Ok, I have noticed there are alot of Canadians here so I was wondering, what is everyone's position on the independence of Quebec. I mean, the Bloc Quebecois wants to hold another referandum, so what is everyone's position?
-
if they want to leave then let them leave. who cares about a few lines on a map anyhow?
-
Quebec-ians apparently.
-
Well, here's the thing I think is retarded. They are the original Canada and yet they want to leave. That's like the Thirteen Colonies deciding to leave the United States. Here's the thing I think is going over the top. Jean Cretian said he won't risk civil war, but he will use it if neccasary. Kinda, strange. Quebec would leave legaly, but then boom, civil war. Even the Prime Minister from Quebec doesn't want Quebec to leave and will do everything in his power to keep them in Canada.
-
So basically, a couple of people want to be separate, and are making a big fuss about it?
-
About half the province wants to leave.
-
spec ops and mercs. use them
-
I will confess to not knowing very much about Canadian politics, but it sounds similar to the UK, if a bit more serious. Here, half the country wants to join the EU, half doesn't. My guess, is it probably won't happen.
-
Why do they even want to leave?
-

There's this crazy thing called "international opinion". Mercenaries have a huge tendency to brutally murder civilians, and that added to the "Canada never hurts anyone, we're always quiet" phrase only reenforces the similarity with how they describe Canada and serial killers.
And Quebec can secede if they want, I don't care. With a separated Quebec, there's at least a small chance that the people will RISE UP AND OVERTHROW THE SHACKLES OF GOVERNMENT STEALING AND TAXES. Sorry about that. I'm becoming a G-C Myroria hybrid.

I wasn't going to comment in this thread, because I don't really care whether or not Quebec gains sovereignty or not, but ^ is just weird.

I wasn't going to, either, but then I saw "I'm becoming a G-C Myroria hybrid." Now I'm having nightmares.

Yes, yes, I'm trying to find them for you, but all the succulent ones seem to have been taken already.

Tzeentch is the chaos god of what agian?
-
The Independence of Quebec will mean the split of the Canada we know. And that is not a good thing my friends!
-
you know what would really suck? If our syrup from Canada, if Quebec became its own nation, would it be gone. THIS IS IMPORTANT! US FATTYS NEED OUR SYRUP WITH WAFFLES!

Since when are children innocent? Children are even more evil than myself, just not in the subtle way (like me), but in the aggressive-idiotic one...

Magic, as far I know.
..., but then I saw "I'm becoming a G-C Myroria hybrid." Now I'm having nightmares.
Same here.
@Topic: Well, as others here, I do not know much about Canadian separatism movements...what are the reasons for them to want to leave Canada and form a own state??
