Apparently I'd had a special entry in the .htaccess which I hadn't backed up, so when I restored the .htaccess file from backup yesterday that special entry was lost. I'll fix it tonight.

Edit: in the mean time, http://irc.taijitu.org/esper.html should work.

I'm surprised you just don't have a client for IRC yet, IS.
