Another "w00t" thread as Taijitu gains its 200th nation.
Congratulations to those who have been actively recruiting, and to those who have been generally spreading the word.
-
BAh, I never saw Sovereign Dixie's post in the delegate's area. Remember folks - you heard it there first.
w00t here, w00t there. I do not care so long as you w00t.
-
w00t?
-
Hahaha! Kick ass most righteously!
Doesn't matter where ya here it, or when, as long as ya do! :D
Now, lets see if we can get to 400 in another week!!
-
YaY! I noticed just before I left for work that we were at 199, so we probably hit the big 2-0-0 when I was in my car. :)
-
Whoa - I'm amazed at the hard work of the members of this community. A week ago, we weren't even around...
-
wOOt!
-
yea soon be 300 i think it was 218 when i looked this morning
wOOt
-
just because weve done this doesnt mean we can stop recruiting, we want to live up to the past week dont we? should we make NS history with reaching 1000 in less than 2 months?
-
Yes. Yes we should.
-
hey! I want to spam too! ;D
w00t!
-
OT - Not only do I think that's possible but with this group - I suspect it's very very likely! The most talented recruiters in Nationstates congregate here and with them, we'll get there!
-
W00t! Glory to Taijitu!
-
I'm not really good at recruiting and would like to know what everyone else says when they're recruiting. The only time I have was when I was in a tiny region called Colonial States, being at a resounding 16 in it's glory days.
-
long live Taijitu!! Glory to Taijitu!!! How do you Pronoce Taijitu?
-
I'm not sure if I can 'pronoce' anything.
-
oh be quiet
-
pinyin: Taìjí tú; Wade-Giles: T'ai4 chi2 t'u2
Latin: Tae-ghi,tu
Stupid English way: tahy-jee-too
As represented by words: Tie (like to tie things) G (like saying the letter G) two (the number two
Tie-G-two
Well there's a way that I think it's supposed to be said... Since I've hung around so many Asians... but I showed how to say it like an American.
-
I can't even spell it to be honest, I just type in 'taij' on the world page.
-
lazy mouse... :P
-
youre leaving out the easiest part of it to spell lol the itu
-
Over 250 nations now!
-
Wonderful! Onwards and upwards!
-
Lets strive to reach 1,000 by mid-Feb!
-
So is someone gonna make a new thread for every hundred members that we get?
-
Probably. ;)
-
It's always good to celebrate these things!
-
Sounds good to me.
-
We definately need a huge party when we get to a 1000!
-
I'll bring the keg!
-
I'll just randomly dance around.
-
I thought that Taijitu, being a Japanese/Chinese thing would be pronouced 'Tie - chi -too'.
-
So did I...only I thought there would be more stress on the second syllable...'Tie-GEE-too'.
maybe it's a regional thing; to put so much stress on the second syllable... -shrug-
-
Well, if you really want to pronounce it correctly, listen up...
The vowels are indeed more or less "ie" "ee" "oo". But the consonants?
T: Aspirated Alveolar Plosive; that's just plain old T
J: Alveo-palatal affricate. No true English equivalent, but we can approximate best as English's J
And the second T, same as the first...
And the tonals... those burn my brain too :P
-
Please stop, it hurts. :-\
-
200 nations? How passe!
-
Since everyone was rezzing these old thread thought I'd bring this one back too. :P
