAA aircraft that assaulted concentrated Dysanii positions. They adopted a Parthian (fall back and engage) tactic in defeating the Dysanii defenses.

Small forces of 10 000 to 30 000 men made feints into Dysanii positions simultaneously, drawing back when met with a Dysanii counterattack. This drew Dysanii forces out of the woodwork and led them southwards into the massed Loyalist rear. The Dysanii forces will find themselves drawn into a envelope of the main Loyalist force, which closed in and slaughtered the counterattack. They repeated this process, resupply from the air and aided by Loyalist Fire Divisions, guerrillas that infiltrated and gather regional intel on terrain and enemy positions several days before.

After clearing the border, the main force was divided into three sections, Section A, B, and C. Section A (300 000 CP) heads towards the port cities of west coast, with Section B (100 000? CP) in the vanguard to cover the flanks from Dysanii counterattacks. Section C (200 000? CP) moved south to shield Section A and B from inland enemy forces. New Su-34s and J-17Cs patrolled the newly gained territories to protect ground forces from air attacks. 20 Super Divisions from Llanydern were moved in to reinforce Section A and B. Combat engineers rushed to construct railroads and airfield to supply the attack forces.

occ: crap, didn't see the retreat order. Oh well...

The Loyalist main force encounter a huge number of surrendering Dysanii troops. They were stripped of their uniform and weapons. A majority of the Dysanii were sent to POW camps set up by Llanydern forces. However, a few disgruntled Loyalist commanders follow their own set of rules.

8th C Division, unknown regiment

Drillmaster: Sir, we stripped them of their weapons and uniform.

Commander: Good...line them up at the ridge, one bullet in the neck for each...

Drillmaster: Understand, Sir.

Surrendering Dysanii soldiers were loaded  on trucks and brought to a Saletsian POW camp where they were treated medically and given food rations. Afterwards they had to work rebuilding areas devastated by the war until further orders were received from Bandana.
The weapons were transported to Saletsian bunkers.

OOC: Since the war's over, I'm just going to RP G-C's troops in the area from now on.

IC: After refitting in Saletsian ports, the G-C fleet left the Easteros Sea the same way it had come.  It would rendezvous with the transports and the ground forces on the eastern shore of the continent.  The Dysanii prisoners that had been taken by those ground forces were escorted back to Dysanii positions and set free.  They then set off for the east, where they would be taken home.

Osmar looked through the reports on the latest events of the war that Ras'ash Gulnah, who had been as promised well rewarded for his paradoxically loyal treachery, and despite his outward appearance of calm and even emotional detachment he could not help but feel the slightest pangs of doubt and worry within himself. This was the first time that Mor'os's new military was being committed to real combat, and it would take a very troubling person to go through such a trial by fire without having some second thoughts and imaginings of just what might go wrong, despite the stunning recommendations on the Ozian equipment that all of his sources had dug up. But as he continued to read, it became apparent that his worries were silly and unfounded things, and that matters were perfectly secure and fine.

"They certainly seem to have crumbled fast..." Osmar commented "This is almost too good for me to accept."

"That's what happened your Divinity," replied Gulnah "The whole of it."

"What about the other soldiers bound for the battle abroad?"

"They seem to have made it in good order, and should be arriving soon enough from what we are hearing. Though..." Gulnah allowed himself a slight smile, "Rumor is that the battle is already drawing to a rather sudden close there as well."

"Really? They struck me as more stubborn than that...but not sense in arguing with good fate."

General Lawin got orders from Bandana to stay in Llanydern and improve the defensive positions, especially along the borders.

He was pledged the following reinforcements:

2 additional armies
50 additional helicopters
additional towed howitzers
additional rocket launchers
bombs with chemical and biological agents
MOABs

32 C-130 Hercules, containing 2,048 paratroopers in all flew toward the colony of Southern Ryazania. Guarding them were 64 fighter jets, including Raptors, Nighthawks, and Fighting Falcons. As they flew west toward Easteros, below them was a fleet of transport craft and aircraft carriers quickly set out to act as enormous troop transports. In the fleet was a total of 60,000 troops, the majority of which were shoved on aircraft carriers with a cot and some food. Guarding the enormous fleet were some destroyers, cruisers, and two small aircraft carriers actually used for their original purpose. After the diplomatic fiasco that was the Southern Ryazanian negotiations, it was needed that Southern Ryazania (or Greater Ryazania, as Meneldur planned it would be once things cooled down) be populated - fast. Right now all there was were some hunters and the occasional retired Dysanii soldier there. Intelligence indicated there was a fleet east of Easteros - the Myrorians would go north until the top part of it was at the bottom of their RADAR screens. The planes were high - near the top of the Hercules' service ceiling - so hopefully they could pass without incident.

Seeing the Dysanii ships below start to turn back east, the golden dragons witheld their fire but stayed in the air, just in case, until their fuel was running low enough to force them back to base.
The diesel-electric submarines of the 2nd Mor'osi wolf pack also followed the Dysanii ships at a respectful distance until they were out of range of the land based radars.

"Name please..."

On a wide street of a port city in southwest South Ryaz, Reserve Division One of Section A has set up a census booth. Posters and leaflets have been spread around the city, asking local citizens to head for the booth to apply for semi-citizenship to the Loyalist Republic. Those that came had their information taken and their pictures taken.

"Up against that wall Miss Hilar...that's right. Smile."

The digital camera flashes, and Drillmaster Shun checks the taken image on the LCD monitor of his booth. Satisfied, he press several keys to save the image on to Jessy Hilar's file.

"Thank you Miss Hilar, you may leave. We'll contact you when we process you papers. Next!"

Noon approached and Drillmaster Shun took his break. He sat beside the water cooler, watching as the long line moves sluggishly forward towards the booth. A old man was holding up the line of the fourth booth, his mouth babbling out French that the booth master struggle to understand. While a majority the locals spoke English, there was always an odd French Dysanii that hamper the progress of the booth.

Private Gila came to join at the water cooler.

"Long day ain't it Shun?"

"Long day..."

"Well, better than fighting in the jungle I suppose..."

"Where's the Commander? Haven't seen him since last night..."

"He went off to meet with the mayor, something about securing the city prisons..."

"Shh, can you believe what we're doing here Ji?"

"HQ wants it done, these people are gonna need a government...and since we're here, we're gonna be in charge."

"I think this is stupid...we should leave them to their own devices...we don't even know if they want us here."

"Right of conquest I guess...I don't give a shit about politics anyhow...but all I know is we need to provide law and order for these people until the big wigs figure it out."

In other parts of the city, Loyalist officers were conducting open forums in any large building they could find. There, they spoke and discuss with any interested locals on a person to person basis. Many of citizens were concern about their rights. Others view their anxiety about their future.

Outside, Loyalist troops patrolled the streets alongside city police personnel. A neighborhood watch program had been initiated to deter ruffians and looters. In the countryside, combat engineers were repairing roads and rail tracks damaged in the war, in attempt to revive the local economy.

Unbeknownst to the soldiers onboard the cargo planes, the large formation of aeroplanes banked to the southwest after recieving confirmation that Loyalist invasion of Southern Ryazania had begun. The 2048 soldiers landed outside Marseilles in the Loyalist claim. Shouting in a whisper, the commanding officer told his troops what was happening.

"Those commie bastards have laid claim to this city. They're forcing the populace to register. We're gonna take 'em by surprise, shut down the census booths. Hopefully the 50,000 reinforcements will arrive here in a week's time, at the most. For now, it's just the element of surprise. On my mark, we sneak in. Give any soldier the chance to surrender, and - by God, do not kill any civilians! Try not to even let them see us kill them! We need to show them we're their saviors, and they're their conquerers." The CO lifted his head up and looked around. Assigning groups of 512 to himself and his three other officers, he signaled to move in.

"Grand Marshal, Section A air control picked up a large formation of planes north of the claim. Saletsian satellite confirm that they landed in the Dysanii city of Mar Sal Lai. Here are the infrared images of the area."

"That's alot of bodies...are they planning an attack."

"We do not know their intentions, but they can't be good. We're trying to confirm if they're Dysannian or Myrorian."

"Most likely Dysannian, the Myrorians won't try something like this if they are sane. Not after how we wiped the Dysannians. Keep me up to date with any messages from Dysanii or Myroria, I don't want this situation precipitating into another war."

"Section A squadrons are on rotary patrol, we have the air saturated with our S-35s and J-17Cs. The three S-300 SAM batteries we had airlifted are providing cover right up on the north and northeast of the claim. 120km engagement radius and 120 to 200 km detection...no plane is getting through on our watch. But still, we can't be too safe. We have a few S-300s offline, ready to go online at moments notice."

"We can never be too safe when dealing with foreigners...have Section C reinforced with more infantry. Until Angel One gets online, we need more patrols on the inland."

"How you feeling these days, Chancellor?"

Secretary Ein Cao walks into the study room. The Chancellor turns from his desk and glares at the Secretary.

"I feel betray...betray by madmen who are gonna destroy this country! I been reading the memos, you know how many innocent lives have been lost to your idiotic cause! Ninety-four thousand sons of the State dead! All for what?!? You are in debt to their families you fucking bastard!"

"Please Chancellor, you must watch your temper...I am doing this for the best of everyone."

"And this Military Jurisdiction you set up...why are you tantalizing in the business of foreigners! You will do nothing but build tension and conflict. I demand you withdraw all troops! These men should be at home, not fighting a pointless cause such as yours!"

"Chancellor, you should know better...a nation at rest will decay and wither without the constant pushing of challenge and expansion. We must stay with progress..."

"Progress? You are no better than these imperial bastards that rift the world with bloodshed! Why not the progress of peace? How many more must die before you realize this?"

"Our soldiers will not die in vain...their sacrifices will be used to build a grander and stronger Loyalist State! Their deeds will shine in the glory of our nation!"

"You are mad...you will have us all destroy! Your creation of Trinity will set the destruction of this country! You will wipe away our tomorrow!"

"You speak like a old man, Chancellor. But you are still young, too young to see the possibilities of our plan. Now if you excuse me...I have work to attend to. Your Ten Million Army is coming out quite nicely...soon we will have a force superior to that of these foreigners."

The Secretary walks out the door, and two guards close the door behind him. The Chancellor was left alone in the dim room...his head red with anger and distress. He had to stop this...by every mean necessary.

Moments later, a servant boy walks into the study room, carrying a tray of food. The guards close the door as he walks in. He sets the tray on the desk; the Chancellor saw this as his chance.

"Jia...I know you for a long time. Can I trust you with something?"
"...you want me to do something? What?"
"You first have to promise me you'll keep this a secret on your life. The State depends on you on what I'm gonna  ask you to do.."
"...Of course Chancellor. My loyalty is to you and the State."
"Loyalty is only true to the leaning of your heart. You must do this for the lives of your countrymen and family."
"I understand! What is it you need?"
The Chancellor took out a envelope from under his desk and hands it to the boy.
"Take this with you, hide it! You have your one week vacation on Friday correct? Bring this letter to the Taolin Martial School in Meisa. Ask for Master Gwan Tao, give him the letter... he will know what to do."
"Okay...I will do it."
"May Heaven protect you, Jia."

The CO heard planes flying ahead (OOC: I assume the S-35 is a plane you made up, not the tank. There are such things as flying tanks, but who knows. If the plane you're referring to is silent or near silent, please allow the CO to hear an enemy soldier breaking twigs on the ground.).

"Damn. They've seen us. I should have known." The CO picked up his radio.

"Pull back. I've underestimated their forces. We can hide in these woods for weeks (I do get to choose my own nation's terrain until the terrain map is finished.). We'll wait for reinforcements, then storm the city. We've just got to hope they don't find out we're soldiers, or let us retreat."

Taking out his small GPS, he resumed talking.

"There's a large rock outcropping about 5 kilos north of here. I'll just call it Capitalist Pig Whoopass Rock. Take your soldiers there, we'll march north together. Out."

It was a rude awakening to those who lived on the west coast of Southern Ryazania. A violent thunder of Synchronized and unison Ozian Drums and Timpani played their war ritual. The Ozian Priestess dancers elegantly dancing in a trance and violent screaming. Blood of the Duzhu, an animal native in Ozia, were poured onto the priestesses as they danced in red. The Ozian pilots all bowed down to the priestesses and yelled, "Gaean Pri'avia! Gaean Duzhu Haliev! Gaean Viele!" Then the priestesses on top of the carrier slowed their trance and marked the sign of Gaea in blood on their forehead. They bowed in dedication and ran to their planes. Engineers and servicemen quickly got to work as the pilots hopped into their Staii-7s and started their engines. The Drums roared throughout the air as each plane ascended into the air.

translated from Ozian
"Lavender Group 1 lead with Arrow missiles. Fire at will, We have target of Myrorian Vessels."

"Air base shall we target Carrier or Transports?"

"Target Carrier then Target Transports"

"You think they have have this line tapped Air base?"

"Oh we want them to know! Don't worry about that. Quickly, after launching your missiles climb to maximum height so their AA can't get you."

At 600 km from their targets the 60 Staii launched their single Arrow missiles, Aiming them at the Carrier and transport vessels of the Myrorian fleet. Idovks back before launched their Anti-Vessel missiles and cruise missiles at the Myrorian Targets. Launching in Sync with the Aircraft and the AEGIS Cruisers going on active Sonar. After all the Missiles were launched the Staii-7s they climbed up to their maximum climb of 20,000m.

General Lawin heard of the Myrorian landings in Southern Ryazania.

"Sergeant, I'm giving the following orders, pass them to airbase L1 and the 1st and 2nd army!"

"Yes sir..."

General Lawin showed a map to the sergeant and other officers...
"Myrorians have landed here", he pointed at the map, "there are still civilian airports in these cities and abandoned military airbases here and here and so on. I want all military airbases neutralized in a way no more aircraft can use them and the civilian runways either destroyed or taken over....The small Myrorian force in the region should not be a problem."

"Yes sir."

"And send a message to Vice-Admiral Nikita Talon, we need a complete naval blockade of all Southern Ryazanian ports....right away...I know the fleet is not far from key positions as they had been given orders to attack anyways..."

"Anything more, sir?"

"I want all our forces to be on high alert..."

"Aye sir."

The sergeant then passed the orders to the airbases and army command centers. Hours later the first Saletsian Su-37 and MiG-35 fighters started bombing ex-Dysanii military airbases dropping MOABs on their runways leaving craters that were so big, no single aircraft could actually make use of the bases anymore..
While Saletsian fighters roamed the skies, S-300 missiles and radar stations watched closely for Myrorian aircrafts...
The Eastern Fleet got the message and started the naval blockade of Southern Ryazanian ports. Some ports were shelled to make them of no use for anyone.
Meanwhile the 1st and 2nd army crossed the Llanydern-Southern Ryazanian border for the first time being accompanied by a vast amount of light attack helicopters, mobile SAMs, tanks, and armed transport helicopters. The air-cavalry's target was to seize all other civilian airports that were  not yet in Myrorian hands and to neutralize them.
The plan was to litteraly seal Southern Ryazania off of any more military aid from Myroria.

The Western Saletsian Fleet also got orders to enforce the blockade and stop any Myrorian vessels from crossing the Atl Strait.

Meanwhile medium and short-range surface-to-surface missiles were being positioned in Llanydern.

General Lawin was making sure the Myrorians would not have more chances to land elsewhere on Easteros.

"Negative, we are to keep our forces within the jurisdiction, we will lend a hand if they request only. Notify Saletsian that we will facilitate any casualties or logistics issue."

"We also have high level pattern of unknown aircraft heading towards Mar Sal Lai and around the coast, their IFF band is messed."

"Pass all intelligence to UASS members, we'll observe for now. Keep an eye on the unknown aircraft, if they pass into our airspace, give them a warning. We'll give a 5 minutes warning before we shoot."

Midway through the conversation, Gulnah's nifty new cellphone, one of the many modern devices with which the Mor'osi people had become infatuated, rang. Muttering to himself, Gulnah fished it from his pocket and placed it to his ear.

"Woi woi, Gulnah speaking." An indeterminate electronic murmuring from the other end.

"Really? Well, that is an important turn of events. I will inform his Divinity immediately."

"What is it Gulnah?" asked Osmar, looking up from the bundle of papers which compromised the report which he had been reading.

"I spoke too soon, apologies if I misled you. It seems things are  not quite over. No official surrender from Dysanii is what  I am being told, and regardless our allies are still on the move into Southern Ryazania where they are encountering resistance."

OOC: The West Coast Southern Ryazania fleet no longer exists, Oz. Ignored.

IC:

About 300 kilometers off the coast of Easteros, one of the aircraft carriers in the fleet released all its F-22 Raptors, and another released half. In total, 90 F-22 Raptors and 30 F-16 Fighting Falcons were ordered to fly to the Saletsian capital. Their goal was to show them Myrorian firepower and hopefully knock them out of the war.

Three hours later, the airplanes arrived at the Saletsian capital (?). Still at supersonic speeds, they all released their bombs and missiles, which were:

130 AMRAAMs
130 Sidewinders
1040 GBU-39 Small Diameter Bombs

at assorted governmental buildings as fast as they could (Thus giving you the chance to give a greater number of misses than they would have in real life to prevent godmodding), then flew. Now all each plane had was one AMRAAM and one sidewinder to defend themselves.

All over Pelagis, Novrith, and Ervrith - the largest cities in Myroria, and some of the largest in the world by land area seeing as skyscrapers were frowned upon in Myroria, SAM sites including RBM-70s and Patriots were prepared for a mainland invasion or bombing. Most of the army - 353,500,000 soldiers in total - still were unordered to go anywhere. Even so, nuclear sites were put on Alert Status 3, in the case of the death of the King by an attack.

In Acle the professional army was now on full mobilization and the 4.5 million reservists had been called up and ready for war. On the western Side of Acle in the naval ports sat the Eastern and Western Battle fleets along with the Eastern and Western Assault Fleets. The fleets were being prepared for war and the Assault fleet was being loaded with 52,800 marines for the western marine core along with all necessary equipment.

In eastern Acle several Hercules C4 aircraft landed on unclaimed land just north of Northern Ryazania. They contained 300 troops from the elite Pathfinder Core and the equipment to build a runway capable of landing the larger transport aircraft with ease who would be bringing in extra equipment to turn the area into a fully functional military airport to provide refueling to planes destined for Southern Ryazania.

The Loyalist Republic has been inform by the Myrorian's ruthless attack on the Badana...we are appall by such violent and irrational action. "We follow the plane trail here, a Myrorian carrier fleet. Satellite confirms their position. We have the coordinates, should we send it to Wall One battery?"

"Too far, our missiles won't hit them. Send in Strike Fleet One, they're only 340 km away. Full air support from Coast Patrol One. Hit them before they get their F-22s up."

"Roger Air Marshal."

-------------------------
A fully loaded Strike Fleet One from Na Sui steamed at max speed towards the carrier group. While they were on the way, Seventy-two Mig-29OVTs and JF-17Cs from Coast Patrol One island flew to intercept the carrier group. As was expected, the planes from before were still being refitted on deck from their attack on Badana, leaving only a couple of in-air fighters. The first wave of JF-17s fired off their entire load of C-802 cruise missiles at the escort ships from 160 km, before turning around just as the ship defenses fired their AA missiles. The AA missiles fell short, but two thirds of the C-802 cruise missiles hit their mark. The escort warships sank into the water as their decks exploded...the carrier was now alone.

"Escorts are down, Lightning Squadron your up!"

The Mig-29s following behind throttle towards the lone carrier. they encountered the Myrorian F-16s and a ferocious dogfight erupted between the evenly matched fighters. It was then that the second wave of J-17Cs arrived with a fresh load of C-802s...

A few F-22s managed to take off before the carrier exploded as five C-802s hit the stern. They promptly fought  at close combat with the Mig-29s and JF-17s, before the Loyalist planes gave up the fight and headed home. Loitering on low fuel, the remaining F-22s and and F-16s crash landed in the ocean. A couple were suspected of crash landing on land.

21 Mig-29s (OVT and S mixed)
12 JF-17Cs

BetaBase: "Liz1, all units are right behind you, laser targets for Katyusha artillery, out."
Liz5: "There's one, here, a mob, maybe a patrol, light it for logistics."
The Lizards APCs were moving fast, the objectives were nearby and no patrols were found yet, seems all Dysanni forces were concentrated on the West as supposed.
BetaBase: "Liz1, receiving targets from logistics lightened by you, please recon for artillery support, over."
Liz1: "Affirmative, hit them as soon as possible, out."
BetaBase: "All Katyusha units, recon support on Lizards, targets are lighted, fire at will."
All M-30s stopped on the side of the road and pointed to the target. The infantry and the marines took advantage to rest a bit for a run to foxhole at Epsilon. "Fire!" The sound of several missiles shot at the same time crossed the skies, the Lizards heard the missiles going over and moments after big explosions were heard. Logistics confirmed the hit, most of the targets were down except for what they thought it was a moving infantry unit that was half decimated.
BetaBase: "Liz1, enemy infantry northwest from you, take them down, over."
Liz1: "Roger, out. You heard him, Liz Squad2, move northwest, eliminate infantry units, good luck."
The APC stopped on top of a hill, 2 Lizard snipers got out, saw the targets of what it seemed to be 15 Dysanni troops running away, they started to take them out, but as soon they saw where the snipers were they started shooting. "Get back here, don't get shot, we take them out with the APC." Probably their commanding officer died in the Katyusha hit, they started to shoot at the APC, then the Lizards shot them all with APC gun.
The Fuzileiros (Marines) were moving fast on Eastern border to assure they would get to Epsilon in time, there was no other force there, everything was clean. Other than that, the New Delfos Royal Army Infantry units encountered some patrols near Epsilon. All ground forces reached their places early due to lack of Dysanni units in the Eastern front.

This is just the beginning, before Epsilon we have the special forces doing their job and coming back.
Deaths so far: around 120 Dysanni, mostly killed by Katyusha support, 30 Delfians killed (Mostly Infantry units that met patrols, counting with 1 Lizard APC lost. Those Katyusha also blown until now light vehicles, like jeeps and light tanks.

As the Saletsian advanced, 150 000 Section C troops moved in to secure the taken territory behind. In addition, Loyalist Hind squadrons linked with Saletsian units to coordinate close support. When the Saletisan advance reached the city of Mar Sal Lai, JF-17s from Section A conducted air strikes on Myrorian positions outside the city. The Second Motorized Infantry Division made it in time to join the Saletsian assault on the city, providing support with their armor carriers and setting up a medical camp in the main train station. In several hours, the Myrorian main base at the city's airport fell and the city was clear of Myrorian resistance.

-------------------------
"Jira! I need a more alcohol here!"

At the medical camp, thousands of wounded civilian and UASS soldiers filed into the train station. The city fighting had caused much collateral damage among the population, and local hospitals struggle to cope. Section C medic unit  was order by HQ to provide treatment to local civilians, hoping to ease the strain.

"We're almost out of bandages, have Huan order them from the next airlift." Doctor Jia went through the camp's medical inventory. They were running short of everything.

"How many critical patients are we up to?" he asked his assistant, Bi Da.

"Two hundred plus, two thirds are gunshot victims, and the rest shrapnel or shell shock. Hell of a mess."

"That ain't good, we're short on beds and IV...and they keep coming...Heaven, this is a mess."

"The new medic camp should ease the load...but Chika's team is days away from arriving. HQ really needs to put more resource to the Medic Units. Just look at this..."

"Well, we just have to make best of it...it's partly our fault that they ended up like this. The least we can do is treat them."

At Base B, five newly arrived Loyalist Medical Regiments board the train to South Ryaz. They were to set up operations in the Loyalist Jurisdiction Area and other South Ryaz cities. This was an effort in light of increasing casualties for both the civilian population and UASS troops. 800 Loyalist volunteer doctors and nurses will be shipped out in the next two weeks.

OOC: LMAO at Myroria's attack. 300km off the coast? Within range of BrahMos missiles then.
300km off the coast? Do you think our Navy and entire air-force just disappeared?
and btw: CL is full of Saletsian air-defense and anti-ship missiles and radar stations...
You can either undo your attack or accept the total loss of that pathetic attack.

IC:

As incoming Myrorian vessels had been sighted on the long-range stationary radars set up in the Chinese-Loyalist State were alarmed, the Saletsian Western Navy - having vessels in Saletsian and Chinese Loyalist waters - were alarmed. The stealthy Type 212 submarines then joined with frigates, AEGIS destroyers, other destroyers and air-defense destroyers as well as air-craft carriers.
Incoming Myrorian F-16 fighters got shot down by S-300 missiles of by superior MiG-35 and SU-37 fighters.
A couple of F-22 managed to evade the S-300.(OOC: you carried too many missiles and the F-22 cannot carry all too much: either air-superiority fighter or bomber..). Though, SU-37 fighters along with hundreds of other Saletsian fighters and air defense systems pursued the intruders. Some managed to fire missiles but they did not hit any significant targets... Around 782 civilians got killed by missile strikes or falling Myrorian fighters...
Of the Myrorian fighters that dared to enter Saletsian air-space, none was able to return.

By now, the Saletsian Commandery had found out the position of the Myrorian fleet. Decision was taken...fast. 3 IRBMs were fired at their positions with enough fire-power to destroy the entire fleet.

Quote
To: All UASS nations. After enemy forces have violated our territorial sovereignty, Saletsia now calls for total mobilization and the absolute removal of all Myrorian forces from Easteros.

After the attack on Saletsia, General Lawin ordered the attack against the rather small Myrorian force in Southern Ryazania and the destruction of its last airport. All other naval ports also were destroyed.

Back in Saletsia:
All units were ordered to activate their air-defense assets.
Selected areas of the Western and Eastern shores were mined.
Meanwhile the High Command and the Government went to two separate secret bunkers.
ICBMs got activated.

Weeping season

Captain Olmok looked up from the instrument panel and stared into the pounding rain outside the windscreen. Besides him his co-pilot read down the check list with an emotionless voice like he had done so many times before. Without thinking Olmok`s hands found the switches.
"Right aileron"… "Check
"Left aileron"…"Check"
"Radar"…"Check"
The screen flickered and returned to normal.
"Okay, let us get this over with" the Captain said. "Terrangar Tower this is Relief flight
Tango Charlie six-nine-niner requesting permission for take-off"
"This is Terrangar tower, Tango Charlie six-nine-niner you are cleared for take off Runway 2
wind 34 knots, east, you got 28° and 10 feet clear sight" the Tower responded. "You get out of  the rain at 1000. Clouds are pretty low today."
"Yes" the Captain tought as he started up the engines, "the clouds are right on the ground."
With a steady hand he pushed the throttles forward and the plane began to accelerate trough the rain. The pounding noise turned into a steady rumble and mixed with the sound of the engines.
Visibility went to zero as the rain washed over the windscreens.
Captain Olmok was glad that he came out top of his class at the Instrument flight course.
He couldn`t see a damn thing.
He judged the take off point by airspeed and runway length.
He pulled up the wheel and the nose of the plain rose up in the air. As soon as the rest of the aircraft had followed his co-pilot put the gear up and he brought the plane in a corkscrew ascent.
They had to reach maximum altitude over Terrangan territory.
The Plan was that the aircraft should fly at maximum ceiling. this would make it widely visible and give advanced warning time to any ground force. Hopefully they would check first and refrain from firing. Also flying at maximum height put the aircraft out of range for the MANPADS and most AA-weapons.They were however still vulnerable to vehicle mounted Radar guided missiles. And landing in their target area would make them vulnerable for the MANPADS again. So the aircraft was equipped with an automatic Chaff/ Flare launcher.
Also all  passengers, even the medical staff had gone trough emergency dismount training and had to be parachute qualified. As another safety measure he had to contact the air controller of each territory and send a civilian signal on all open frequencys.
Still the chance was high that they could be shot down. How crazy that was he tought. They came to help and yet they might get killed for it.
Suddenly the wet darkness outside disappeared and gave wy to the sun.The plane had broken trough the cloud cover and over them was blue sky dotted by white clouds. As the aircraft continued to climb Captain Olmok set the course to their first waypoint.
"You know what they call this time of the year?" the Captain asked his Co-Pilot.
"Weeping season I believe. Because the rain is nothing but the skys weeping" he answered, reciting part from an old Terranagn song.
"Yes" the Captain said. "Let`s just hope it`s not weeping for us"

To: ACLE

We are informed of your military movements. We advise you not to engage in hostility with UASS forces. We want peace: a stable one and not one lying in the hands of a ruthless imperialist Nation.

The gigantic fleet turn and began the journey along the Xyrellian gap. There job was to put down their force on the most North-Westerly sea border of South Ryazania and the troops would take on peacekeeping duty's and prepare an airport for further troops to arrive along with government inspectors.

We have a fleet ferrying troops into South Ryazania for peace keeping duty's. They will not fire unless fired upon, they will be making sure that the citizens of South Ryazania get full humanitarian aid where needed and to ensure that they are not maltreated. If they are allowed to land without hindrance you will have there full co-operation and no problems, but keep in mind if they are fired upon they will retaliate with their full force.

Thank you
Samuel Frint - Prime Speaker of Acle

Just above Northern Ryazania the first runway was complete and a swarm of heavy lift aircraft have began landing with further building materials and another two runways were already underway along with service building ready to house and support the tankers that are to be based there.

OOC: The F-22 can carry these air-to-ground loadouts, my choices are starred:

*2× AIM-120 AMRAAM and
*2× AIM-9 Sidewinder and one of the following:
2× 1,000 lb JDAM or
2× Wind Corrected Munitions Dispensers (WCMDs) or
*8× 250 lb GBU-39 Small Diameter Bombs

Secondly, the F-22 can reach three thousand feet higher than the MiG-35. Myrorian planes on the attack usually cruise about 500 feet below their service ceiling, or, in this case, 64,500 feet. A MiG's service ceiling is 62,000 feet. Your planes would not be able to reach them. SU-37s are even worse, with a service ceiling of 59,100 feet. Your planes would be able to pick off my F-16s, but that's it. In addition, you did not define the surface-to-air missiles you used as we flew home. In addition, you cannot RP my losses beyond my consent. Simply saying "They were all shot down" is godmodding. Saying a vague amount that would be shot down is fine, but what you're stating is complete godmodding, akin to me saying "The missiles hit the Presidential Palace, killing the entire government".

On board the destroyers and cruisers in the fleet, Phalanxes were trained to shoot down IRBMs launched by the Saletsian government. All there was to do now was wait for them to come into range.

OOC: Please, come on, give me a chance to RP my own battle. You can't just say "All the escorts were destroyed by our badly funded/disrepaired/should-be-out-of-date planes.

Even so, nuclear sites were put on Alert Status 3, in the case of the death of the King by an attack.

ooc: I was referring to the fleet that dropped off troops and I had no clear information that they did move. Even then I'm sure they're in range, if you'd like to tell me where that fleet is and I can edit it for your vagueness and I'm most obliged to

occ: Saletsia, you have to state what version, there's a huge difference between a S-300P and S-300V. In any case, the S-300 system is a amazing piece of equipment that can easily deal with modern fighter aircraft. S-300V can reach altitudes of 100 000 ft and the missile comes at you at Mach 4. With the F-22s, I don't know, since Myroria fail to mention if they had full weapons load-out or bay load-out only. If he had full, those external hard-points would had compromise his F-22s' stealth.

After Saletsia saying that the forces are welcome the fleet moved up to just a few miles off the north-western coast before landing its troops and cargo onto the beaches and they began moving into position that would secure a small area in which they could repair the airport that was their for use in resupply.

North of Northern Ryasania the airbase was still under construction but with three runways operating and the important facilities set the the KC-10 tankers had already began landing and were preparing the support a massive airlift operation.

OOC: This is a good diagram i have of the F-22's payload and it shows that the load that they were carrying would have made them unstealthy and some of the Air to Ground munitions would have had to have been external. http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/aircraft/images/f-22-weapons-2006.gif
But i think we should forget about this now as the F-22 could not have been there as they are too big and heavy to launch and be recovered off a carrier.

The aircraft had swung in a wide circle over the ocean into international waters.
Now it was moving straight towards the coastline that became visible on the Horizon

"10 minutes to the border" the Co-pilot said.

"Let`s punch in these codes the CL gave us and pray they work" Captain Olmok answered.

The radio started to transmit as the Captain switched to transfer.

0011---90001934--000034230000----023720001100100100101011010--IFFTALLY787--00030202002038883--3032

"And shut off the countermeasures. We don`t want to great them with fireworks because they light up their radars"

"Loyalist Air traffic control" Captain Olmok called into the micro "This is Terrangan relief flight inbound to your airspace. Requesting permission to enter and further instructions.

Then there was only the engine noise while the crew waited for response.

That and the tension that could be felt aboard the entire plane.

Ambassador Yuppanci was standing at the window in his office looking out into the streets.

The Terrangan embassy in the Loyalist city of Anyia had started out in better times. It had been weeks since his government had called home all personal because they feared for their safety under the new rulers.
Only he had stayed behind to assure that the lines were kept open.
Open they were, but also silent. The embassy was still supplied with water and power and the phone lines surely worked. The Minister of external affairs called in nearly every day to ask for his health and the situation.
He himself had tried for weeks to reach anybody in the new government to find out more, but also the lines were free nobody answered.

The few people that were still inside the building showed signs of pressure, getting more tense as the days idled by without any changes.

"No news are good news" Yuppanci tought. "Whoever said that never was in my position" he added.

He walked over to his desk and picked up another cup of coffee, returning to the window to watch.

There hardly was anything else to do.

The damage to the airstrips on the airbase in north-east Southern Ryasania was small and it did not take the repair teams long to fix the three runways. As soon as the airstrips were finished supplies began landing from Acle with the planes refueling from planes courtesy of the airfield north of Northern Ryasania. The air field was running at full capacity with 1,000 troops an hour landing along with all equipment and extra humanitarian supplies. Once the Airfield was completed and running the repair team split up and moved on to start repairing two more airfields that would provide defensive air power for the area. There was little resistance to the troops once they started handing out the aid that was coming in.
Samuel Reynold's personal Learjet touched down at the airfield and taxied to a small parking zone that was not being used. He was there to oversee the building of the defences of the area and to increase the morale of the forces in the area. Looking around the airfield he could see the size of the operation taking place and he had never before realized how effective Acle airlift forces could be in such a situation. He had little to do except wait to see if any other countries wanted to inspect what they were doing and them just to escort them around.

"Did you hear Dazhī?" prattled Auong as the two of them, amongst a throng of other soldiers, prepared to disembark at last in the region of Southern Ryazania under friendly control.

"No, I haven't. I'm not sure what you're even talking abo-" Dazhī was briefly cut short as a faceless soldier bumped into him and then was lost in the crowd again. "What you are talking about," he continued after having recovered. "I've heard lots of things, and I certainly don't have anyway of knowing which one of them if any is what you are discussing right now. It is quite unfair if you ask me."

Auong laughed at this before going on with what he was saying. "You're always like this, no fun at all. But anyway, they say we're late for the action."

"What?" Auong had caught Dazhī's attention now, such that this time he didn't notice or mind when another bumped into him with quite a bit of force.

"Yeah, that's what I'm hearing. Dysanii just went and suddenly surrendered... now it's all on to the negotiations. Dazhī was silent for a moment, and then shrugged.

"Well, at least we're here. I don't think I'll ever be as happy again as I will be when I get of this boat...man was not meant to live on the ocean like some kind of whale." An unpleasant expression came to his face as he dredged up memories of prolonged and miserable sea sickness. Born and raised in Pulno, he had never seen the ocean until he was called up for duty, never mind having sailed on it.

"I don't know, it wasn't that bad," replied the Gamnah native Auong with a patronizing little smile.

"Shut up," said Dazhī, rolling his eyes. "The only thing worse than that was you..." this only made Auong laugh once again. Before Dazhī could come up with another retort, the conversation was cut short as the officers at last arrived on the scene and began to holler all sorts of orders relevant to getting them off the ships in a neat and orderly fashion.

In a attempt to revamp the local government and civil services, the Loyalist planners initiated the Temporary Civilian Compromise, allowing the surviving city governments in the Military Control Jurisdiction to have full control of its municipal legislation and anonymity. City bylaws and services from before the war will be legally in place and manage by the elected city councils. As a condition to the Civilian Compromise, city-level elections are to be held next month to re-elect representatives to the municipal governments. Some federal level law will still be govern and enforce by the Loyalist garrison, but a meeting will be held between future representatives and Loyalist higher-ups to discuss the political future of all the cities and towns inside Loyalist Military Jurisdiction. 20 billion dollars have also been provided by the Loyalist government to subsidize the revival and operation of government services and facilities such as hospitals and schools.

100 000 Loyalist troops will be transfer in the next five weeks to the MCJ to further secure the Loyalist claim in South Ryaz. 1 210 000 tons of food supplies are also being stockpile in case of food shortages in South Ryaz cause by war disruption in the local agriculture.

A week later the garrison in Southern Ryasania Had risen to 220,000 troops which is when Samuel Reynolds had a decision to make. "Well" he thought "All the other country seem to be doing their action mainly to the south so we can support some of the north. I think we should move our area of control along to the longitudinal line of 1684 and south as far as the body of water. He walked out of his office to give the orders to lead to this movement.

The troops of the eastern army arranged them selves and began to move east and would slowly drop troops off along the road so that the entire area would be covered and relief could get everywhere. Marine from the western army set out to the west to take the islands that were bypassed when they did the landings. In light of the recent re-establish peace in Easteros, the Loyalist Republic after an emergency Parliament passing, will be withdrawing all troops from South Ryaz and leaving a 100 000 men garrison in Base B of Llanydern. The consensus data collected by LA personnel will be transfer to the autonomous government of South Ryaz, if they so need it.

OOC: Rather than start a whole new thread for one post, may as well conclude things here...

IC: "Welcome back Minister Tadom," said Osmar, in high spirits. "I've already received the news of what has transpired over the phone, your call made it through."

"Thank you for the welcome your Divinity," said Tadom with a stiff bow. "I am honored by your Divinity's welcome."

"So," said Osmar, "are you tired from the journey? I can discuss this later if necessary."

"No you Divinity, I slept on the flight back." said Tadom with an odd little smile. "Though, if your Divinity has already heard of everything that there is to here, then I am not sure what more can be said."

"Confirmation mostly, and advice on how to proceed. Ah, have you talked with Chasmor yet?"

"No your Divinity, I shall attend to that after your Divinity."

Osmar nodded. "Good. So, if I am correct, Dysanii has made a quest that we act as a protector to them?"

"That is correct. The way I see it, this include their colonies, such as Metz Minor. I think a followup with the UASS on the matter is in order, as the territory is mentioned in the treaty. Supervision and demilitarization and such. Considering the development with Dysanii, I was not entirely happy but decided not to push my luck after things had gone so well against Myroria."

"Good. Metz Minor... it is a colony, not fully incorporated?"

"No your Divinity."

"Well, that is no good. Either they should be fully incorporated and seen to under Dysanii proper or ourselves under our new role as guardian. I think we will also have to deal with that matter as well. But first it probably would be good to administer some formal protectorate governance or such. But this certainly looks good for our global military power in the future. We certainly wouldn't be able to adequately protect anything if were not allowed some military presence," Osmar concluded with a shrewd smile of his own.
