As a prominent historian once wrote,

It seems to me he's saying Hitler should have destroyed all the Phoenicopterus ruber (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caribbean_Flamingo). I could be wrong.

Clearly a valuable lesson.  Charles XII and Napoleon in the past also havee not went took out there natural matials, which doomed their respective campaigns against Russia.  I can't agree about mussulini, though.
