If you haven't been in IRC or haven't noticed my avatar  or signatures then you would know i love professional wrestling(WWE,WWF). I just wanted to see if others liked it and have a good topic about it.

something about "Professional Wrestling" doesn't seem right, how uncivilized! how can they win their lives in something people do in bars after 3am. Because they have fanatics following them, that's why. They tried to put that in Portugal, they had 2 wrestling competitions in Lisbon, i don't know who was the nut case, only nuts gone there and still watch some in the cable. I guess the reason they haven't came again is they didn't had much popularity.

Sorry dearies, it seems I have a reflex quite out of my control on this subject.  By the by, you may want to change your shoes.

Certainly not!  Down with shoes!

Wait a tic, do wrestlers wear shoes in the ring?  I actually don't know.

I classify that as "could care less, no wait, couldn't"-information.

I like seeing the older matches. They were unpredictable but now a days with never lose the title john cena it has become so predictable. He gets the shit beat out of him for four weeks in a row then at the pay per view he overcomes the odds always.

Kiebler retired and HHH is the king. He is the best and will always be the best. Mainly cause hes married to Vince's daughter.

Hmm I though Booker was king, or am I thinking of something different?

Hmm I though Booker was king, or am I thinking of something different?

He is cause they retired the King of The Ring Tournament with Booker. Its bookers gimmic. Booker is Royalty king. Triple H is called the King of Kings cause he has won the WWE and World Heavyweight 10 times. Making him the King.

No if you watch the shows it would be easier to understand. Its hard to explain unless you watch and yes.

My cousin won the Illinois state wrestling championship in highschool, and would bet that he could've probably beat any "professional wrestlers" in a real match. But, if staged fighting is your thing, I won't knock it other than to say that I would prefer to watch sports in which winners aren't pre-determined.
Title: Re: Professsional Wrestling
Post by: Towlie on September 02, 2007, 05:43:56 AM
hell ya these "wrestlers" have little idea what the real thing is about
Title: Re: Professsional Wrestling

I have only been to professional wrestling once.

My verdict? The wrestlers were hilarious, like slapstick circus clowns.

The little old ladies in the audience were terrifying, like a shoal of piranha.

Not to hurt your feelings on how professional wrestlers dont know what real wrestling is then youd be pretty stupid. Most about 70% were in fact real wrestlers for some time. There are 4-5 that were NCAA champs or were top wrestlers.

on that note when I did watch wrestling my favorites were the Steiner brothers
DFG,Big Poppa Pump...both real wrestlers..although I have not watched for a long time HHH is the best heel there ever was!

Steiners are on TNA and there are about done. The Roids that both of them have taken are crippling them and yes Trips was the best heel. Great in DX.

HBK!!!!!!wow that is old school......and Ric Flair still wrestles????
definitely checking that out I will report back to you on this I haven't watched any wrestling since the NWO.....so it should be a wake up call.....I'm sure it has changed tremendously since then....I'm actually anxious to see that :)

HBK is injured right now along with RVD due to Randy orton. If you watch Monday night raw then be prepared to watch John Cena the worst wrestler ever.

yes and Benfica won the 1st match for the UEFA cup. That's how professional they are.

yes and Benfica won the 1st match for the UEFA cup. That's how professional they are.

Shelton Benjamin was a NCCA Champ along with Charle Hass and Bobby Lashley. Also HHH wrestled a little bit. those are just the ones i can think of the top of my head.

Post by: Delfos on September 03, 2007, 03:46:28 AM
yes Benfica was also a champ quite a few times, has few cups. Probably more cups and victories than HHH.

No im not. Do you catually know anything about wrestling. There are a few that have taken them but how would you know who has taken them if you dont know about the sport.

How foolish towlie. You have opened up the wrath of an ignorant wrestling fan.

well first just look at them they would have to be lifting since they were like 4
next if the high percent of baseball football player sports that require strength not unlike wwe and the like why wouldnt they figuring the testing is minimal if not nonexistent and there in roides that are next to impossible to detect
come on you would have to be one of the most naive people to walk to believe that they are clean
How foolish towlie. You have opened up the wrath of an ignorant wrestling fan.
come on give me a chance to finish my post
Title: Re: Professsional Wrestling
Post by: Rock Briken on September 05, 2007, 12:39:45 AM
I know there are quite a few that have used them i can name at least 10 but to think that you know about something that you have no clue about makes you ignorant.
Title: Re: Professsional Wrestling
Post by: Delfos on September 05, 2007, 01:34:00 AM
I'm afraid of hurting an artist feelings when i compare American professional wrestling to theater, i guess it's another way of entertainment. You cannot ever compare it to a considered Olympic sport, and there's a reason why i think baseball is boring :p although, a sport it is. Any other kind of 'wrestling' i know are Olympic sports...
Title: Re: Professsional Wrestling
Post by: Towlie on September 05, 2007, 01:56:50 AM
that is the best comparison because there is no sport to it it could be compared to like a demo of some sort but in no way a sport
and your being dumb by not just accept that it is an roid infested organization just because they say they are clean doesnt mean shit
Title: Re: Professsional Wrestling
Post by: Rock Briken on September 05, 2007, 02:05:15 AM
Yet again you guys fail to grasp that i am not saying that WWE is a sport all ive been saying is that i watch it for entertainment and that although there are quite a few who has used Roids not all have used them. If you would listen to me instead of just troll then you would have noticed that.
Title: Re: Professsional Wrestling
Post by: Towlie on September 05, 2007, 02:16:13 AM
i never said that ether you said very few do and i said that most do and we never purposely compared it to a sport in fact i was just agreeing to what he said

Now lets actually be on topic with out these stupid arguments. And dont you guys go off saying i started theme i made this to just talk about it not have dumb fights with ignorant people who thing they know a lot about something they dont even watch
Title: Re: Professsional Wrestling

lol, you even use "Watch", anyway i did watch few times, even played games about it, viewed movies about it, i saw enough, look at kickboxing or judo and take your conclusions, i think you haven't watch anything else but "American professional wrestling"
