The new port city of Julukin Marityu, which means Ocean's Gem, was already a heavily bustling city. Many shops and businesses had already opened, drawn to the city by the new fruitful trade via the sea. Bars, food shops, goods, clothing, accounting, scribes, and others all looking for quick and generous profits.
Most of the businesses were opened by people from the homeland of Algerianbania, as many of the natives of the Strip Land were still felt that their leader had cheated them out of their honor, pride, and dignity over a few gems. These natives did not feel the need to help the "panda-men" to strengthen their country. There were even a few underground groups that thought that rebellion was necessary, but these ideas were quickly shut out, as many of the natives still feared the "black and white giant from hell", and did not have the manpower or technology to withstand them.
If it was not for the pandas, the people would have rebelled. In fact, the Algerianbanians would have never probably taken the land, as they had no air force or navy, and while they did have more men than the people of the Strip Lands, they did not know the area as well as well as the natives. By using simple kit an run tactics, the "Strip People" would have won the fight. That and if their leader hadn't been green and given in to vanity and greed.
Even so, there were a few riots that occurred, especially in the naval city of Tyuo Refery, "Swimming Guns". Within the first 3 months of settlement in the area, 4 ship yards had been molotoved, and 14 people killed, 11 of which rioters. These riots had started out peaceful, but due to some harsh language, the explosives had been drawn and thrown.
Though some of the natives of the Strip Land felt rebellious, about 88% of them felt at least discontent at this new arrangement. Many still brooded with the knowledge that they had so easily surrendered, been made to look like a poor, weak dog, whose master had left him out in the rain. Though they felt unhappy, this unhappiness was leveled out by the fact that the Algerianbanians had brought a new, greater economy to the region, especially in Julukin Marityu. Some even were happy with their new wealth.
