Title: March Madness
Post by: Trey on March 19, 2008, 02:25:01 AM
I know we have an international clientèle here, but for those who pay attention to college basketball...

How's your bracket?

And, I know it's sort of last minute, but would you be interested in joining a Yahoo Tournament Pick 'Em group?

Georgetown's going to go all the way this year, I know it.  If I put money on tournaments ever, I'd put money on them.  They're seeded second in their region, between Kansas and Wisconsin, I think.

OMG Cornell made it in both the Men's and Women's Tourneys! The men lost already though.  :-\

Go Lady Big Red!

Yay Runnin' Rebels!

Kent State was just embarrassing in that game (and, of course, I picked them).

Western Kentucky and Miami just busted my bracket...I had St. Mary's over Texas (which would have allowed Stanford to avoid playing Texas in Houston and to, therefore, reach the Final Four) and Drake in the Final Four.

OUCH.

And, as for the 31 people in Yahoo and ESPN who are perfect as of now...2 (both on ESPN) have Siena, OU, and Oregon.  But those 2 have, respectively, Duke over Butler and Clemson over West Virginia in the final...so those 2 won't beat the 1 to 18,000,000,000,000,000,000 odds to make a perfect bracket.

/me glaze over.

Basketball is a neat sport and I know a decent number of people who really get into it.  Keep me posted on who's kicking butt and who's not; I'm too lazy to watch myself.  ;D

Damn it all.  I don't care anymore.  The Hoyas lost to Davidson.  I'm going to go sulk in the corner about this upset.

I don't give a damn about basketball personally.  My only interest was because my current school managed to make it to round two.

Same.  I only follow my teams, and if they get knocked off early, I just stop watching or caring.

I actually met a grown woman once who used to follow her favorite (folk-music!!!) band around sometimes two times a week.

:-\ howcome? you think I meet only giggly girlies like you irl also? No sir, this was a grown woman in her late 40's, I suppose that's why she was so nuts about that band, who quite frankly, sucked bigtime. What surprised was that the lady owned a small business that allowed her to travel around following her idols, at ease and with no financial worries. I also had a lot of teachers that were grown women. And my land-lady. And a sister at the clinic when they fixed my hand. And a lady taxi driver. And my mom.
