Title: The Taijitu Wiki
Post by: Cartwrightia on February 04, 2007, 11:19:49 PM
Taijituans!

There is a resource out there where you can discover all you could wish to know about this fair region!  At the type of a word or the click of a mouse, every shred of information about Taijitu is there in an easy to read and easy to find format!  It's called the Taijitu Wiki, and is to be found at http://wiki.taijitu.org (http://wiki.taijitu.org)!

Well, ok, that's a bit of an exaggeration.  The wiki software is editable by anyone, which means that if there is a page missing which you think should be on there, or if you think some of the info already there is incorrect, you can create that page or edit that inaccuracy!

Roleplayers, set up your own nation pages to tell the story of your nation in a brilliant format, just as Myroria has done here: http://wiki.taijitu.org/index.php?title=Myroria (http://wiki.taijitu.org/index.php?title=Myroria)

Anyone interested in regional politics?  The roles of all the government officials, as well as the legislature and the judiciary, need to be up there so that the wiki can be a one stop shop for all knowledge on this subject.  But not all those positions have been written about on the wiki yet, so there is plenty of oppurtunity for you to make your mark!

If you are new to wiki editing, fear not!  There is a help section which, while not comprehensive, gives you all the information you need to start editing your first Taijitu Wiki articles.

So come on, give it a shot!  Whether you want to write an encyclopedia article about your own nation or the constitutional role of the Delegate, the space is there for you to do so! http://wiki.taijitu.org (http://wiki.taijitu.org)

If you don't wish to edit it, just don't forget it is there!  Anything you want to know about a single player, law or government position could be in there, so you can see all the information you need without skipping between forums.  Give it a try!

There is an error with the wiki at the moment, which means that you can view the info currently up there but can't edit because of an error which occured during update.  We have the finest minds in Taijitu (ie, Elu :) ) working on the problem.  By all means write your wiki entry in a text editor and save it, then when the wiki is working again you can stick it up there.  Bear with us :)

Feniexia has already a article long before this thread^^
However, it still needs lots of work to be as big or complete as Myrorias.

Oh wiki has its own coding...that sucks, I just wanna copy n paste my information into it.  Not redo my nation's information all over again.

It's not very difficult Bustos.  What do you have?  Headings, subheadings, italics and bolds?  Anything else?

Links, underlines, small/large fonts, colored fonts, centering, and pictures.

If you copy your BBC code into Word, and then replace '[' with '<' and ']' with '>', that should take care of the bold and italics, you'll prolly have to pull out any [size] and [color] codes you have to, but after that it should translate to wiki fairly easily.

I have gotten down all my National Statistics information in my wiki: http://wiki.taijitu.org/index.php?title=Gallipoli-China (http://wiki.taijitu.org/index.php?title=Gallipoli-China).  Finally! Please do not edit it: I'll know if you do.

There is, Bustos.  Go to the home page and click on "Categories" in the top right hand corner.  Once you get to that page, click "Nations", and you will see all the nations which have pages.  Because I am a kind and generous soul, I'll give you the URL:

I have a Wiki page, and I'm in the process of copying my NSWiki articles to here. However, the ability to upload images is not yet functional.

Bah this looks like more trouble than its worth.  I'm sticking with the Nat Stat as my nation's "wiki."

Oh, wiki editing is incredibly easy. If  you type apostrophes and equal signs, and of course words, you can make a wiki. Even things like tables aren't that hard.

I made a couple of templates that didn't work, so could someone delete them because I don't know how :-\

I did make (copy) a working template though! Yay!

Check out my wiki page... I'm proud of it, and working on it.
