Title: The Downfall of the Kingdom
Post by: Saletsia on February 23, 2007, 09:58:01 PM
7:35pm in the capital:

The commander of the palace guards alarm the king: "Highness, you have to leave the country!"

The Supremo looks at the general from his desk: "Why?"

"Rebel forces and terrorists...everywhere!"

"Send in the army!"

"We can't. There is no more army!"

"What?! How can an army of hundreds of thousands of soldiers disappear?"

"Biological and chemical agents, I suppose. We only have about 6000 soldiers left and 450 palace guards."

"My family?"

"Is ready to leave and waiting for you, your Highness."

"Never have I expected this to end this way." The Supremo gets his personal belongings along with some servants and board a private is brought to a military air-base with his family. He then boards a government airplane guarded by 20 SU-37s. The military base and the Palace were the only facilities left in government control.

By 9:27pm, the Royal family has left Islas Filipinas along with its staff and officials. A small number of soldiers is also flown by military transport planes.

Meanwhile the enemy has taken total control of the country, making it sink into anarchy and chaos with districts ruled by different warlords... Only a small area around the Palace, the ancient city with walls around it, could remain under the control of people and soldiers loyal to the Monarchy.

*Kalxon sounds blaring in the background*
ALL PERSONNEL REPORT TO YOUR STATIONS.  THIS IS NOT A DRILL.  I REPEAT, ALL PERSONNELL REPORT TO YOUR STATIONS.

No one at the Islas Filipinas Base (OOC:  Offshore Bustian bases are named after host country) seem to really know what was happening or what was going on.  Just they were expecting the Supremo and his family along with their personal gaurd.  The base was located on the shore, at least hundreds of miles away from the nearest population center.  There were rumors of rebellion and chaos deeper in Islas Filipinas.  Guess the populace would take their oppression no longer.

Sailors were rushing preparing a small escort fleet for departure from the base for the Supremo and his family.  Airborne and Marines were arming themselves for any possible attack and the perimeter gaurds were tripled.  Blackhawks and Apaches scouted the area, keeping watch on the surrounding area.

"Sir, Islas Filipinas has collasped into a civil war."

"Took those rebels long enough," replied Chairperson Bustos as he looked upon his favorite view of the water from his office which took the entire top floor of the sky reaching scraper.  "Has Supremo accepted our offer of asylum?"

"It would appear so.  He and his family are enroute to the Islas Filipinas Base as we speak."

"And the Colonel knows his orders?"

"Yes, sir.  It's been confirmed."

The Boeing 747 of the Royal family along with its air-force escorts and 6 C.130s soon landed one after the other in the Bustian military base.
They had with them supplies and the treasures of the kingdom. Most though was in a foreign bank account.
The Supremo and his family stepped out of their plane; surrounded by heavily guarded palace guards and high officials.
They were awaiting the senior Bustian officer to speak to.

As of the moment only the Ginto claim was still under the firm grip of the Filipino military. Most military hardware from the motherland though has been taken over by well-prepared terrorist organizations.

The Republic of Jelsi sent a message to the leaders of the nation of Supremo, offering their military services to help them restore order to their nation.

Out of the midst of the Bustian military personnel bustling about, the Colonel, dressed in combat gear along with two armed escorts, greeted Supremo.  "Welcome to the Islas Filipinas Base.  *the Colonel extends his hand*  I am Colonel Trice, commander of the base.  Sorry we have to meet under these unfortunate circumstances.  My men will begin unloading your gear and transporting it all aboard the escort fleet.  For the time being we would like you and your family to get on the destroyer.  It is ready to depart at a moments notice, in case the rebels attempt to come after you."  Not that they will.

One of the top stories on the Italian News was the fall of the Supremo Government.  Prime Minister DiNapoli immediately called a meeting with her Cabinet to discuss the issue.

"Alright, we can't let these rebels harm these people.  We need to send some of our guys over there." said the Prime Minister.  The other cabinet members agreed, and at the end of the meeting, it was decided that they would send in special forces units to analyze the situation on the ground, collect information for possible air targets and bring peace to certain areas of the nation.

The 1st Marines Expeditionary Force was called up along with the 1st and 2nd Force Recon Companies.  The Special forces unit were to be the first on the ground.  Within minutes after the meeting was over, the two Force Recon Companies gathered their weapons, boarded the C-5 air craft and were on their way to what was left of supremo.

"I don't know why any government would be so idiotic, so numb-minded as to be oblivious that their entire population and most of their military had fallen under the jurisdiction of some anti-government rebels." said Peté Tar-Ilium during a meeting with his "associates".

"Well, you've got to keep in mind, sire, that this is the same government that allowed the Bustians a base on their land. And we all know what happens once those corporatocrats get a base on your land..." replied the Imperial Scribe.

"You've got a point there." Peté said with a chuckle.

"I suppose the best thing to do would to hold back our forces and let them fight their own revolution. Who knows, maybe the Bustians will give us a plot of land if we give lavish praise for their 'work in bringing peace to Supremo' and whatnot."

"Great idea, sir."

The 1st Marine Expeditionary Force's departure had been canceled, leaving the Marines Special Forces Group (Force Recon) to gather intelligence, and analyze the current situation.

The large door dropped down, allowing the night sky to peak into the C-5.  The 200 members of Force Recon were fully equipped, with their weapons attached properly, and their parachutes all folded correctly and ready to be used.  Two other C-5 aircraft followed closely behind with the Humvees that would be dropped.  Before long there would be numerous helicopters transported to the area as well to provide support as well.  One after the other, the Marines jumped out of the airplane and parachuted to a desolate area near one of the larger cities of Supremo.  Their current mission was to setup a headquarters that was far away from any of the fighting.

Once on the ground, the two Companies would setup a perimeter as the humvees landed as well.  Once on the ground, the base camp would be setup and the Marines would await their orders.

A platoon of the 1st Recon Company was ordered to infiltrate the city close to their location.  Setup in the Humvees, the Marines traveled west towards the city, and drove into an abandoned section of the city.  One man was left inside of each Humvee, and drove the vehicles back to headquarters.  The platoon would be stationed in the abandoned section for a large period of time, with occasional food drops sent to them at night.  Setting up in an abandoned building, the men found the headquarters of a local Warlord who was attempting to bring a dominance over the location.  The men continued to watch the rebels, making sure to keep themselves hidden, after all that's what Force Recon was best at.

Supremo and his family borded the destroyer, the flagship of the small escort fleet.  Other members of the Islas military were either helping out in loading the escort fleet with their possessions or boarding the other ships.

Faint sounds of explosions could be heard coming from the horizion since the bustling of soldiers had been reduced and the alarm had ceased.  Everyone was in their position, awaiting further orders, keeping their gaurd up.  Aerial scouts reported what appeared to be a small disorganized convoy coming towards the base.  They were given a warning to turn back but failed to do so.  Two Apaches were called in and fired warning shots.  They showed no signs of slowing down or turning around, forcing the Apaches to deal lethal force to the front two vehicles, creating smoking, burning roadblocks.  Only then did the convoy turn around and return back from whence they came.  Other than that, there were no incidents or further intrusions.

After escorting Supremo and his family aboard, Colonel Trice returned to CP (Command Post) One to review the progress of the escort's fleet readiness.  He called in Commander Nala to personally hand her specific written orders for ship formation of her fleet.  Commander Nala reviewed the deployment and offered a better setup.  The Colonel denied her alterations and noted her objections to the record.

"With all due respect, Colonel, are you sure about this?" asked the commander.

"Yes, Commander.  I did not even make the ship formation.  I am merely relaying orders from JMCC."

Normally a ground commander could not order a fleet commander on the specifics of the fleet's ship formation however, Colonel Trice was given special authority in this crisis from the JMCC.  Commander Nala knew this too and with her objections noted and alterations denied, she accepted the written orders.

"Good luck, Commander," Colonel Trice said.

"You know me better than that, Colonel," replied Commader Nala with a smile.  "I dont believe in luck."

If you say so.

As the morning sun begun to rise, the final preparations for departure were occuring aboard transport ships carrying the treasures of the former Islas Filipinas.

"How much longer till the transports are underway?" asked Commander Nala.

"They should be leaving port in about a hour, Commnader," replied her first officer.

"Very good.  Keep me posted."

"Am I speaking to Colonel Trice?"

"This is he."

"The evening sun shines brightly in the water."

"Not as bright as the stars in the sky."

"How have you been Colonel?" the voice on the other end asked causally.

"Good.  Did you get the last supply drop okay?  We never received confirmation."

"Yes, we got it, alright.  We've had some unexpected developments which have kept me rather busy.  I am calling to get an update on when we can expect reinforcements."

"We'll be moving out by midday tomorrow.  Will your people be aware of our arrangement by then?"

"We have a firing solution, Captain."

"Fire sequence Omega," replied the Captain of the ASS Silent Death.

"Aye, Fire sequence Omega, ma'am," replied her first officer, a lieutenant as he relayed orders to the firing room.

The Captain paused, taking a moment to think.  Clear line of fire from this angle.  Twenty-two missile salvo.  Escape route Alpha heading ready.  Ok.

"Fire in Omega sequence," ordered the Captain.

"Aye, firing in Omega sequence."

Barely audible to the crew, one by one, twenty-two tomahawk missiles fired from their VLTs.

First of twenty-two tomahawk missiles fired.

"HOW MANY INCOMINGS?!" Commander Nala balked when first hearing the number.

"Twelve confirmed missiles inbound, ma'am," replied the ensign over looking the radar.  "Possibly more, they keep falling in and out of radar detection."

"Make sure all anti-missile weapons are online!"

"Commander!  I've projected their course.  They have a clear course, straight for the destroyer..."

"Supremo, shit!" interuptted the commander.  Twelve, possibly more, separate missiles for one ship.  Somebody wants Supremo dead.  No way we going to stop them all.  "Inform the captain to prepare for impact and to secure Supremo and his family to the safest part of his ship, away from the incomings now."  Commander Nala slammed her fist on a nearby table.  Someone is going to answer for making me choose this ship formation!!

A new poster, from a completely unknown source, began appearing in Gallipoli-China's cities, even obscuring the government's propaganda, both from the Parliament and the Council.  It featured what could only be a caricature of Supremo, his crown askew, lying on the ground with a large Gold (I hope it looks like a dollar sign) sticking out of his back.  In the background a red dawn was obscured by black clouds.  It was captioned "Bustian Freedom" in Dorian, Moorish, and Chinese.

This had been the last straw for the Gallipoli-Chinese; first Eire, then the DSA, then Eluvatar, then Myroria and Ryazania, and now this?  Their government had a dismal record protecting their nation's interests abroad, and they'd managed by their ineptitude to allow a Bustian colony on their doorstep.  This couldn't last.

OOC: no, I'm not hijacking the thread, this is to provide background for what happens next in my nation.

The folder, entirely sealed, was a simple plain manilla envelope with no hint of its contents.  However, this was not the first plain manilla envelope he had recieved that was delivered by a military officer, with armed escorts.

"Thank you for the coffee, Matthew," and with that, Matthew understood and left his office.

Inside the envelope was sealed folder.

The Force Recon Companies received news from their headquarters that there was another larger and more powerful nation moving it's forces.  The marines had recently been involved in numerous gun fights resulting in at least 30 of their men injured.  Before long, the men packed up their supplies, and boarded the C-5 airplanes that had arrived at a nearby open flat field.  Once boarded, the planes took off and returned to Jelsi.

The targets discovered by the Marine Special Operations units were brought to the attention of the Air Force.  Before long, four F-18 Hornets flew towards the land once known as Supremo.  Each was given a target, consisting of two terrorist training camps, one warlord headquarters and one weapons cache.  Each one was destroyed with a laser guided bomb fired from each F-18 Hornet.  It was confirmed that each target was taken out, with extra bombs dropped on the terrorist training camps and the warlord headquarters, with approximately 200-250 rebels killed from the air strike.  With that, the F-18s then returned to their headquarters in Jelsi.

-Palermu, Jelsi-

The Prime Minister finished her meeting with the Attorney General when she called the top members of the Military to her office.  Everyone knew that she was planning on rapidly building the country's military forces.  As the men came and took a seat she began to discuss her plans.

"Alright gentlemen, I have plans to stake out extra land for our country, and also keep the peace in Supremo." said the Prime Minister.  The meeting continued for quite sometime, and after the meeting ended, the General of the Marine Corps called up the 1st and 3rd Expeditionary Force, and the General of the Army called up the Army's 2nd Armored Division.

-Two weeks later-

The 1st and 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force arrived along the coast of Supremo, near the location their Special Forces had already operated.  Previous to their landing, Force Recon was called up and performed numerous reconnaissance operations around the area, making sure that the area was clear of any rebels.  Before long, the  Jelsi Military Headquarters were setup with the Armored Division in place as well.

Lt. General Angelizzi was heading up the operation with Lt. Colonel Sindone of the Army's armored division under his control.  Angelizzi had received notification before his departure from Jelsi that the Allied States had a presence in the country.  He decided to notify them, and sent them a message via e-mail.

President Anthony Washington sat at his desk reviewing the recent intelligence reports on the situation in Supremo. It seemed that country had descended into near anarchy; a continental matter as far as he was concerned.

"Margerie, can you tell the war staff I want to meet with them."

He then pressed a button on his phone to intercom Ambassador Jackson's office.

"Bill, come in here, I got an idea."

A minute later Ambassador William Jackson entered through a side door.

Washington handed him the intelligence packet with the page turned to a map of Supremo's colony where he had marked on it:

Anthony Washington and William Jackson entered the war room and Washington motioned the War Staff to sit as he took his place at the head of the table.

"Gentleman, what do you have for me?" Washington asked in his usual assertive tone.

"The military base in the Ginto Province has been abandoned since Islas Filipinas fell into disarray. The troops stationed there have either deserted or been recalled to their homeland," Admiral Johnson responded.

"What of the native peoples?"

"Much of the native populations were wiped out warring with the Filipino troops. The ones left are the ones who finally gave up and retreated to what areas they still control."

"How's our battle readiness?"

"The 1st and 4th fleets are forward-deployed at Ft. Tenokee and Ft. Chamblee, and the 1st and 2nd Subcorps are deployed in the North Merchant Sea. They can be at the territories in a matter of weeks."

Washington contemplated as if he had the weight of the world on his shoulders. Finally he spoke.

"They're island people too. Send the 1st and 4th fleets, flanked by the 1st Subcorps, and let's protect the peninsula and archipelago. Can we garrison the Islas Filipinas base?"

"We'll see what we can do," the Admiral responded.

Washington nodded and he rose to leave.

"Thank you gentlemen."

The radio hissed at the Air Traffic control station within the Bustian Islas-Filipinas base. "..This is HEA Andross and HEA Namren reporting in. Requesting permission to land at Station Islas-Filipinas! Over."

The radio hissed, and off in the distance, two HE-101 airships floated on the horizon. Inside of each HE101 stood about 20 men, and 1 APC, armed with 13 men. "I repeat, this is the HEA Andross and HEA Namren signaling for landing. Attached are 40 Army Regulars and 2 squads of Temple Knights. We are here on peace-keeping operations under the authority of Regent Aelister Magreda with orders to aid Bustian Troops and protect civilians from the land of Supremo. Within the South Plains, as per Bustian military procedures for occupation and assimilation, food and aid centers were being erected to support the civilian populace.  Bustian motorized patrols to combat crime, particularly around the farms, were becoming an increasingly common sight.  Additional Bustian soldiers and the 3rd Allied Fleet were enroute to support Operation Red Meat.

The Lt. General had gotten together with his men, and sent in a Force Recon Company into the city of Mojave, which was located west of their current location.  The 100 Marines parachuted into a small field that was surrounded by a wooded area separating the marines by 1.5 kilometers from the city.  The men were armed with SOPMOD M4 Carbines, with sound suppressors and  4 x day scopes attached, the men would make their way into the city, in squads of 10.  Once spread amongst the city, the Marines were able to survey the militants in the streets, estimating that there were approximately 4,000 - 5,000 militants in and around the city.  There were 25-30 anti aircraft devices spotted around the city.  Their locations were documented and delivered back to headquarters.  Reluctantly, the city had no sky scrapers thus preventing the Marines from facing targets from extremely high altitudes.

With the locations of the anti aircraft in sight, the RoJ Navy ordered the 3 Destroyers and 2 in the sea, to fire guided missiles on the targets during the night and the next days.  Once the anti aircraft units were taken down, the air strikes would take place, with the Force Recon team still operating in the city.

During these operations, the 2 Marine Expeditionary Forces continued to train, hydrate, train some more and hydrate some more.  They stayed at a constant alert.  The 1st MEF and the 1st Army Division prepared for their attack on the city of Mojave which would be taking place within the next week if not days, depending on the accuracy of the air campaign.  With that, Operation Pax Supremo was under way.

(OOC: Just so you know who walked into your office)

"Roger!" The radio hisses out as the two HE101 airships come into missile range of the base. The two ships slow down as they approach the runway, and the both seem to be coming in within about three meters of one another. They slowdown midair as their rotary pivots hiss, and move upright, then much like a helicopter, both ships sail vertically to the ground amid the airstrips. As the ships hit the ground, the back-door's of the plane open up, creating ramps onto the ground. One APC drives out of each, driving up towards the center of the complex. The first one stops and opens up, Pouring out soldiers in Crimson attire. Totally choreographed, the first soldier hops out with a machine-gun in hand, and points in all directions, shouting the following: "Adorior!" and nine other men stomp out, this time the driver and gunner staying in the vehicle. The soldiers form up in a line, and the second vehicle drives up towards the air-tower, pouring out the soldiers in a similar fashion, lining up before the complexes door. A man covered in crimson steel armor steps out of the vehicles gunner seat, standing before the line of soldiers. "Is this the place that I find the commander?" he questioned his troops. "Someone find me a Bustian!" He barked as he leaned up against the vehicle. Meanwhile, forty soldiers wearing white caps filed out of the HE-101 airships, forming a line behind them. The HE101's lifted off and flew a few meters off to the side, settling down it an unoccupied area to dock.

The centurion in his crimson mail walked forward towards the Bustian soldier, "Salve! I request a meeting with the leader of this base. Have me brought to him, please. Thank you." He stood in wait, glancing at the soldier in wait.

Colonel Trice heard clanking sounds coming down the hall.  What the hell is making all that noise?  But before he could get up from his desk to take a peek outside, a Sergeant knocked on his door.  "Come in."

"Colonel, this is the leader of the peacekeeping unit from High Evermore."

The Evermorian leader's entrance into his office answered his earlier question as his armor clanked against their own steel plates whenever the Evermorain moved.

Are they serious?  The colonel got up from his chair.  "Welcome to the South Plains.  I am Colonel Trice, commander of South Plains Base.  We have renamed our base to remove association with the former government."  The colonel extended his hand across the desk.

Modernization projects were underway at the animal farms of the South Plains.  It would be an easy, but huge task, as the previous government kept their farms up to date but,  in the midsts of rebellion, many pieces of agricultural machinery were looted.

Reconstruction projects of local infrastructure using hired local labor, one method being implemented to feed a Bustian economy into the South Plains, were currently underway.  Corporations having learned and profitted from The Great Tribe, were eager to invest in the South Plains, a potential colony of the Allied States.

He saluted, slamming his fist against his chest causing a loud thunk. "Salve! I am Centurion-Captain Julius Moreano of the Third Temple Knights International Citizens Unit. I am acting commander of this operation under the orders of Regent Aelister Magreda who gives Bustos the best of his prayers. As of this moment, my troops are at your disposal, and we wish to get authorization to share intelligence with you." The commander places a folder onto Trice's desk and furrows his brow for a moment. Leave it to Bustians to request paperwork and bureaucracy... "We have here base plans to regain control of a cities Civic Center under Command Epsilon Quinque. We request information as to the makeup of the major cities in the area, and the insurgencies so that we may get to work, Colonel."

The Centurion stood in the room quite sternly awaiting the colonels orders...

So much for that handshake...  The colonel sat back down.  He began to speak as he skimmed the folder.

"We dont have much of an insurgency problem, as we do a criminal problem.  With the collaspe of the government, people who have been oppressed for so long are not accustomed to the freedoms under our watch.  In addition to the collaspe of the economy and working infrastructure, there has been looting and pillaging, initially by the rebels, and now by the remaining civilians.

An urban environment might not be sound, considering your armor."  They'd hear you coming and run in the opposite direction.  "However, your men could be of use gaurding our distribution centers.  How many men are part of your unit?"

With the guided missiles removing all of the targets in the city, the air assault began inside of the city.  By this time, the two Marine brigades surrounded the city, with the Army's 1st Armored Division nearby as well.  Once the troops arrived, checkpoints were setup at all of the roads to prevent anyone from entering or exiting the city.  As people began to leave the city, all were stopped at the checkpoints, and searched for any weapons.  At this point, they were allowed to leave.  Numerous citizens gave tips on the location of the rebels located inside the city.  All of them matched up, leaving out any suspicion that the refugees were lying.  After the air strikes ceased, the ground assault began.

One battalion traveled to the southwestern part of the city, and began to fire on enemy forces located inside of the city.  Their main objective was to touch base with Force Recon, and get them out of the city ASAP, due to the lack of supplies.  The next day, the 1st Armored Division went straight into the city, firing on all enemy armored vehicles.  Meanwhile, the 1st and 2nd brigades of the 1st MEF began to make their way into the city.  After facing heavy fire, the marines began to clear each and every building, block by block in search of weapons.  At this point the enemy was caught off guard, because most of the rebels were caught up with fighting the Marine battalion in the southwest.  After two days of fighting, approximately 250 rebels were reported dead, 400 injured and 50 capture.  Seven Marines were injured in the start of the battle, and were swiftly brought out of combat and flown via helicopter to headquarters where they were treated.

The Lt. General of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force then sent a message to the Colonel.

Quote
Colonel,

This message is to let you know that the RoJ Marine Corps has began an assault on the city of Mojave.  We are clearing the city of the rebel forces located inside, and plan on restoring order to the city before long.  It is in both of our interests that you are aware of these actions, in hopes of preventing any friendly fire situations.  Thank You.

"I understand, however it is Evermorian policy that the officers wear such armor. If you look out the window, my men are armed with standard combat armors. In other words, I am the only one in such crimson steel. Now, I can send for Captain Elmore and have him bring up our plans and other such operations if anything else we specialize in can help you, and we have forty army regulars, and 26 Temple Knights. Equipped with 2 HE101 airships, and two APC carriers to support the Temple Knight units. Also, I have the authority to call in two more units should the need arise, sir." The armor clad man stood and took his last shot at the Colonel, "I want to remind you that we are here for peacekeeping purposes and to aid the Bustian forces in such operations, not guard your bases." And that is why you never doubt and Evermorian's pride, Trice...

Aid us with peacekeeping?  70 men and two APCs?  With that thought, Colonel Trice put the folder down and looked the captain in the eye.  "And I want to remind you I have not asked you to guard any of our bases.  Distribution centers serve the civilian populace.  They distribute food and aid to the civilian populace.  Your numbers are not sufficient to do much more than that.  Even if you do bring in 140 additional men.

I will be in command of nearly 20,000 men and women in South Plains in the coming weeks.  As much we appriecate your government lending an helping hand, unwelcomed or not," the colonel emphasized the last three words and continued, "it serves our interest to keep your small unit together.  You'll be given command in defense of a distribution center in a nearby city if you accept this peacekeeping operation."

So this is Bustian foreign policy... "Very well sir. Please allow us two days to assemble and get to the target. I request information on the surrounding area so that my men may make the proper perimeter around the area. Thank you very much Colonel Trice." The Centurion bows politely and salutes the man, then steps out of the bustian office.

Colonel Trice made sure the Evermorian Captain recieved the necessary information of the nearby city and distribution center but, nothing more.  The Bustian soldiers currently in defense of the center will be relieved by the Evermorians to join in on the city's patrols.

A visit to one of the largest farms in the South Plains was informative to the colonel.  The open fields home to cows, pens home to pigs, and wired cages home to various polutry.  But the colonel was also happy to leave.  Being a native of a large city, the smells of the animals were overwhelming for him.  Although the prime rib alone was worth the trip.

The first ship hauling butchered meats was being loaded at the docks during the colonel's inspection of the farm.  Soon the people of the Allied States will indulge in the wondrous taste of meat.

Mercantilist West O Company granted colony charter
Settlement to be established in Supremo territories

DECARTES (Decartes Business Journal) - Congress today granted the Mercantilist West O Company rights to establish settlements on the islands in the Supremo territories. The Sugar Company Act, which also makes the company the sole exporter of sugar from the territories, passed Congress unanimously.

The Mercantilst West O Company was created last week in a series of acts passed by Congress referred to collectively as the Mercantilist Company Acts.

The settlements will be governed by local elected assemblies, although ultimate authority rests with the President of the Mercantilist States. They will have dominion status and be under the protection of the Merchant Defense Force. The MDF has recently deployed fleets to the region and has recommissioned a former Islas Filipinas base.

The battle continued in the city, as the 2 Marine Brigades continued to push through the city, with the help from the armored division.  Before long, the city was under control of the Marines, with 45 marines killed, and a total of 227 injured.  Approximately 2,400 Rebels were killed, and 500 - 1,000 surrendered.  The city was then occupied by the entire 1st Marine Expeditionary Force.   Riots began shortly after the occupation of the city, but were soon silenced by the Jelsian Forces who very fiercely cracked down on the acts of violence.

The 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force in the mean time stayed on alert, as the second Armored Division from the RoJ Army was called up, as well as the 3rd, 4th and 6th Army Infantry Divisions.  The 31,000 Army soldiers were to replace the 18,000 Marines currently in the country, as well as the 1st Armored Division.  This, however was only to be temporary, once the area was under control the Military would soon lower the amount of troops in the area.

In the meantime, the Force Recon company was given a week to recoperate from the long mission in Mojave.  Their next task was to prepare for a reconaissance mission in the city of South Malibu, which was located north east of their position.  J.I.B. Agents were currently working undercover in the city and were gathering plenty of intelligence on certain locations of the other rebels.

We're going to build this city as close to that damn base as we can, James Neely thought to himself as he headed towards the location he had picked out on the map. He had heard stories from the continent about the war between the Filipinos and the native populations here in the Supremo territories; and while the government may have faith that they were going to welcome the Mercantilians as liberators, he wasn't as sure.

He had already sent others out to the smaller islands to start construction of settlements. He was going to build this sugar empire the same way the the Mercantilist Brewing Co. had built theirs, multiple small island settlements linked to a central distribution city. His company had been granted a sugar monopoly for the area for 21 years, and he was damned if he was going to let investment fail because they were harassed by a group of natives. They were going to have the safest spot on the block.

The Islas Filipinas base that the Merchant Defense Force had recommissioned was much different from a standard MDF military base. All MDF bases sat right on the coast for easy access by the Subcorps and Navy. The Islas Filipinas base, on the other hand, placed much more of an emphasis on the Army and outter defense. The Navy, though they'd never admit it, probably had a lot they could learn from the design. The Corps of Engineers was having a hell of a time expanding the base and he was betting he could get construction started before they got there.

As he arrived at the location he got out of his Mammoth X5 and look around at the location. He could see the complex now.

He pulled out his cell phone and dialed his construction manager, "Jim, we've got a location."

The Evermorian centurion looked around the city as his units moved through their perimeters. Islas Filipinas is not worth my time... He signaled for someone, and a radio operations specialist came over. He picked up the radio phone, and started speaking into it. "Salve, Dominus! This is Centurion Moreno calling from Islas Filipinas region. I have had a look at some infrastructure and Bustian operations in the area. I think it best for use not to attempt any form of colonization of the area. Not a good plan for our first colonization attempt, sir." The regent whispered over the phone. "Understood sir. Operation Epsilon is called off, I will get on the line with the Defense Minister asap." The phone clicked out and the specialist went away.

The centurion shot his rifle into the air and held his sword high in the other hand, "Epsilon non verum est! Continue your patrols, were under Bustian primary command until further notice." The centurion walked over to one of the APC's, which drove off with him in it.

The Air Assault began around the city of South Malibu.  The F-14 Tomcats dropped numerous laser guided bombs on multiple targets, holding weapons, and suspected rebel headquarters.  The 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force moved towards the city along with the 1st Armored Division, which was now on it's way from Mujave.

Meanwhile, Mojave had been occupied by the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, and was experiencing some retaliation from a small group of rebels, in the northeastern portion of the city.  A company of 100 RoJ Marines was sent to the area, and were quickly involved in a fierce gun fight with the rebel group, estimating to be approximately 125-150 fighters.  Most were part of the remaining forces left over from the initial battle in the city.     Before long, there were three other areas in the city, now engulfed in fighting.  Three other companies were in the northwestern portino of the city, a major hot spot for the Marines.  The battle in the northeastern part of the city left 5 marines dead, and approximately 45 rebels killed and many more injured.  Soon after the battle Colonel Fratuzzi ordered numerous patrols in teh areas, in an attempt to control the hot areas.

With the Evermorians busy in a city, near the now named South Plains Base, gaurding a distribution center, they remained out of sight and out of mind for the colonel.  At least with them being here and engaged in peacekeeping, it supported the cover of our true intentions.  The South Plains Dominion is on its way to meet colony status.  At worst, this area would make a fine occupational zone for military operations.

The Army's 3rd Infantry Division arrived in the Jelsi controlled territory within the former state of Supremo.  The 10,000 soldiers made their way towards Mojave, and began setting up their headquarters.  The 1st Marine Expeditionary Force was expected to hand over control of the city to the Army over the next few days, but for now, they had to remain in place.  J.I.B. Agents (Jelsi Intelligence Bureau) were sent into Rebel territory.  By blending in with the population, they were able to discover a plot to over throw the Jelsi Military.  Three known War Lords in the area were expecting to team up and form a large scale attack on the city of Mojave, and if possible take over the city of South Malibu.  The combined forces estimated to be 10,000 soldiers and were armed with russian made AK-47's and numerous other updated weaponry.  The intell was delivered back to the headquarters, and as a conclusion, the Marines had to extend their tours until the 2 other Infantry Divisions were in place.

In South Malibu, the fight began to take control of the city, with the 2nd MEF and the 1st Armor Division plowing through the city, going house to house, block by block with air support from A-10s, and AH-1Z Cobras.  The M3A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicles also provided support for any possible rebels trying to infiltrate the city.  The Humvees provided support with the .50 Calibur machine guns mounted on top, preventing overbearing resistance from the enemy.

In Mojave, the city began to calm down, with little to no resistance left from any rebel fighters.  The citizens favored the Jelsi Military, and have began working to rebuild the city after the war and riots.  Contractors from Jelsi traveled to the city and helped in the recovery process.

"Can you believe that?" Lt. Colonel Mary Markin said with a hint of disbelief as she entered the office of Colonel James Madison IV and pointed to the nearly completed corporate office tower of the Mercantilist West O Company. Markin had just returned from Decartes where she had been meeting with General Kinii about plans for Ft. Ginto, and this was the first she had seen of the tower which partially obscured their view of the bay and naval docks.

"That's capitalism," Madison responded as he puffed on a cigar of Mercantilism Apple Tobacco.

The Mercantilist West O Company's sugar operation was running smoothly in the sugar islands, although occasional skirmishes were fought between the corporate police force and the natives on the outskirts of their controlled territory. Madison was the officer in command of the new Ft. Ginto, and thus in charge of the city.

"What from the States?"

"They want us to expand our defense perimeter. Unofficially, help the West O Company police force. They are going to begin opening up the city up for civilian emigration. There has been unrest at home recently, something about the government cutting back welfare and health care programs. And they want to try and release the tension by letting people come here."

"Any news?"

"Jim Gardener narrowly survived a vote of confidence in the Jazzan Parliament."

"Really? Wow."

"Tenokee still hasn't finished writing a constitution. Apparently General Lock is giving 'em hell."

Madison smiled, he had served under Lock previously and the two were good friends.

"Expanding our city perimeter is going to be tough," Madison said. "A number of our patrols have already come under attack from natives."

"We've been given orders to quote, 'get it done'." Markin said.

Madison looked at Markin and paused. They knew where most of the attacks from the natives were coming from. He would have preferred to just force them off the peninsula. It saved lives but took time.

He nodded.

"Send word to the 1st and 4th fleets and notify the West O police to fall back... And at least send the natives a warning."

OOC EDIT: My participation in this Role Play has moved to the Supremo thread...

The Armada that presented itself was the largest military operation ever undertaken by the government. The Armada quickly set sail from the three ports each fleet having it's own objectives to complete. General Tajoud monitored the progress from the command flag ship Mohamed. He watched as the radar detected the air force overhead en route to the islands. Several of the armies divisions were being taken by ship, however, a few select units were flown into ports and airports to prepare for the arrival. He checked the battle roster again...

Quote
1 Armored Divisons
4 Mechanized Divisions
2 Airmobile Brigades
1 Airborne Brigade
1 Special Forces Group
Defense Wing Three
Peacekeeper Honor
Task Force Ali
Task Force Farrak
Surface Fleet Eight

all units were present and accounted for. He quickly checked his pocket watch his mentor gave him, 57 hours until they are within horizon of the territory.

General Tajoud looked to Adm. Hussyn, "How much longer until we launch the landing forces?"
"Roughly 56 minutes until we are within range"
Already the air force was dominated the airspace. PsyOps had taken control of local television and radio airwaves and were spitting propaganda to the people of Laguna, Amortia, and Susanna. These three cities were key to the success of the mission. PsyOps told the citizens that a curfew was in effect until further notice, special airborne, airmobile, and special forces units were beginning their move into tactical positions throughout the islands. Seaports and Air ports of strategic value were quickly subdued and taken control of. MiG fighters patrolled the skies, while Special Mission Teams took control of the local government officials. Former high ranking military and police commanders were also arrested and sent to hasty detention faciilities throughout the islands. Airborne units jumped onto the three key domestic airfields, along with 3 key seaports. Following them were airmobile units and their heavy guns for support. Little to no resistance was met by the teams, this could be due to the secluded nature of the islands. Either way, within the hour ground forces would begin their push into the heart of the island chain.

Attention Attention All civilian aircraft and watercraft have been siezed by the nation of Whereamistan to prevent the escape of enemies of the state.

All three ports had been overwhelmed almost immediately. Several small frigates, a dozen high speed patrol boats, and even a destroyer were captured by the Navy. Little contact with hostile forces were made, and the army divisions were now sweeping into the islands to regain control. A 24 hour curfew has been placed into effect, a civilian riot is going on in Laguna. The riot is contained, and arrests were being made. All airports were quickly reinforced and the bulk of the air force detachment could now land safely. Water, Electricity, and all other public works were quickly brought back up. Check points on every main road, highway, and town were quickly being manned.

Stats:
Whereamistan Armed Forces:
1 Frigate Destroyed
1 Destroyer Damaged
5 KIA
19 WIA

Islas Filipinas:
3 Frigates Captured
1 Destroyer Captured
98 Arrested or Detained
2 KIA
67 WIA

Gen. Tajoud called to Gen. Kruffa. "The Mechanized Divisions are moving into the cities of Laguna, Susanna, and Amortia as we speak. One mechanized division and the armored division will hold in reserve if needed. The  Navy is holding a blockade around the islands and we have set up a civilian corporation to distribute food and medical supplies to those that need it."
"Gen. Tajoud, My boys are holding at the airport. We have several squadrons along with SAM batteries around the airport to assist in keeping bugs out"
"Very Well"

Susanna recieved the new troops well. They were glad to recieve some resemblence of Law and Order. Checkpoints were initiated, and the curfew was dropped to hours of darkness. Schools, churches, and local business restarted as if everything was normal. Helicopters and MiG aircraft were heard overhead, and it was abnormal to see a tank at a busy intersection guarding it. A city council was restarted under the guidance to the Military Authority Council. In Amortia, things were disturbingly quiet. Doors were locked, windows closed. The division quickly set up sweep and clear operations dividing the city into 12 sections. The border of the city was closed off, and hlicopters scanned the rooftop for snipers or ambushes. Laguna had a small demonstration that was quickly disbanded. Several protest leaders were arrested, others were sent home. Civilian contractors went door to door handing out food and tending to any medical needs.

King Xipil looked over the numerous documents placed before him, a concerned wrinkle creased his forehead. "Are you sure the situation is this bad?"

"Yes, Comrade." A General stood before him in a pristine military outfit, rigid and tense. He'd served Xipil well in the counter insurgency, proving himself an able tactician in the southern highlands.

Looking over the files, noting the multiple interventions by foreign powers. They're all aimed at grabbing land. They care not for the people. He shuffled through more files, reading statistics and death rates, calls for help.

He began writing a letter patiently, wording it as careful as he could. "General..." he spoke, looking to the stern man before him. "Your orders."

It would appear that the rebels above the border of South Plains were becoming increasingly demanding.  Requests for additional arms, munitions, medicine and food grew in larger and larger numbers.  While they have been successful in defending their territory from outside agressors and even made some acquistions, they have not bothered to keep a watch on their supplies.  Rebels across the border were becoming accustomed to having Bustian aid.  Colonel Trice had requested a meeting with the rebel leader.

Hundreds of Republican Guardsmen swiftly dug themselves into trenches, machine guns and rifles at the ready, every eye warily watching the jungle tree line for any sign of the enemy.

By nightfall, however, many of the rookies had begun to relax. The rumble over the horizon was only briefly heard by several men, who gazed to the skies ponderously. The roar became louder, and murmurs spread throughout the trenches before the crack of an explosion ripping through sand and mud just behind the trench line sent conscipts flying to the deck with hands over their necks. Several conscipts, fulfilling their duty out of fear of their officers moreso than death, brought forward several SA-7 Grail, waiting for the fighters to turn back to strafe the trench. A heavy cannon ripped through sand near the trench and a MiG-29 flew overhead, several streams of smoke strailing after it as the low budget anti-air missiles struggled to strike their target.

A soldier radio'd the fleet, desperate for assistance. "We need air support now!"

"There are no air fields to launch fighters from."

"Then give us some god damned missiles!"

"Hold out until nightfall, then proceed into the jungle and establish further encampments there."

After several more minutes of waiting, several more missiles streaked through the air, more sophisticated than the simple MANPADs. Sachsen-class frigates had moved in to support the Guardsmen on the beach, and by nightfall all 6,000 soldiers had landed, digging themselves into the jungle. The other 8,000 soldier lay not far behind.

"God damnit, there's so many!" shouted a Guardsmen as he ducked behind dense foilage. The undergrowth was thick, and though outnumbered by better trained soldiers, their equipment was more suitable to their positions. Their shotguns seemed to find the soft points in the Filipino Marine's kevlar, especially from 20 yards away. Smoke was rising from behind the Filipino positions, and from the south, where the city of Cebu rose above the treetops. 8,000 more Guardsmen were landing on the beach to the south, meeting little opposition as many of the Filipinos had moved to counter the first attack.

"Intelligence reports there's a base of 20,000 Marines at Cebu, the largest concentration within Islas Filipinas," says the Colonel while reading his report.

"Colonel, have your Brigade spread out. I need distractions. Brigadier General!" Another officer dressed in spiffy military decal snapped a salute. "Move your troops into Cebu, I want it taken by nightfall. Secure it, and establish safe points for the citizens. I want them to know that we're here to bring peace."

"Yes sir," spoke the Brigadier General, barking orders to several men who relayed the orders through the radio.

The men, however, didn't move at the pace that the General's words did. They'd quickly become bogged down in the eastern sector of the city once word of their arrival reached the Filipino military. Filipino Marines ducked in and out of cover, utilizing their better equipment and training to deadly effect..

The Republican Guard did, however, manage to procure the port. After several hour of combat with the defense forces there, they managed to take several dozen men prisoner and the second wave of Republican Guardsmen was set to begin their tour in Islas Filipinas.

Intelligence reports informed Brigadier General Trice (just recieved a promotion) of Xyrael's invasion from the other side of Islas Filipinas.  But there was little concern over this matter as South Plains entered DEFCON ONE and he had more pressing concerns with all the troops, equipment, and supplies coming and going.  Not to mention the greedy rebels that bordered South Plains.

Due to his recent promotion he sent another colonel to represent him with the rebel leader.  The Allied States concerned about the increasing hostilities near and abroad did not want to escalate any more conflict.  Aid will still be provided but a cap had been placed on the amount of aid per month.  He only hoped the rebel leader would accept these conditions.

Further along the northern coast soldiers continued to combat Filipino soldiers, using flamethrowers to smoke out the well trained marines from their cover and into the sights of waiting shotguns. Casualties were mounting for both sides as Xyraelites grew more hardened every day.

Meanwhile, further south along the island the Republican Guard had made headway, successfully routing the Filipino forces. Civilians were allowed to travel through the city, but a curfew was enforced. The Republican Guard had made provisions, and a supply depot was quickly set up, and food and potable water offered freely to the hungry. Checkpoints to allow refugees entry to the city were established and maintained.

Outside the small city, construction vehicles acquired by the Guard hastily cut down forest surrounding a clearing, the first steps towards constructing an airfield to support the military.

"Push forward, men!" crackled the radio as officers shouted orders from the safety of their cover. The myriad of infantry, now 103,500 strong, were making progress rapidly in the northern jungles. But the bulk of the forces were tied down along a highway to Mandaue City.

Flame tanks and waves of infantry threw themselves headlong into attacking Filipino forces, until finally they had reached the jungles edge. Filipino Battle Tanks roamed a plain-like region on the southern part of the island, and the Republican Guardsmen fortified their positions waiting for armor and air support. The large numbers of wounded and the lack of adequate beds in the Cebu hospital meant that several Field Hospitals had to be hastily set up in any clearings that could be found in the dense jungle. Large numbers of soldiers were MIA as well, either killed in such a fashion their remains could not be identified, or more likely deserters.

"Sir! Eastern Corps reports success! It appears as though the Filipino's are withdrawing for a defense," snapped an officer. The Republican Guard was one of the few structures with a clear heirarchy, and the lowly officer reporting to the General kept as much reverence in his voice as possible.

General Zopahua smiled, looking at his battle plan. "Excellent, this senseless fighting will soon end. How long until the armor arrives, Captain?"

Another officer snapped a salute, quickly informing the General. "Two days, sir."

"Have the men entrench along the highway, so far the Filipino armor remains in the field. They're waiting for us to surge down the highway, it's the fastest route to Mandaue City." General Zapahua pondered for a moment. "In two days, order the Western Corps to foray south and ensure we have the Filipino's attention at the northern plains. Then, have Eastern Corps move quickly to Mandaue City. The Filipino's will believe our northern 'attack' to be a diversion, and that Eastern Corps is the true attack. We'll bring forward our armoured divisions and sweep south, surrounding Mandaue City by land and encircling the Filipino's. Then we'll see what terms they're willing to accept."

He tinkered with a pen, nervously biting the tip. "Give me the com." The Captain quickly handed a phone to the General, who dialed a number rapidly. "Admiral Ispaca... yes... yes, that's right. Okay, perfect." General Zapahua smiled towards the Captain as he handed the phone back, glancing back to his plan. Now I have to trust Eastern Corps not to fail me.

Eastern Corps, made up of nearly 50,000 soldiers, sat poised to strike. 30,000 of them were to risk their lives feigning an attack against the Filipino forces so that the Republican Armoured Divisions could punch south and siege Mundaue City (Operational Target Mundaue). It sounded like a good plan...

"But it involves us not dying!" shouted a Captain to his men, holding a Radom AKM in his hand, his other arm relaxed at his side held a radio. He pointed to the west. "We're going until they tell us to stop. If we get to Oscar Tango Mike, we take it, y'hear?!"

"Yes sir!" shouted the men in unison. An awkward silence fell over the group before the Captains radio blurted out orders.

"Aight men, move!"

Within two hours the Republican Guard had quick marched halfway to Mundaue City before the radio an alert. After several quick orders, hasty trenches were dug with small spades. They bristled with several thousand barrels and small arms. On the horizon they could see a dust cloud looming closer and the men gritted their teeth, writing letters to their family back home. They'd seen the effects of the anarchy in Islas Filipinas at Cebu, however, and their will to fight was unquestionable.

Several rounds from battle tanks in the distance slammed into mud and foilage, and the men hunkered down further. After nearly half an hour of shelling, the tanks had finally lingered close enough for the real fighting to begin. Hundreds of men hurled themselves over the tops of the trenches and into cover, struggling to bring their RPG's within range.

Filipino infantry and snipers easily picked off Republican soldiers from a distance, picking off the freshest of the recruits with ease. Rockets shot through the air, seldom striking true, but creating enough of a threat to force the Filipino tanks to withdraw. The Republican soldiers advanced on the Filipino's, who were outnumbered and outflanked with ease.

After nearly four hours of bitter fighting, the Filipino tanks reemerged behind the Republican forces, Filipino infantry claiming the trenches the Republicans had dug. Exposed, the Eastern Corps fought to finish off the infantry they had encircled as battle tanks picked away at their numbers. Bodies covered the once serene landscape, now riddled with hundreds of smoldering craters. Clouds of smoke rose to the sky, and the sound of gunfire could be heard miles away for hours more. Nearly twelve hours after the battle had begun, 17,000 Republican soldiers lay dead on the field, their blood pooling with the 15,000 dead Filipino's.

The Filipino's had found their victory against the Eastern Corps bittersweet, moreso since it the diversion had succeeded. Over six hundred Republican tanks had swarmed across the northern planes, followed closely by armoured divisions. Mirage fighters harrassed the victorious Filipino forces until anti-air cover was too thick to make any damage done profitable. By nightfall, propoganda rained from the sky, calling for any would-be refugees to seek freedom at Cebu. With moral sinking fast, and any chance of further attacks foiled by their Pyrrhic victory, the Filipino General submitted to Republican terms of surrender.

General Zapahua paced silently, observing the bustling officers busily checking forms. It had been days of dull, nearly pointless bureaucracy since his forces had gained control of Cebu island.

A captain barged through the doors, swiftly striding to the general. He snapped a salute before speaking without permission. The general chose to ignore this lack of decorum, sensing the matter was urgent. "Sir! High Command has orders we're to continue with operations!"

He stood calmly, quickly assembling his thoughts. He'd been waiting for the order for some time, and he looked to his logistics officer who simply nodded. "We'll have reinforcements within a week, and we already have enough soldiers stationed to guarantee continuous supplies for operations throughout northern Islas Filipinas."

Zapahua's smile grew larger. We'll finish what the Capitalists dare not.

"Alright men, here are my new orders: Organize 95,000 men for our next operation, assure the remainder maintain order and tend to the wounded, and acquisition me more troops. Deploy our fighters and get me some recon on our landing area. I want to be in Manilla by the end of the year."

"But sir, what about the interim government?"

"Let the bureaucrats handle that later, we need to finish our job now."

"Yes sir."

Hundreds of tanks and infantry stormed onto the Filipino beach, ignoring choppy waves as they surged to the awaiting enemy. Intense machine gun fire from nests gunned down Republican Guardsmen. The Republican command knew the local Filipino warlord would be waiting, and several naval cruise missiles strike Filipino bunkers, sending debris and bodies flying through the air. The Filipino's, heavily outnumbered, quickly realized they were losing the battle massively, and a disorderly full retreat was called for. The Republican Guard pushed forward, taking the former defensive positions of the Filipino's and hastily constructing a command center while driving the warlords army home. Mirage fighters launched their payloads upon the fleeing forces, and Filipino morale plummeted.

After driving home the Filipino force, a siege was created preventing the town from receiving food, and mortars filled with propoganda leaflets were launched into the town daily. Within a four days the Republican Guard had seized control of the town and the remaining eight thousand Filipino soldiers.

General Zapahua looked like an embittered man, wrinkles cracked his forehead without cessation. The sound of distant gunfire had lasted for over two months, the Filipino resistance was stunningly brilliant. The clouds were clear of aircraft, Filipino air defense assuring the Xyraelites could not gain the skies, but close Xyraeli naval support ensuring the Filipino's would not gain the advantage either. The fighting had degenerated into trench warfare, neither side gaining any ground. The Republican Guard had managed to take little ground, but in total controlled only the coast near Cebu.

He read a note stained by many oily hands. The Imperial Sign was addressed to the letter, it was directly from the King.

Quote
Hello, General. I have realized the severity of your situation all too late. We must not falter, we must strengthen ourselves in the face of adversity. OOC: No one else wants the "pieces of the pie" as Bustos crudely put it, and the two others have gone into hiatus without notice. It is time for the Question of Islas Filipinas to be answered, and a Xyraeli flag will fly beside the Filipino flag soon enough.

Intelligence reports from the local EA office had gave Brigadier General Trice notice of Xyrael's incursion from the north.  However, the most detailed reports came from the friendly rebels just north of South Plains' border.  In fact, General Trice was aware of Xyrael's troops via the rebels before EA brought the first reports conerning them.  The rebels had hoped by sharing the information, he would increase their monthly aid shipments.

Hundreds of thousands of Xyraeli troops were expected to support their continued agressions into northern Islas.  The General sent a request for additional troops to support perimeter defenses.  He also had a plan in mind to utilize the friendly rebels to the north.  Why send his own men to fight when he can send others in their stead?

Letter from Admiral Ispaca addressing locale.

A blockade of former Islas Filipinas is now in effect. Exceptions to this are merchant vessels and military convoys headed to Bustian controlled territories. We ask that the Bustian forces assist in cutting aid to the former Filipino state. Any vessel caught smuggling contraband to aid rebels will be sunk. Any legitimate nation seeking to liberate the Filipino peoples is asked to contact Admiral Ispaca.

Operation: Choking Tyranny
25 Berlin class replenishment vessels
40 Type-125 Frigates
40 Sachsen-class Frigates
10 Kirov-class Battlecruisers
15 Alfa class submarines
15 Akula class submarines

Several Filipino fighters flying near Jelsi controlled territory notice a large approaching naval force. Flying closer to investigate they notice that the force is much larger than the announced blockade. Two fighters break off to engage while a third quickly heads home to report the sighting. Both attacking fighters are intercepted by several missiles before they can get a fix on their targets, and hundreds of landing craft race towards the Filipino shore. Beaching themselves on the sand and dropping their ramps, a flood of armor spills forth onto the beach and immediately engages hastily drawn resistance. Ship-launched cruise missiles fly through the sky, slamming into bunkers and anti-air missile sights. More Filipino fighters hug the ground to strafe the aggressing force, but are systematically gunned down by newly constructed PZA Loara (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PZA_Loara) and Yataghan MBT's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-84_Yatagan) quickly engage armoured Filipino units. Sweeping through the south eastern plains, Republican armor quickly thrusts itself over the rolling hills. Within eight hours the first sounds of gunfire can be heard within the Filipino city of Pagadian, and one hundred thousand Republican Guardsmen hurl themselves into the bitter jaws of urban warfare.

The remains of the Filipino government residing in Manille hastily draft citizens, which are forced to reinforce the surprised garrison at Pagadian, allowing Republican forces to take the port city of Davao within two days of the blitz. Three hundred thousand infantry and another armoured column land at Lucena, but do not push across the plains.

Dux Marcus Arillious may have been Nero's Faverd, but he and his Elite Appolo legion wasn't the ones moving towards a military blockade of a nation decided for military intervention. no, it was Dux Julius Colligulis he smiled, he had requested, and gotten the main section of Sipitha Class Subs (Ohio class). They moved in the front, He sent a open message to the blockade

"This is Dux Julius Colligulis oh the 4th legion and expeditionary force of Irnotia. Divert your blockade and let us pass or we will consider it an act of war against the Grand Imperium and we have fleets with in strike range, we do not wish to go to war with your nation. We have No Bad Will against you, but we are here under orders. A Legionare never disobeys an Order."

The Fleet was on high alert, for any offensive actions taken from the part of blockade they would respond with force 100 fold what ever was shown.

The Republican Naval vessels came to a complete stop, and underneath the Irnotian fleet a faint blip appeared on the Irnotian radar. A Republican Alfa-class submarine was increasing the distance between itself and the Irnotians as its radar detected an unknown number of submersible craft.

Quote
To: Irnotian Fleet

Do not engage Republican forces. You are allowed to pass. Our forces will not engage, and we do not wish for any hostilities with legitimate powers. We ask that you secure the safety of the Filipino people.

Admiral Ispaca sent a highly encrypted message directly to General Zapahua over short range burst transmission. "Step up your efforts. We do not need funny lines drawn by bureaucrats to separate Filipino families. Ensure that entire regions are brought under Republican control, but do not attempt to fracture the broken state further."

An announcement was made to all Republican Guard units. "Irnotian forces entering RCT OT Tango Bravo. All forces pushing OT Tango Bravo redirect to OT Lima Sierra."

The Irnotian Fleets moved towards the coastal city they had chosen. Radar Reports showed strong A-A installations but light defenses besides it. It seemed the spread of forces was more north of it.
They New the A-A would be a massive problem, as Irnotia didn't have the most air force in the world to be able to lose them willy nilly on anti A-A runs. So instead they went with a different method. 4 Sipitha surfaced at let fly a set of Surface to Surface missiles at the Installation. At the Same time Navel Batteries opened up on the coastal defenses, return fire was taken but the damage was acceptable.
Troop Ships Then were launched towards the shore, one was taken out killing 9 of the men on it stranding the rest on the water. Other Ships moving past dropped lines for the men to grab. The Military force Moved towards the shore swarming the light Defenses.

As soon as the Area was secure, they began to send Centuries into the city each with heavy weapon division support, they would secure the City. Then they would prepare for the inevitable Counter attack from the warlords to the north of them.

The first battle was one with minimal casualties, two landing crafts were destroyed/disabled and a few of the navel craft had been hit. But the reparis were not extensive. Medical teams were deployed to take care of the wounded. This would be the base of their operations, they would move out as soon as they were secure.
The next battle should be much harder

South Plains have grown since its induction as a colony of the Allied States.  A mirror government had taken over for General Trice, elected by the citizens of the colony.

General Trice having spent many years there, married a local woman and called the colony his new home.  As such he requested to be posted with the permanent garrison in South Plains.  After exemptarly performance in the acquistion of South Plains and its animal farms, particularly his involvment in Operation Silent Revolution, his request was granted and he oversees all military operations in South Plains.

Not far from the South Plains Base, CAM opened their first factory in the colony, creating thousands of jobs as well as reducing the need for military supplies shipped to the colony.  This factory is the first of many opening across the developing colony.  CAM now has factories in all of the Allied States and its territories.

Soon after they had stabilized control of the Area around the landing a pull out began, they were to move onto other operations.
The remaining cohort of the Legion braced itself for what would come. Soon forces began to gather. After three days tanks began to move towards the city. Anti-Armor infantry divisions fired shoulder mounted artillery crippling many of the forward force. The War Lords tanks fired onto the defenses killing many teams. Soon APC moved in, a few were destroyed killing all on board. Most of the apc moved in deploying military forces. They broke past the first line of defense the Legionaries and the few supporting Armor Units fell back into the city. Legionaries deployed into houses and buildings Fired down onto the forces below them.

Enemy forces used their heavy artillery to fire at buildings that were holding legionaries, but they were often then dropped by Legionary Snipers using M200's in different locations in the city.

Mines deployed in the road devastated the armor that moved into the city and triggered anti personnel explosives hit units moving in with lethality. Legionaries pulled out of the front section of the city, the second line of defense fell to the invading forces. The Third fired with many different heavy machine gun nests tour into the enemy forces. Legionaries began counter deployment to move around and focus the Forces moving in to one area. As the Forces began to move in heavy explosives went off.
Legionaries began mop up operations as enemy air forces moved in, helicopters in prominent. Legionaries took cover from the air fire, anti-air squads moved out to fire and cripple or destroy the Choppers, many of these squads were cut down by enemy forces. But the heavy loses of the forces forced a withdrawal. The air forces pulled out to cover the withdrawal. The first counter attack against the Legionaries was pushed back.

The IRRW territory of Filipinas Island was under strict government control. The Filipina government was semi autonomous with supervision from the Office of the Minister of Territorial Supremacy. Day to day life was better than before the overtake. Several hospitals and schools were built throughout the more rural parts of the island and a highway lapped the entire island. A portion of the island was turned into a tourist destination with luxurious hotels and clubs. The IRRW Navy stayed primarily in the port of Susanna, with the smaller vessels patrolling the entire territorial waters. The Military Police maintained a heavy presence throughout every city and village.

OOC: I never finished this. Now is the time to do so. Saletsia (former Supremo) once said I deserved it. Here is my coup-de-grace

IC:
Several dozen special squads of State Infantry slipped through the now quiet borders between Xyrael and the new Islas Filipinas, which had turned into a harsh militarist dictatorship. A unsteady ceasefire had been declared by the Xyraeli government just prior to the King’s demise, and now the State had assured it’s people the government would not fail. In secret thousands of tons of military equipment was shipped to Cebu island and occupied Lucena and Naga. Southern State forces had withdrawn according to the ceasefire treaty, but Cebu island and the western coast were still under Xyraeli occupation.

If one could gaze upon the equipment being sent into the occupied zones, one would easily tell these were not simply measures to reinforce Xyraeli forces. These were weapons of war. Large amounts of cruise missiles, refitted Gripens designed for precision strike bombing, and large numbers of infantry. Over the past few weeks hundreds of Filipino separatists, funded by the State and aided by State Partisans, were quickly being organized and equipped with the latest in war gear.

Meanwhile, the militarists grew lax amidst the boredom of bureaucracy. Anti-government forces were rallying under a flag of Filipino nationalism, and a new war was soon to come, but the government was not planning a prolonged war.

The separatists and Partisans had situated themselves in key positions, able to cripple the infrastructure of the Filipino nation in under two hours. A series of highly effective air strikes targeting key military locations would follow, and shortly after the nationalist forces would rally the people in a nationwide insurrection. The plan was tactical, effective, but it had to be carried out flawlessly if the war was to end quickly.

02:18

In the cover of darkness, well hidden in the jungle shrubbery, 20 men crouched cloaked in the veil of shadows. The moonlight barely illuminated a number of mortars and another man held in his hand a remote.

The night before several men had successfully planted explosives on a SAM site. This had been done across the country, but there men were looking at a garrison of one hundred and fifty Filipino soldiers. Two heavy machine guns lay in forward positions as the seconds ticked away in the minds of every soldier laying in the field. They all prayed the explosives were still armed. They all prayed they would see a victory today. They all prayed to see their families, their children, they all prayed together.

At 2:25 AM the signal was given. An explosion ripped through the SAM site while mortars slammed into the barracks. Hordes of Filipino soldiers scrambled for their arms, searchlights scanned the black while the nationalist forces held their fire in fear their muzzle flashes would reveal their location. A second mortar volley ripped through the camp, flinging bodies into the air, and the machine guns opened fire on the towers.

02:30

Cruise missiles raced through the air, slamming into large military installations with only moments warning. The ill prepared guardians of the Militarist Filipino nation were destroyed by masses of ordinance guided to target by pinpoint laser guidance.

Squadrons of Gripen blitzed to air force bases, ripping through the poorly maintained Filipino Air Force within an hour, dropping cluster bombs across large military outposts while the Filipino army struggled to bring up mobile radar units, which were quickly incapacitated by roaming EW air teams. The State Air Forces had eliminated 60% of the Filipino military in under an hour, and already a second wave was en route to hit the scattered remnants.

04:00

The roar of hundreds of engines stirring to life, tracks struggling to grip loose sand and dirt, and the shouts of officers along the beachhead shattered the silence of the fragile State-Filipino border. Mechanized Infantry units and Tank squadrons surged through panic struck Filipino soldiers, who hastily retreated into the jungle

By daybreak 60% of the nation was well controlled by State Military forces, but regrouped and ready Filipino militarists still held the key cities of Manille, Boracay, Angeles, and Pagadian. Filipino nationalists rallied the people, spreading armaments and pamphlets throughout the cities, and by noon the national economy was crippled with nationwide strikes.

Pagadian had been gripped by near immediate marshal law as reports of Xyraeli landing crafts hitting the southern beaches reached the garrison. Trenches were made and barricades set up, tank traps lined the street while drafted Filipino's were forced to lay hundreds of mines in the fields.

General Caharian looked over a hastily modified map showing the remaining Filipino forces. Nationalists had taken much of what the Xyraelites had not. His face was flused red with rage as he paced the tent, lower ranking officers shuffling about busily as they relayed his orders to the field. He wouldn't let this city fall, every one of his men would fight or he'd personally execute their families.

"General Caharian, new orders!" A Lieutenant rushed to him with a sheet of paper, and his eyes skimmed over it quickly before turning to his adjutant.

"Tell the men--" a gunshot rang out, blood splattering across the orders in his hand, soaking the adjutant's face as it gushed from his throat. General Caharian fell to his knees, eyes wrought with terror as another bullet slammed into the adjutants head, spilling brains across the tent. The men rushed to grab their weapons as sniper fire continued to pick off men in the camp. Twenty minutes later the sniper was dead, and the highest ranking Filipino officer in Pagadian was a Captain.

The nationalist flag flew high in the center of Pagadian as insurgents and Partisans alike ambushed key city locations such as police stations, city centers, radio and television stations, and even banks. Within twenty minutes all broadcasts across southern Islas Filipinas had been interrupted with Nationalist propaganda urging Filipino's to rise up. Hundreds more civilians, watching these messages and hearing gunfire outside, drew their weapons and took to the streets. In a matter of hours Pagadian had turned into a lawless mess, and the militarists could not maintain their flanks in the face of a Xyraeli assault.

State Infantry tanks and personnel could be seen on the horizon, and many Filipino soldiers dropped their weapons and sprinted towards their foe hoping to surrender, as the rebels would take no prisoner. Hundreds of Filipino's surrended, and the Captain of the militarist forced shot himself in his tent. It took the Xyraeli forces quite some time to dispel the people, but with the encouragement of partisans and news broadcasts reporting that an interim government was soon to be established quelled the mob spirit of the people. They were tired of constant fear and oppression.

Angeles was in a state of complete anarchy as the military used gunfire in a desperate attempt to put down the rebellion. Riot Police had become de facto soldiers, and Police Officers were infantrymen fighting on the front lines as the first waves of State Infantry snuck into the city from the surrounding jungle. Flashes of explosions and gunfire lit the city long after the power plant was struck by a precision bomb.

Police Officers fired 9mm rounds at well equipped State Infantry soldiers, whose advanced combat suits turned the deadly lead into mere bruises on flesh. Their return fire was much more deadly, .50 cal machine gun fire ripping through Riot Squads APC's armor, massacring those held within. Heavy gunfire continued throughout the night, the brave militarist Filipino's entrenching themselves in downtown Angeles as mortar fire, snipers, and tanks opened fire on their positions. Their AT weapons and HMG's managed to paralyze several tanks and gun down several sections of State Infantry, and they held out for the night.

23:09

Manille was no more pleasant than the rest of the nation. Nationalist propaganda from Pagadian had encouraged upset Union leaders to organize heavy industry workers into advance special forces squads, derailing several military train and damaging the water purification plant. Hundreds more civilians, drawn up in a wave of violence, had taken to the streets with whatever weapons they could muster. Heavy police and army resistance managed to subdue the growing disconent in the populace for a while, but there was a growing number of Partisans arriving in secret. The Filipino military decided to establish roadblocks along all roads into or out of Manille, efectively creating a self-contained ghetto.

Marlon stood naked in the cold room with two of his comrades. They shook, fearing for their lives, drugged with strange hallucinogenic mushrooms grown in Xyrael. Two State Infantrymen stood in the room with SS-15's, pointed at the men as they stood against the wall. Marlon looked to his left, his fellow Filipino's head was covered with a black bag. On the table in front of him, another naked Filipino lay strapped to a cold, metal table.

Marlon was drenched with ice water, and he couldn't help but shiver as the air conditioning poured cold air onto him. He watched a man dressed in a black suit approach the man on the table. He looked to the man whose head was covered, then to Marlon, and he smiled. "Welcome to Internal Affairs gentlemen. I hear you're part of a rebel group which has been shamelessly murdering Filipino's." He paused for several moment before his brow furled in anger: "Race traitors. You will tell us where you get your supplies."

"I don't know," Marlon pleaded.

The Agent plunged a syringe into the subjects chest, injecting a hallucinogen into the patient. The flesh made a sickly sound as the needle penetrated an organ, and blood flowed out the tiny wound. "Oh, I believe you all know." He grabbed a small cotton swab and stuffed it into the patients mouth, making sure the man could not speak. "So, are you willing to tell me?"

The man simply shook in a convulsion, and the Agent walked to a cabinet and brought out a simple hammer. "Fine." The hammer slammed into the mans knees, the sounds of bones snapping echoed throughout the room and he continued to beat at them. He tossed the bloodied hammer to the sterile floor as the Filipino screamed in agony, the cruel air conditioning the only companion the poor man had. The agent reached for a taser, and placed the electrodes in the mans wounds. "Pain is so fleeting, so lovely. I hope you enjoy it." He pressed the trigger, sending electric joults into the mans wound, his muscles twisting in agony as they massaged the broken knee caps. The agent let go of the trigger, looking to Marlon. He shook his head, then turned back to the toolbox. He pulled out a nailgun and leaned over the wailing subject, whispering a payer into his ear before crucifying the man to the table with rusted nails. He pushed a button, hoisting the chair into an upright position, and the man proceeded to hang from the table in front of Marlon, who stood in horror as the holes in his hands extended under the weight of his body.

The agent let the chair fall back into a prone position. The victim struggled to cry out his information, but he could say nothing. The cotton swab was now soaked with blood, which was slowly drowning the man. The agent pulled out a scalpel and began to make an incision over the mans chest as he seized from the pain amplified by the hallucinogens. The blade cut off the mans nipple, then cut a hole in his chest. Another agent entered the room to assist with the procedure, and the Filipino man flatlined. The extra agent grabbed a buzz saw and cut through the rib cage, and the other agent massaged the heart until it was beating again. "Oh, poor thing, I won't let you die so easily, I promise."

A State Infantryman brought Marlon closer to the patient, to his head. He kicked his calves, forcing him to his knees before the agent. The agent grabbed the buzzsaw and pressed it to the subjects forehead. "Are you sure you don't know?"

Marlon opened his mouth to speak, but the butt of the shotgun slammed into the back of his head. The man before him had stopped screaming, but the life support showed that he was still alive. The agent activated the saw, and fragments of blood and bone splattered Marlons face and he cut through the skull. It took several minutes, coating his face entirely with blood and bone, and the top of the skull fell into his lap. Before him he saw the brain of a living man, the veins still pulsing feintly. The Infantryman behind him raised his shotgun, and bits of brain clung to Marlons nose as the head was blown away in the blast. Vomit spilled from his mouth and he curled down against the floor in the fetal position, horror filling his mind. The agent grabbed his hair, forcing his mouth against the vomit and blood and brain, forcing him to eat. Marlon refused, and the disgusted agent stood and walked to the other man whose head was covered.

"What do you know?" he asked the prisoner, who simply stood shaking in fear. The agent drew a blade and swiftly cut his throat from ear to ear, blood spilling to the floor in sheets. As the corpse hit the floor, the other agent drew his pistol and unloaded his clip into the body, which shook with every shot. The agent grabbed Marlon's hair and ripped him along the floor to the toolbox.

"What do you know?" the agent repeated. "I have a dozen more of your fellow in the next room, tell me what you know and you can go with God free of sin."

Marlon weeped openly, struggling to keep a hold on his sanity. "Bustos. South plains. Funded us, Bustians. It was orders--" a single lead slug penetrated the mans skull, and his body slipped to the ground.

"Burn their bodies, burn the evidence," the agent ordered, and the soldiers moved quickly to follow.

By the end of the fifth day Manille stood as the last bastion of a failing Militarist government, which was had begun seeking diplomatic paths for surrender, which would only be allowed unconditionally. The Jelsi had been expelled from Cotabato with little fanfare, the Irnotians contained around Talcoban, and hundreds of artillery peices aimed towards Bustian South Plains as Kalibo saw a large military installation constructed outside of it. A new provisional capital was established at Angeles with wild, enthusiastic support from the populace.

Mekkal had sent a foreign dignitary to meet with the interim head of state Rafael Alvarez, the favoured man of the Filipines and a closet Collaborationist with close ties to the State Partisans. Ambassador Xolchi met with Rafael at Angeles, and they discussed many things together, along with a small board of elected Filipino Representatives. From this conference came this treaty.
