The entire airfield roar into a war cheer that resonated into the air. Every "Flying Dagger" squadron was assemble here in a remote airfield near Ni Yai, for the biggest air operation in Loyalist history. For many, it will be their last mission. They, along with volunteer units from all over the Republic, will take part in Operation Massive Backlash. This was not a matter of politics, but pride and national identity.

All over the Loyalist landscape, ballistic missiles launched out from their silos and mobile launchers. It was a spectacular sight, the streaks and trail of several hundred rockets booming into the air. A few citizens that ignored the evacuation order aimed their cameras to the sky, taking a snapshot of history in the making.

The massive launch consisted of thirty-seven DF-31s, twenty-eight DF-21s, fifty-six DF-15s, sixty-five Fateh-110s.

The DF-31s and DF-21s fell onto the major cities and towns(only Benashan, Astig, Lakadula, and Ker'va were spare). Their nuclear warheads completely levels the downtown and suburb areas, no doubt incinerating millions of Saletsians. This was the price to pay for incurring the wrath of the Republic.

The DF-15 medium range nuclear missiles were aimed at pre-sighted military bases and installations in south Saletsia. Massive fireballs shot into the air, than formed into the signature mushroom clouds. The proud strength of the Saletsian Army, now burnt to ashes by the divine fires of Heaven.

Conventional tipped Fateh-110 high precision missiles targeted the S-400 fixed border SAM sites. Remaining nuclear-tipped missiles were aim in a line pattern, 20km within the Saletsian-Loyalist border, forming choke pockets of radioactive wastelands.

In Bandana, DF-21s exploded around the district area of the capital, while the main city limits were left untouched. This will completely cut off the Saletsian capital with the rest of the country.

Nuclear explosion blanketed Saletsia for half an hour. HOLA estimated that a least 300 million people had die in the initial blast, with another half a billion dying of radiation effects within the next month. No doubt, the Saletsian will respond, but they didn't care. They thought they could bully the PRL with their brute might, not taking in consideration the consequences it will lead to. This was the ultimate result of their mistake. They will not be shown mercy, the ultimate form of justice will be serve!

"All squadrons online, proceeding to checkpoint..."

A hundred J-17Cs, twenty LB-2 Flame Devils and seventy C-10E Kfirs flew in narrow formation as they flew through the mountain regions of southeast Saletsia. They were loaded with bunker busting and cluster munitions, all meant to fall on the heads of Saletsian bastards. The Fateh-110s took out most of the S-400 SAM sites nearby, but there was still danger from the surviving long range Triumphs. A surviving Loyalist imagery satellite will scout up the rest of their flight path. This will be dangerous mission, so they will be cruising at supersonic speed the entire leg of the journey.

The formation had to fight off seven encounters with surviving Saletsian SAMs. A total of thirty-one aircraft were lost before they made it to their targets.

"Come one boys! We need to clear the road for the Army!"

The LB-2 Fire Devils dropped cluster munitions onto the border defenses, HE bomblets scatter and explode over the ground and targets. The C-10Es made precision strikes on Saletsian armor units and bunkers. They faced heavy AA fire from the Saletsian, which took down a number of Loyalist aircraft. No one ejected, not even as their tail burned and they struggle to take down the more agile Saletsian Su-35s. Only twenty-eight fighters made it back to base.

Following their air strikes, 300 000 Army personnel, 200 Hinds, and 500 000 NMO militants blitzed into Saletsia through the mountain roads cleared by the LAA. They striked hard into the Saletsian defenses. The spearhead was led by 800 Challenger 2s with Kontak RA, following a by IMP-1s armed with anti-air and anti-tank weapons. Buk TELRAs followed in the rear to provide SAM support. The militia units lagged in the reserves, escorting S-300PMU2s which set up periodically on the roads.

They relied on their speed and hardline training, focusing on quickly taking out military depots and bases before they could organize a counterattack. By morning, they were five miles from Ker'va.

“Enemy tank sighted! We got a Saletsian platoon up ahead!”

“We need to take this SAM site in ten minutes!”

Air support flew from Ni Yai, bombing strategic target and support the blitz of the Loyalist spearhead. Militia reserves in the rear fed the assault, which continue at a lightning pace.

In Na Sui that night, a similar operation took place against the Saletsian fleet. This time, it was a hundred JF-17Cs armed with nuclear cruise missiles. Saletsian carrier fighters were kept occupied by Loyalist MiG-29OVTs and shore SAMs, while the Dragon Hawks made a dash for fleet ships. At 80 km, two hundred C-802s tipped with 50 kiloton warheads shot across the surface of the water just as the Saletsian air defense took down the JF-17Cs. CWIS systems shot across the water, cannon rounds shredding cruise missiles as they closed. A total of twenty C-802s made it through to their proximity range, their warhead detonating and blowing the fleet to charred hulks of metal.

At the sight of ballistic missiles launched by PRL and the Saletsian defense systems all being at maximum alert - supported by Xyraelite forces, a number of Loyalist missiles had been intercepted and destroyed within Loyalist territory causing damage there.
The greater cities however have been hit by some missiles killing hundreds of thousands of civilians and some security personnel. Arrow and S-400 anti-ballistic missiles and mobile units continued destroying enemy missiles.

Meanwhile in the Government's headquarters:
"Chancellor they have decided to attack and prove to us and the world their aggressive intentions after all."
"Perfect move, expected and really fitting to the scenario. Send in cleaning forces and have the civilians helped. Let the Loyalists enter the borders...their expected Blitzkrieg will end in a mine-field."
The general laughed: "Seems as the beginning of the shining Empire has begun."

The generality gave more orders making the artillery positions fire its assets on the advancing Loyalists.
Meanwhile the Saletsian naval vessels posed a blockade on all Loyalist ships firing at every ship that did not follow the warnings and advise to turn back. Delta IV submarines fired their ballistic missiles that gathered information on further targets while observing the Loyalist attack.

The Saletsian Air-Force also got ready to attack the advancing forces and charged all Loyaist jets and bombers destroying them with their warheads. The Loyalist army would meet its total destruction on foreign soil. Meanwhile the tanks with ABC protection scrambled.

After the attacks on the Southern Saletsian areas affected the Xyraelite forces, they do retaliated with their aerial assets and defense systems bringing down most of the advancing Loyalist forces and the missiles.
Meanwhile the extra fleet in Barakarin was already on its way to meet with the Western fleet.

The Imperial Government of Saletsia condemns the planned and deliberate attack of the People's Republic of Loyalist against innocent civilians in the most crowded cities. These planned attacks however shows the world that our Southern neighbor has certainly not been interested in peace. All its actions so far prove the Saletsian-Xyraelite coalition right.

The Saletsian Navy imposes a total maritime blockade against the People's Republic of Loyalist. Being protected by the most modern AEGIS vesselns and Xyraelite-made air-defense ships along with a number of fighters coming from air-craft carriers and the mainland, the attacking force of the Loyalist air-Force did not pose any serious threat.

"Stand bye!" Cried the loadmaster and they stood up and formed a line. "Red light!" And they hooked there static lines onto the woven metal strap above their heads. "When we drop, Keep your fucking heads up, spot their targets as you land! We're going for the police station!, second platoon are going for the barrakcs, and third for the post office!" Suddenly an immense flash shot in from the windows. A ballistic missile had just wiped a city from the map. "Jesus christ, the loyalists know we're dropping here dont they?" asked a man from the line. "Of course they fucking do, now get ready!" Cried the loadmaster as the elevator door at the rear started to open. A green bulb shone on and a slap on on the back shot the first man out, quickly followed by the second, then third then fourth and on. The air was cold, the wind fast as they dropped, waiting for the the strain of the chute opening, closing his eyes he counted "one, one thousand. two, one thousand. three, one thousand!" then looked up, it had opened perfectly! but the ground was approaching fast, he furled his chute, and he slowed up, before slamming into the ground. He stood, his platoon forming up to charge the police station, He picked up his rifle, and cocked it! "Dont just stand there looking fucking pretty, we've got a bastard job to do, get over here!" his platoon sergeant screamed...

In order to finally cripple Loyalist defense systems, U-boat commandants of all Delta IV submarines ordered the launch of its nuclear missiles aiming at the targets observed during the Loyalist attacks.
Furthermore mainland Saletsian silos near Xyarel unleashed a far greater amount of ballistic missiles adding to the attacks of all mobile Agni III IRBMs. The People#s Republic of Loyalist was supposed to be crippled and all its aerial assets destroyed for good.

On the other parts of the borders the SBL along with border forces and their defense systems engaged the incoming UFM transport planes while Saletsian Gripens with Su-37 fighters shot a transporter down after the other.
Tank divisions and troopers were ready to roll in after unleashing a massive artillery attack.

Noting that their advance has slow, the Loyalist forces were order to retreat to UFM as soon as possible. Once they were out of sight, a small nuclear payload was dropped to cover their escape. Other surviving units retreated to UFM as well, including LAA aircraft in Mei and Lai.

Ten MIRV Peacemakers launched from their silos, heading for Saletsia. Three were aimed into the heart of Bandana. The rest targeted the cities of Benashan and Lakadula and a few other urban areas. At alititude, the warheads scatter dropped ten 300 kilton warheads, along with countermeasures and decoys to fool Saletsian S-400s and Arrows.

Across the northern districts of PRL, stand-alone nuclear warheads exploded across the border, creating a nuclear trench line. The major cities were not spare either. Two megaton bombs exploded in the heart of northern major cities, regardless of whether there were citizens still housed up in the area. Military installations were destroyed as well with high explosives. They will leave nothing for the Saletsians to conquer, and will maximize the damage done to Saletsia as the prevailing winds blow the radioactive air into Saletsia. All shall perish...

Saletsian forces were suprised by the decision of the Loyalist government to destroy its entire nation killing most of its civilians and military personnel alike.
ABC troopers in specially protected tanks crossed the borders to search for survivors - especially foreigners that had not left the Republic on time.

Meanwhile remaining Saletsian forces now turned on the Union of Free Men that decided to launch an attack against the Empire.

The use of first strike nuclear capabilities by PRL against our southern comrades has shown us
that the communists of the world intend to bring it down with them. They have not disarmed
themselves, and are proving that they intend to see a global revolution through. We hereby ask
that any and all states wishing to defend themselves declare war on the UASS and the UASS ally
PRL, and use the full extent of their powers to crush this Red Tide.

We have authorized the use of nuclear force to counter the threat of southern communists within
UFM and PRL. Full mobilization and activation of nuclear forces will include the launching of 25 RS-24
nuclear missiles, totalling 240 10kt nuclear warheads, whose capacity is sufficient enough to level their
respective nations.

We have noted that PRL has attempted or succeeded in the assassination of a global leader by
authorizing the use of nuclear force. Our response is deemed necessary to defend the world.

Within Xyrael mobile launchers distributed secretly throughout the dense jungles, away from the prying eyes of space, readied their payloads. There was no need for two keys, there was no need for a vote. Premier Mekkal just did what he had to do. The missiles aimed skyward, they would unleash hell on the red bastards. The communists had suppressed the nationalists for decades, now was the time for the ultimate revenge.

Twenty five missiles launched, each one carrying large numbers of independently targettable warheads, and as they approached their destination each warhead was assigned a different target, effectively carpet bombing all areas deemed a threat, including civilian population centers. The State knew the communists would not shy from a full draft, and as such people were deemed a resource of war, and were annihilated.

There was a sudden rush of water as the UFM nuclear fleet of Trafalgar class submarines began its launch of mixed Polaris and Trident nuclear weapons. There were a mere 5 miles off the coast of Eastern Saletsia, leaving not a lot of time for the missiles to be intercepted. At the same time in the streets of the glorious union the 4 minute warning was sounding, the people were running for the fall-out shelters, and preparing for the worst. It was expected. All Saletsian major centres of population had been targetted. The invasion force looked on in horror as the cities they'd been told to target became targets for weapons of mass destruction. They;d been told to halt, and then move in when the bombs had gone off.

The small coastal line of the UFM was carpet bombed by conventional artillery systems and by the SAF.
