So I've watched several zombie movies today. Why do they always go to the mall or somewhere public? If Zombies attacked (and they weren't slow and cumbersome) how would you defend yourself?
-
At first, I think I'd loot the next weapon shop in my area (everyone wants to make a zombie taste a shotgun after all, although I doubt that I could handle one ;) ), then I'd try to get aboard some ship (zombies can't swim, and I can't pilot aircrafts or helicopters :P) and leave the area as fast as possible. But going to the mall is really one of the worst things you can do. Lots of meat there, possibly also lots of people (or at least, their smell), so it surely would be a place that naturally attracts the undead.

I like the idea of climbing a water tower with a shitload of MRE's and rifle rounds and a sniper rifle and get a few weeks of target practice before popping myself. Shotguns ain't so hard to handle, only prob is they get to grabbing it and you're f***ed. I don't get why the people in the movies don't wear SWAT riot armor, it's near full body protection, good enough to stop biting. Would be awesome if humanity and zombies were pitted into an eternal war and like civilization broke down into something from thunderdome or something like that

grab an my ak-47 and a katana then head as far from civilization as possible with a few key people.
-
Grab a blade, and set out to sea, to some remote island where there is self-sustaining resources a plently.
I ain't sticking around to get bit by some zambah (http://www.urbandead.com/)!

According to Silent Hill 2, beating zombies down with a wooden plank is crude but effective. If there are too many of them, though, kill them with fire.
-
regardless of noise, I would take a car and drive away, pick up a few key people, snag up a small armed boat with ammo, food, water and fuel and then get out to sea. Islands are no protection unless the depth around it is great enough to crush the zombies through preassure.
-
you still have to worry about floaters but its still a good bet.
-
And floaters can be targeted.

since i live on a island, all i have to do is blow the bridges inbound, then just build some kind of fort.
But, first, i would have to open my dads gun case, and i would be moblie. Mainly, get in a pickup truck, fortfiy the sides of it, and get some of my friends. Sure, its bound to arract zombies, but, 9 kids armed with rifles is sure to thin out the zombies.

I take full credit for our fantastic level of preparedness.

I'd grab a gun and lock myself in an Arby's. Because no one else would go to Arby's. A stock of food all for myself, and nobody around to attract the undead.
-
I would hole up in my fully-stocked bomb shelter far beneath the Earth's crust, complete with moisture-gathering equipment, expansive gardening center with sunlamps, and a flock of sheep to eat. Tasty, tasty sheep; good for decades of nourishment. Oh, and some hand-picked human "breeding males" to keep me, er, occupied. :-P
What, are you trying to tell me you don't have one?

OH NO:

For advice about defense against zombies, watch the new movie,"I Am Legend."
