STATEMENT FROM THE IMPERIAL FAMILY

As of today, February 5, 2012, there exists a STATE OF WAR between Myroria and the following nations:

-Delfos
-Collosea

In addition, we declare a STATE OF NEUTRAL DIPLOMATIC REJECTION with the following nations:

-Validus
-Canada

If the latter do not attack Myrorian property, a state of neutrality will exist between these nations and Myroria for the duration of the war.

For a state of war to be lifted from Delfos and Collosea, the following demands must be met:

-Release Myrorian prisoners
-500,000 of the respective nation's currency as a prize.

Only under these conditions will the state of war be lifted.

SPECIAL WORD TO MYRORIANS IN COLLOSEA AND DELFIA - COLLOSEAN MYRORIANS, DO NOT TURN YOURSELF IN. YOU WILL RECEIVE ASYLUM IN MYRORIA.

DELFIAN MYRORIANS - FLEE TO MYRORIA. THOSE WHO REMAIN WILL INHERIT THE COUNTRY AFTER OUR INEVITABLE CONQUEST. HAIL MYRORIA, LONG LIVE THE EMPEURER.

Quote
MYRORIANS! NOW IS THE TIME!

Myroria's major recession will retreat like the Delfians from our cities! Join the war effort! Ration food! Collect grease! Protect our boys on the front line! They fight for your continued freedom from IPO hypocrisy!

Does my Great House support this war?

Does it matter? Where do your loyalties lie first, to political groups or to your fatherland? Every Great House, even Vrotrith, supports this war of defense! Pick up your guns! The Delfian soldiers might know how to use them, but the Delfians themselves sure as hell don't! If you see a Delfian support, if you see a Delfian steal, if you see a Delfian go into your land, don't be afraid! They're deer!

An n'wah is a s'wit, and a s'wit is an n'wah, all the way through! First it's Myroria, then it's our Christstani brothers, and our Ryazanian sons! The last bastions of real freedom - of classical freedom, exist here on Pelagea! Don't let the bleeding hearts take your guns! They will pry them from Myroria's cold, dead hands.

The king is in Fort Huygens!

The Empeurer is our leader! He needs to be safe so that this war of freedom can still be fought! He might be underground, but he is not oblivious! If he is found, he is in just as much danger as you! The Empeurer is, and has always been, a citizen! This monarchy thrives on equality, and he is subject to the same laws - the same fears - the same DANGERS as you!

And then, there lie the Delfians and Colloseans. Waiting to force democracy upon you, FORCE you to join the "IPO". We will not take it! We will fight until the death!

Myrorians, what is our motto?

LIVE FREE OR DIE! DEATH IS NOT THE WORST OF ALL EVILS!
"I assure you -- I will be quite content to be a mere mortal again, dedicated to my own amusements."

Fort Virtue, County Traval

Fort Virtue was one of the few concrete buildings in County Traval; though Novrith had moved from the Myrorian snow into the grey February, Fort Virtue still had snow banks all around its walls.

Inside the structure, in the "courtyard" (It was called the courtyard, even though the grass was brown and dead and it was hardly a beautiful place), groups of men were training. Outside the outer walls were three helicopters preparing to take them into clear Setiwiktran territory before moving into their target. It would be a long haul, because trying to blow up any Delfian buildings through air was entirely ridiculous; Maurice - who was stationed at Fort Huygens a classified amount of kilometers away - had instead chosen to rely on the greatest soldiers Myroria had to offer - the all-Pelagian Virtue Special Forces Platoon. The Pelagians were the fiercest people in Myroria, and foreigners were just lucky they didn't inherit the xenophobia of their conquerers.

A wooden structure had been built in the corner of the courtyard, meant to represent one of the many rooms in any Delfian structure. A group was being trained to clear the room of the targets and place satchels full of gunpowder (High explosive would blow up the room, obviously) to train for the plastic explosives the men - and only men - would have on a real mission.

The rest were mainly bayoneting or knifing strung-up pigs - A good analog for a human, and a great one for an enemy. It was violent, but the Men and Women against Animal Cruelty (MWAAC) were a class C terrorist organization, and they couldn't do a damn thing about it.

Among the men bayoneting the pigs was a 19 year old pure-bred Pelagian named Sirius Verus. He was as bright as the star he was named after, and seemed to almost feel bad for the already dead pigs. He knew explosives inside and out, and every hissing of the gunpowder fire got him pumped up for his turn.

And now it was his turn, as the previous group had left the room. He had his named called, and so he entered, knowing the structural weaknesses of every structure - especially this one. Within a couple of minutes, the group had placed one satchel where directed, and re-entered to place another one where they thought one should be.

Sirius had gotten four other people to place their satchels where he told them, and he had to spend the rest of the night rebuilding the room.

After a few sucessfull missions for the Inglo-Scotians, the 13th Legion had established themselves as a name in the mercenary trade. So far, they had been lucky and skillfull enough to avoid casualties, but this new mission, for a new employer might proove not so easy.
The 14 of them were preparing their gear, and from the payment they had recived from the Inglo-Scotians, they had been able to re-fuel their armours with hydrogen peroxide.
They were sitting outside a Myrorian military installation, their heavier gear packed in crates on wheels, waiting for their contact to arrive and give them a more thourough briefing and access to the promised training facilities now that the actual deal had been sealed. They also expected their contact to introduce them to the Myrorian troops that would be committed to the main tasks of the operation they this far knew very little about except that it payed good, very, very good infact.

"Commander? Commander?" yelled a faceless servant-soldier running through the upper halls of the fort.

"I'm in here!"

The soldier arrived in the officer's lounge, after the formalities, he approached the commander of the fort, Falco Trebonius.

"Sire, I've been informed by security forces that several men with crates have arrived outside the gate. They're easy to spot; I've never seen anything quite like it. You better see yourself, after they're incarcerated."

"Yes. Wait, no. Allow them in, I believe we've been expecting them. In fact - they're right on time." said the commander, nodding. "I'll be down momentarily. I must fetch something from my quarters."

Trebonius unlocked a small wooden chest at the foot of his bed. He grabbed a suitcase in one hand, and threw the only other content - a pistol - onto his bed before changing into the slightly more formal (But still drab, mind you) coat for greeting dignitaries. The last one - oversaturated, stuffy, and ornate - was for nobles and Field Marshalls. By the time he opened the solid wood doors into the "courtyard", the men were already there. He shook a firm - very firm - handshake with whoever happened to be closest and ushered them inside, looking around for particularly dark-skinned people.

"I like to call this my conference room, what with the shelves and silver and...furniture. Please, take a seat, we've got much to discuss.

Gentlemen, we've hired you for a very important reason. We're at war. Collosea's taken our people hostage, and Delfos has done nothing - no talks, no actions - to stop these heinious violations of human rights. As far as we're concerned, they're just as responsible as Collosea. So, here's what we're paying you for. These men, the Pelagians out in the courtyard, are being sent to western Setiwiktra to smuggle themselves into Delfos. It's closer, and poses more of a threat than Collosea. They're just gonna cripple some buildings, maybe assassinate some leaders, and the war with them'll be over in a couple of weeks, two months at the most. But if we're to send them to Delfos, we need some kind of action against Collosea. Before I go further, I should ask, do you have special ops training?"

"Training and experience sir, both special and black ops. we won't dissapoint you." replied colonel Fredriksson, the leader of the unit. His soldiers and comrades through many years of serving in the royal guard, from the time the old emperor was assassinated, through the bitter civil-war that followed and then rallying with the princess to turn the tide of that civil war to restoration only to be betrayed and forced to leave as the bitch left nothing but a radioactive wasteland behind. Now they were free from her, free to serve themselves first, and they wouldn't spoil that by doing a bad job. It was only about now that Trebonius noticed that not all of the mercs were men. Of the 14 of them that sat around the table, at least three were women, and wearing some sort of officer's chevrons to boot! They didn't act anything like Myrorian females though, and they had the battle-scars to prove it, just like the male mercs.

In Fort Huygens, Maurice, the rest of the Imperial Family, and the leaders of the Great Houses were sitting around a large table inside a dark room in the above-ground facilities. On a counter were pepperoni, cheese, and psilocybin (Trip responsibly: Always designate a driver!) pizzas alongside assorted sodas and alcohols. "Don't eat until after the meeting", warned Maurice to everyone coming in. Of course, none could come in at the same time, which annoyed him greatly because that meant he had to say it 8 times. Eventually everyone quieted down and began the meeting, but Ælar kept glancing at the counter. He was Great House Vrotrith, thought Maurice, and no hippie could be trusted around psilocybin pizza.

"So," began Maurice. "The mercenaries have arrived at Fort Virtue, and we've gained permission from Setiwiktra to land in the west. I figured it would be prudent to inform you that at midnight tonight, the force will set off to land at Setiwiktra and enter Delfos soon after. Their orders are to incapacitate Delfian buildings to lower morale in preparation for the coming army. To be quite honest though, I doubt the Delfian invasion will last long enough to facilitate the main force entering the country. However, it's really Collosea we need to worry about. The IAEIO's intelligence says that Collosea isn't being too kind to their detainees. It's nothing on the line of Julius Belsen or Baltija's camps, but it's somewhat worrying. We need to get in there soon, but Delfos poses a thread because of their proximity. So, our main point is that we need to get Delfos out of the picture early. I assume the Great Houses still vote 3-0 for the war?"

"Aye."

"Yes."

"Mmm."

"Good. The plan will go through tonight. Let's eat."

After familiarizing themselves with the objectives and materials they had been provided with for a few days, the 13th Legion left Myroria on a common high-seas trawler under a neutral flag.

Like Xyrael said, this is covert ops. Maybe once we actually start doing stuff and it's more obvious it'll make sense, but right now I'm afraid I'm going to have to ignore it. Temporarily, at least.

I did, but I got sort of a feeling that you knew I was using covert ops, etc. If that's the wrong impression, go ahead and say so.

Of course not, but right now all we've done is training and a meeting with the mercenaries. Whatever, I retract my IGNORE, yes, you can declare war on me when I invade.
