First histories of the Shining Empire of Easteros
« on: August 20, 2007, 05:38:37 PM »
PARTIAL HISTORY OF EASTEROS

the shining empire of easteros, also known as the empire of the rising sun, once covered the entirety of the continent which they named Easteros. this empire ruled there for over five hundred years with much prosperity under the imperial family founded by the man named Uichi Ryu. until a young philosopher went about the continent spreading his theories of self determination and evolution. these theories spread throughout Easteros with a blade and a selfish set of new govornments. hence the fractioning of the once mighty empire. of these assorted groups each took with them the laws and bits of culture that they enjoyed most. this lead to many differing ideaologies amongst the Eastian peoples.

History of Terrangar: the land that present day Terrengar sits upon was once the site of the followers of Ah Bolom Tzacab. hence the area was full of agricultural marvels. the very mountains themselves were cut into temples and self irrigating fields. where the desert is today was once a fertile land where the people, who now inhabit terrangar, had many lush farms growing enough food to feed most of the empire of Easteros. this all came to an abrupt end when it became very dry in the area for a span of seven years. at the end of the seven years lightning struck the now dried and dead farmland forever removing its fertility from Taijitu. the natives laid blame on the Emperess of the time not paying enough tribute to Ah Bolom Tzacab. this was also the same time that many of the riots began due to the young philosopher and his new believers. times were bad for Easteros. it is said that on the day the emperess' head was put on display that it finaly rined again in the land of Terrangar, the mountain farms came back to life but the people were not the same. they no longer trusted the other peoples of Easteros. they fortified themselves and many lived peaceful lives as farming priests but many others were being forced into military service. the armies of terrangar expanded theirland from the mountains that housed their temples and gardens into the jungle away from the desert land that had once been their pride....

History of Xyrael: The rise of the Xyraelites parallels the downfall of the great Easteros Empire. The Xyraelites were a small tribe of fanatical zealots utterly faithfal to a religious sect forbidden by the sacred Empire. The Xyraelites considered the rest of Easteros to be shrouded in the shadows of darkness, ignorance, and doubt, and launched great crusades against their peninsula's. The fanatical Xyraelites would not relent even as rebellion crippled the Empires armies, preventing them from retaliating. Thousands of Eastians who would not repent for the bastard faiths and erroneous were slaughtered by the blade. Hundreds of families were lost forever. As the Xyraelites encountered the Saletsians to their south, a massive war ensued. The Prophetess denounced their racial brothers as blind followers of an damned path, and the first great Jihad commenced to reclaim Easteros. It resulted in complete failure, the Xyraeli armies were crushed by Saletsian power, and an uneasy truce settled between the two nations. The northern peninsula was taken through genocide. Families of non-Xyraelites were brought into camps and left to die, and the conquest was swift. But the crusaders pitied their enemies, and as they pushed their borders and reached the lands of Uichi Ryu, they forfeited their great crusade and made a pilgrimage to Carcossa. From there, word of the downfall of the Empire reached the Prophetess, and she declared the crusade to be over, that Easteros had now been set on it's own path.

I've always RPed the Pelagian Empire owning a bit of the south part of Easteros. Would it be acceptable if you could include that?

Here is a basic list of the Pelagian Empire's territories:

What is now Myroria
What was Baltija, is now Canada-Quebec, New Delfos, Tacolicious
The far Southwest of Eluvatar, as approved by him
The DSA and what is now Leitzembourg (The DSA was lost to the Inglish Empire when Pelagis fell in 1733. We all know what happened then)
What is now "Eluvataran Colonization".

Yeah, I would. I've always kind of wanted the Pelagian Empire being second only to the Inglish Empire in influence on nation's history and culture.
