Ethanol is perhaps one of the most foolish alternative fuels, at least so far as I'm concerned.

I concur with Pragmia.

Ethanol takes more fossil fuels to make than it replaces most of the time, but don't say that around Al Gore or in North Dakota; that be heresy.

 ^ :D

The thing with ethanol is, with a country as big as America, you can't possibly make enough ethanol to supply it's entire economy. More efficient to just eat the corn and walk.

Unless you have one of the biggest extensions of agriculture land. I don't like Ethanol, but it seemed pretty important last time Bush was in Brasil.

For once, I think he made a correct desicion, I wouldn't pass a bill with a specific foreign language programme added either. I would have passed a bill that offered more funds to education, public health and social services in general. But not if others had pinned a bunch of waste-of-money bills to it.

you never said a thing about ethanol before that you rambled on about petrol which is just standard gas
next this plant called switchgrass produces 2.5 time as much per acre and 166.5% of sugar cane is showin promise and is extremely low work and will grow nearly anywhere the only reanson i think this is a decent option is it could remove or at lest minumize the need of foreign oil and make us a little more energy independent

Pffft... Nothing is less trustworthy than a set of numbers. They're almost as bad as facts.
