Hello and welcome to the newly founded Avatar Police Station, run by none other than your first-class avatar heckler, me, Algerianbania. I have thus far created a few threads on these forums to discuss the change of different avatars. To save space, I have decided to begin all discussions here. I shall police these forums, searching for all who might have said changes and heckler and yell at them for have "such a stupid picture". It will be very fun.

I shall like to begin with Soly's new avatar (yes he did it again). It has already been known that he is a pillowphile, and some (i.e. myself) have accused him of having other....um interests. Now I find that his new avatar shows his true side, the more...fluffy side. I am afraid my friends that we have another furry on the board. I give you Soly's new avatar.

Okay, okay... I haven't settled on a permanent avatar yet but this one will do for now.  I think it suits me.  A wooden spoon would be better, but this is close enough.   :P

I find that it is the need to discuss such a disturbing avatar. What to you do for a living Khablan? Are you a cook, or a stay at home mom make eggs for her kids? Is it possible that you beat your children with said spatula, while it is scalding hot, and still have small particles of last night's diner? Are your kids therefore teased when they get to school for having bruises on unusual places? Do you cry at night because you thence for think that you are a bad mother for not protect your children from these bullies? Has your husband threatened to call child protective services?

Technically, I write for a living, but I spend a heck of a lot more time in the kitchen than anywhere else.  All those cookies to bake, you know.  Smack my children with a spatula?  It would never reach.  I'd need a broom.  They're all much taller than I am.  And faster, too.  No, I rely on my patented mom glare.  Stops them in their tracks every time, as they whimper, "Not the look, not the look!"

I must admit to having scarred my children for life, though.  When my boys were about ten years old, they came to me asking about the whole "where do babies come from" thing.  I gave them the speech, after which they expressed their confusion over the logistics of such a thing.  So I grabbed a couple of nearby teddy bears  to demonstrate the traditional position.  This was met with cries of "Oooooooh, gross, mom!  Geez, I'll never be able to look at my old teddy bear again!"  Soon after, they removed said teddy bears out of their room and into storage, and they now shudder every time they see one in a store.  I have apparently ruined teddy bears for life.

First of all....nicely handled. Second, you claim that you scare children with perverted teddy bear mimings of sex. The only people who could scare children with such black magic can only be witches. Thus it is official: Khablan is a witch. You are eligible to the full appeal complete with jury (ie me) if you are not satisfied with these findings.

Whaaaaat, me?  Little old me?  Why, I'm only 5' tall, how scary can I be?  Just because I've been known to tree door-to-door salesmen twice my size, and my kids shudder at the sight of teddy bears... that doesn't make me evil, does it?  Okay okay, so my kids' friends have called me evil a time or two when I've used the ultimate weapon - the feared revoking of PS2 privileges...  And those aren't potions I'm brewing, it's just some herbal tea... no eye of newt, and every frog in my yard still has both legs, I swear!  So... well... maybe I am a teeeeensy bit scary...

Is she really in fact not seducing men but women, because she is going through a lesbian-like phase in her life, as proven by her "engagement" with PUR? Does she seduce them with hypnosis or just by her so-called "hawtness"? Does she even have this so-called "hawtness"? What is the deal with her and Soly, the cat? Does have a thing for cats? I mean does she have like a thing, thing?

About my avatar, it's actually a picture nicked from Fallout Tactics, it's part of the helmet, shoulder guards and chest plate of a Power Armour. And the insectoid-look is intentional for psychological effect.

I have myself as my avatar for a much more pathetic reason than self-absorption, actually; it makes me feel as if internet interactions are more "real" and people can get to know me better as a human being if they have a face to associate with my words.  It's not just text and random images floating about in the ether, that way; if people see your face, you seem more "real" to them and I enjoy the thought that I'm truly talking with people.  See?  I told you it was worse.

Moving on. PoD Gunner. This is an odd one. You no doubt have some sort of obsession with Predator, but to what extent does that go? Why is half of the creatures face obscured by the image of a naked albino woman, who is covered in body paint? The paint is clearly in some form of a yin-yang, but what is that strange text running along the body? Is it computer coding or some strange cipher that only PoD knows? Why is this person here? Does the Predator find enjoyment my painting human bodies? Is the entire image merely symbolism?

I must confess you have got me. At first, yes, I have some sort of Predator-obsession. A rather superficial one. But, instead of boring you with words, I shall shock you with an image that reveals the secret plan and symbolic message behind my avatar. Spain is....odd. For instance, I am currently in Barcelona, and while walking through a plaza, I noticed at least 60 punk/goth kids congregated around a tall statue. It was a see of black leather and alternating pink-white-black hair. And supports of the local teams are crazy. While I was in Madrid, the Spanish football finals occurred, and Real Madrid was deemed the victor. The partying was unreal. 4 hours from 11:00 pm - 3:00 am was all about firecrackers, car horns, and yelling yuppies. But then it kinda got outta hand and the cops came. Anyway that's not so weird, being it football, and everyone but the US is crazy about it, these guys are also huge whackos about basketball. I went to a finals game the other day (really cheap tickets) and these guys are just wild. It is so.....odd.

More oddities

1. Condom vending machines in the middle of the street
2. You can buy a beer at McDonalds (A full glass of beer!)
3. One needs to go to McDonalds to avoid malnutrition, as the traditional Spanish meal consists of either veal, lamb, hake, salmon, codfish, or little samples of a billion different types of ham. After 5 days we were sick of it.
4. Its just.....odd.

But that doesn't mean that its not cool. Spain is sweet. Flamingo dances, bullfights, awesome churches, sports on the TV that you could never see in the states (The Sharks beat the Blues in rugby!!), a completely different language in the west (seriously its like Spanish but full of a bunch of oddly shaped x's). Its pretty sweet.

And Ranholn, since TOPH is probably anime, I don't like it.  ;D

Alas, while this is fun, I will leave for camp on Sunday. Its one of those camps where you live in cabins, no electronics, lots of sports on teams. Its actually fun. Just a heads-up.

To return to business after a short leave! An update: The police will not be pressing charges on PUR for his new avatar, as we could not find any physical evidence against him.
