1. I have three of these craft currently, and only one is in operation. Certain metals have been mined from Selene before any huge commercial boom, but you refused to document them. I consider the metals mined from Selene to be valid materials, not to mention that a meager two resources from a crown colony is crazy unrealistic and even tiny countries like Austria have way more resources than that.

2. The gold to protect us from radiation is coming from Myroria.

3. Natural gas heats it.

4. I'm planning to switch marble to uranium.

The moonbus stamped with the Myrorian coat of arms hovered down onto the landing pad after finishing the 90 minute travel to the mass driver. Looking out the windows of the moonbus, the mass driver seemed to go on for kilometers. The spacesuited Yale stepped out of the moonbus last.

"Well, this is it. Selene Mass Driver 3, or SMD-3. Built for heavy duty work, so it needed to be long. 15 kilometers long, in fact. Took months to make."

At the end near the landing pad was a tug with an NFSDC on it.

After the pre-flight checks were complete, the group strapped in, and morphine taken, NFSDC Cassiopeia was ready for liftoff. After what seemed like hours of being pushed back into the seats of the spacecraft, the tug lifted off and soon acheived orbit. After a 20 minute rotation to the opposite side of Selene (to stop the EMP blast from interfering with equipment at Yale Colony), the tug jettisoned its load and took a dive back to the surface. After it was far enough away, the NFSDC used it's rockets to adjust it's trajectory toward Orestes and fired a bomb. The bomb was shot out, and the explosion kicked back the protection plate. The Cassiopeia was on it's way to the greatest discovery of the millenium - and perhaps - the world.

Dr. Corona in his thin spacesuit stepped out shortly before Yale. He was, unlike the earlier astronauts using older spacesuits, very agile. He looked around. "Nice station." he said.

Laya Khoris was putting on her space suit helmet, but she first had some troubles with her hair to get it all below it. As she noticed that one of the scientists was looking at her, she winked with her left eye shortly.

"Are we there already? That was a really short flight."

OOC:
The "older spacesuits" are not meant to be used from you, only as comparison.

Inside the Navigation Station were the two pilots. Inside the Habitation Module were the other eight people, who were prepared to enter the Orestes Excursion Module and fly to the surface. In 100 days the Cassiopeia was orbiting around Orestes, compared to a journey that would take up to two years with any other nation's propulsion. When the ship was nearing the location of the ruins, the OEM was jettisoned from the aircraft, with the eight people in the habitation module aboard, toward the ground. It entered Orestes' thin atmosphere and used hover rockets to touch down safely approximately 100 meters from the edge of the ruins.

Methane ponds and lakes dotted the barren landscape. As the team approached the ruins, the towers loomed higher and higher on the horizon.

All the Feniexian scientists had put off their helmets except for Laya, who had a very sensitive nose (like almost all other High Ones) and just can´t stand the smell of Methane.
"Towers? Can this be...the buildings of some kind of...more or less intelligent beings?"

OOC: You'll need your helmets in such a thin atmosphere anyway. When the oceans dried up the atmosphere thinned.

IC:

"It could very well be; I doubt natural erosion could cause this. We already knew there was evidence of water previously on Orestes but...this is beyond comprehension...this is the greatest discovery of the century..." Yale said.

OOC: Thank you for correction.

IC:
"Yes...And I´m too being here. I´m frankly exited about this. And, if we really find signs of former life here, then we finally proved that we´re not alone. However....what will you do, when we find for what we searched?" Laya asked.

"Call for the construction of a base and the arrival of rovers and moonbuses. We need to be careful when we reveal it to the public; there will always be conspiracy theorists who will try to say we faked it, so we need the best evidence that it exists."

Laya nodded. "I´ll inform our government. They´ll provide us with great fundings and supportments."

"Very well."

OOC: End thread. I'll make one later tonight that takes place about 18 months from the landing, when a Feniexian-Myrorian base has been established.
