Title: 500 Internal Error
Post by: Union on November 09, 2007, 08:32:34 AM
What's this about? It's like the forum has to take a long dump every couple of hours during the day and night...

Most servers do backups 1 once a night.  The down time can be anywhere from a couple of minutes to a couple of hours.

It was particularly bad yesterday. Though, I do find that things work after one or two refreshes of the page.

When the forum goes down, I just stare at the error message clicking refresh until it loads again.

I just did something that may make it less finicky. We shall see.

specially you, both last times the forums went down it came this error:

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 1048576) (tried to allocate 77824 bytes) in /home/.nina/eluvatar/forum.taijitu.org/Sources/Subs.php on line 3520

If you don't even know what this is, i suggest deletion.

Just delete random things until the server starts cooperating. You know, like cutting off fingers one by one until they talk.

Its an out of memory error, there is nothing to delete.  It means that the server's allocation of storage for the forums were full.

Quick word of advice, never delete stuff just because you don't know what they mean!!!!

If I can't understand it, it's can't be important.
