Title: A Banquet of Kings: Open to nation's of the PI and those seeking alliance.

The Imperial Banquet Hall

A letter has gone out to all nations of the Pax Imperium and an international announcement has been made declaring the start of this banquet. It is open to all allied to Christstan or those who wish to be. Many of Christstan's influential and powerful people are in attendance including all top military leaders and many of Christstan's nobility. The banquet is to allow other nations to enjoy the splendor of Christstan and meet the Royals and the powerful of the nation. This banquet is as much about international relations as it is about relaxation and pleasure. The dress is very formal and many will be trying to outdo another with more impressive style and entrance. The main event however is to introduce Christstan's Prince and Princess to the world. Both are unwed and Christstan wishes to see this corrected and draw Christstan nearer to allies. Feel free to make talk with anyone over treaties, alliances and affairs of state.

The banquet will last several days with any honored guests from nations coming will be given rooms and accommodations inside the Palace and surrounding areas.

Emma was wearing a beige sundress with a straw hat. These were just more examples of the "casual formalwear" fad in Myroria, which was paradoxically less formal than casualwear, which was generally Victorian and ornate.

The Kaiser was dressed in his customary uniform and the Kaiserin was dressed in a long beautiful silk dress. They smiled. Paul and Selene walked up to the Meneldur and shook his hand. Paul nodded at the Barakarin diplomat, but they were really looking forward to see the Emperor and his family. They took their seats next to the Myrorians.

We would be honored to welcome the Queen of Quebec. Proper accomidations will be made.

As the various parties stream in, each is checked in and out by what seems to be an endless stream of gray and black clad soldiers. Each was greeted politely and in their own tounge, Christstan had taken the initative to reasearch formal greetings from each of the represented nations. A particular officer made sure he saw and greeted everyone, it was clear by his uniform that he was a man of high standing. He was Oberst (Colonel) Ludwig Manfred, his job was to oversee the security of all of Christstan's Imperial buildings, of which there were many. Since such a major event was transpiring here, he would be in attendance personally to make sure everything went smoothly.

As the parties were seated, fine dining from Christstan was produced. First it would start out as light snacks and appetizers, later it would move on to the fist course. While they waited for the grand entrance of the Imperial family, various government officials greeted each guest and made small talk. These foreign guests were few as most in attendance were from Christstan, but the foreigners were given the best seats and were served first. Christstan would spare no effort to make these guests feel very honored and important. The Canadian and Myorian Emperors were actually saluted several times outside by passing guards and the Oberst who greeted him.

After some time and much small talk, and it was assumed most of the guests had arrived, a loudspeaker like that used at the beginnings of plays and special events sounded and a man in a heavy German accent spoke first in English then in German "Ladies and Gentlemen, Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, honored guests, geehrte Gäste, it is my pleasure to present *Trumpets and Music of much grandeur Play loudly* Theee Imperial Family! ist es mein Vergnügen, die Kaiserliche Familie zu überreichen!"

The Silk red curtains of the main hall pull to the sides as four people emerge and walk to the edge of the stage. From left to right was a young woman in her early twenties dressed in a white silk gown with matching gloves that went to her elbows, her hair was done up and she wore a tiara and a golden brest star that indicated her Imperial status; escorting her with interlocking elbows was a stern looking man in his late 50's dressed in a highly decorated Imperial Uniform. He was flanked by an older woman in her mid 40's dressed in similar dress to that of the younger woman with the exception of a slightly larger tiara and a second large golden breast star indicating her Empress Status and the various titles that go along with it, she was flanked by a handsome man in his mid 20's also wearing an Imperial Uniform, his however was of a more blueish hue, indicating his branch of service as the Imperial Luftwaffe.

"May we all rise for these Imperial Family." After all had stood, the announcer resumed "On the left side of the stage we have Princess Anna, escorting her is her father, our hero, Emperor Heindrick von Weiger" he stopped for all those from Chroststan were wildly applauding at the very mention of their emperor's name. After a few moments he cut the crowd off and continued "Then we have our lovely Empress, Empress Anna. Lastly, to the right of the stage, in the well deserved uniform of a Major of the Imperial Luftwaffe, Prince Frederick von Weiger!" Theirwas another long round of cheering as he finished his sentence. The Imperial family was adored by all of Christstan. The Emperor had a very strong cult of personality built into every aspect of the nation.

The Emperor took the microphone handed to him and he addressed the crowd "Welcome to Ruftstein Palace, this place is like a second home to me. Whenever I am here I am captivated by the beauty of the surrounding land scape and the fine architecture. I say this because I want you all to know that I have brought you to the best spot in Christstan for an occasion such as this. We have gathered here at the start of this very important event on a landmark in the history of our nation. Yes, it is quite odd how so many monumental events would happen so near one another... First off I wish to toast to the Thirtieth Birthday of our Glorious Empire!" This was followed by a round of 'here here's'. "Then I will procede to announce something every father is proud to announce in terms of his daughter. Princess Anna shall be wed!" another round of cheers and huzzah's was heard. "I have chosen this, her 22nd birthday to announce her marriage to Emperor Meneldur of Myoria! Also, I would like to introduce you to my son, he is the best pilot in the Luftwaffe, I have great expectations from him. He is unwed and is in need of a match, so all you father's out their think hard about paring your daughter with such a man as this... Thank you all and let us enjoy this first day of festivities in celebration of Empire Day!!"

He left the stage and as he left, the entire crowd applauded until he had left the stage and he was surged by waves of people wishing to shake his hand and meet him. He of course did so in his friendly manner until he had made his way over to the nearest tables of Foreign diplomats, which was Canada, Myoria, and Barakarin. "Greetings friends and allies, it is a please to finally meet those behind the flags and ambassadors of my allies and future allies. I am sure you all heard the little introduction to my family up there. here they are." The members of the royal family went around shaking the hands of the various people present.

Princess Anna had left to go talk with Meneldur, they had to get to know each other some time. He also so his son talking with the Queen of Quebec, this was turning about better than he would have expected. The Empress was talking with the Kaiserin in between her responses to the others. The Emperor went to shake the Kaiser's hand and the Ambassador's and said to the Emperor of Canada "Welcome, you are like a friend to me. I congratulate you on your recently signed treaty in Aradan Union. The power of your regions grows quite rapidly... though I understand you are engaged in a hard fought battle near your homeland. Do not hesitate to request my aid, I am trying to give my troops as much combat experience as possible while aiding my allies at the same time."

He was tall, with a neat beard and had large, thick black glasses perched on a crooked nose. He maintained a plain but smart grey suit, and in his left hand a battered suitcase. He gave an air of ruggedness, but also charm. Upon examining the company he would be in, he edged towards the Emperor of Christstan and held out his hand, "Hello. My name is Henry Augustus, I'm the ambassador for the Parliamentary Republic of Cairney. However, you may speak to me as you would the Empire of Dysanii, as although I am not here in an official government capacity, as soon as the imperial government of Dysanii falls I will hold a formal office in our new republic, and you will deal with matters in that system. I am sorry for my unannounced presence and lateness." He shook the hand of the Emperor loosely, while at the same time pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose.

It's the war on my colony of Nerubia that is going wrong. In the moment that we had defeated the natives, they suddenly reappeared with new weapons. And they keep getting new weapons. I would personally like to know who is supplying the insurgents with weapons, because that in itself would be considered a declaration of war. I would like some of your soldiers to come and help in Nerubia. Also, if your soldiers need experience, perhaps we can make an officer exchange program." He looked over to the crown prince and Jordan. "My sister seems to be fascinated by your son. I haven't seen her this happy for a long time."

The Princess looked at his hand and smiled and then did a curtsy. Women did not shake hands in Christstan. She looked at him, "Yes it does look that way. Don't worry I am not all that bad."

Dysanii -

The Emperor was puzzled on what to say at first. He was being contacted by rebels wishing to overthrow an Empire and form a republic. That would not be good on his record and stance in the Pax Imperium. He did not wish to say no either. "Very well then, I shall treat you as such."

The Emperor listened closes as the Kaiser spoke when the Emperor turned to him after greeting the Dysanii rebel. He nodded, "For such a threat, I will grant you whatever resources I have to spare. My troops are finely trained my friend, I have officers who have seen hard fought wars. Despite all we have trained and drilled them, nothing makes a solider finer than real combat experience. Your war in Nerubia sounds like a pressing matter that I will attend to shortly. Though an exchange program maybe valuable, we could form a very tight military treaty allowing for free flow of information and technology between our forces. Though in Neruiba, whoever is supplying the rebels is clearly declaring war on you and as per our Treaty in the Pax Imperium, that is a declaration of war against all of us and I will treat is as such."

His first urge was to call over his minister of defense but remembered where he was and thought that needed to be discussed at another time.

The Emperor looked over to the two talking and then back to the kaiser "Perhaps, it is time for another royal marriage? Of course that would mean transferring territorial claim to Quebec, or at least we jointly watch over it. Though let me not get ahead of myself, let us see if they would be willing first hmm?"

Her black hair was tied back into a bun decorated with traditional hair clips. Her bodyguards were garbed in high end silk blouse and black dress pants.

The Loyalist guest went to greet the other patrons of the banquet, complementing the others of their outfits and style while sipping on the drinks the servants lorry to her.

With such advances in technology and human rights, little can be gained from maintaining an empire; corporate and political influence are perhaps stronger than military force ever could." He paused, careful not to show any disrespect, "Of course, this ideology is being implemented in our state for reasons that may not pertain to your own nation. Our republic still recognizes aspects of empire, but is more willing to incorporate these into a 21st century context. The republic will only be stronger than the empire, but through a more effective means... an invisible empire, if you like, controlled through corporate and political power." He waited for the Emperor to digest this before continuing, "Our republic still recognises imperial rule, however, which is why is feels that it should represent itself to the aspiring empires in Taijitu. Our current government no longer has support of the people, and supporters of the republic are not so much rebels, simple imperial terminology itself, but merely a fairer representation of the state of Dysanii."

He thought to himself. First they threatened war on me and now look at them. They lost their great empire and in turn also had Myroria lose their greatest colony. But also, I should be thanking them, because it seems that I have replaced the Myrorian Empire when it comes to colonial rule.

Lady Ria Fong while moving about run's into the Chancellor, Wolfgang Steinbruck. He was standing with his wife talking with one of the members of Christstan Nobility. As she walks by he bows to the man and turns to face her. "My, My, if it isn't the lovely Ria Fong sent by teh Dominion of Chinese Loyalist. It is an honor to meet you, I am Chancellor Wolfgang Steinbruck, and this is my wife Luise." He gave a formal bow to the woman and his wife gave a curtsy.

"I must thank your nation for opening trade, I really marvel at the fine quality of your goods. You also have excellent food."

Canada -

The Emperor nodded and turned to his son a ways over. He tapped him on the shoulder and brought him to a side where they could talk alone. The whispers could not be heard but you could see Frederick nod his head and smile. All was well on Christstan's side. The Emperor walked over to where he had last been standing and waited for the Kaiser to come over.

The Emperor was puzzled at the man, he had said only "Very Well" and it seemed as if the man knew what he was thinking. To go so far as to question Imperialism? The Emperor nodded at the man and smiled "If that is what works for your people then so be it. You need not explain yourselves before me."

Myoria -

She smiled again and was at a loss of words of what to say next. She thought she would just get to know him. "So, your majesty, what are your hobbies and favorite things?"

You appear to be unusually open minded for someone in a position such as yours. I do hope the republic stays friendly with Christstan...in the future it might be imperative that we do." Henry could not help but be distracted by the Canadian glaring at him. He turned and said "Can I help you?" He had yet to understand the Canadians; understood by the Dysanian community as still small fry internationally, opinion was that because of their low population and lack of established rule, they and their 'colonial empire', if such terms existed in the modern age, could be crushed almost easily. He raised his eyebrows in anticipation of an answer, not willing to open his mouth save he cause the Emperor of Christstan any embarrassment or resentment; indeed, Christstan was just the kind of nation the republic wanted to be involved in, as it seemed their form of imperialism was not as deluded as that of the fanatic Canadians.

The Chancellor had been right to send her to this banquet, the showcase of style will have been wasted on her other cousins and sisters.

Music came on, and the pair went out and danced near the musicians. They smiled as they held each other. Paul was glad. No more politics, no more wars, just them on the dance floor together. That was all he wanted. Some other diplomats and monarchs also started to dance when they saw the Canadian monarchs doing it.

"Ruling an empire... That sounds nice I suppose. I will be your empress then, hopefully your teams are as good as the ones in Christstan."

Canada -

The Emperor nodded and said "We shall make this proper then, towards the end he will propose on stage and she will accept and we may get on with it. I must say, I am quite pleased."

Chinese Loyalist -

The Chanecllor was baffeled by her response. She seemed to only be interested in his wife's attire. He gave a bow and left the two to speak. He mad ehis way over to the slippery Barakarin diplomat.

Barakarin -

The Chancellor bowed to the man. "On behalf of the Imperial Parliament I greet you. I am Chancellor Wolfgang Steinbruck. My Emperor has instructed me to draw up a treaty with your nation. He wishes for a Pact of Non-agression and a free trade agreement. The details maybe worked out but those are his main objectives with this."

Paul left to tell the Robert when he wanted to sign the treaty. "We will sign it in Quebec City after this banquet." He then went and talked to the represenatives from the Chinese Loyalist. "How are you doing this day? I hope you are enjoying yourself."
