Hi Taijitu!
I just wanted to inform you about a new Political Compass test for NationStates, called "The Gameplay Alignment Test (http://s4.zetaboards.com/UDL/pages/compass_main/)", created by Solm and Unibot.
You can find out more about the Compass and take the test here: http://s4.zetaboards.com/UDL/pages/compass_main/ (no sign-ups required!)
Essentially, the Compass determines where people sit on two axes: (1) military alignment (whether players should invade or defend regions?), (2) political alignment (whether regions should be tight-knit communities or very open communities). To get a good sense of how NationStates stands on the test, I'm trying to encourage everyone to take the test.
Yours,
Unibot.
P.S., if you have any questions or comments about the quiz, feel free to forward them to me via Unibot II (http://www.nationstates.net/nation=unibot_ii).
P.P.S., if there’s a celebrity not on the celebrity compass that you’d like to see, tell me who!
HERE’S HOW NATIONSTATES HAS SCORED:

I think it's fun at least. :P

I must say some issues can have antagonistic results in particular axis.
For instance: Most residents of regions are comfortable with their region being raided, so long as it does not become destructive. = This is a perspective issue, I couldn't care less new people come over and "take over" the region in the aspect of making it more active. Therefore I totally agree with this. This probably affects the "raiderism" axis in a way that most of my other responses go otherwise, since I don't really agree with destructive and authoritarian raids. Also in the "cosmopolitan-regionalist" axis there's different ways the result won't be very defined, I agree with free mobility of nations and cooperation between regions but I defend particular citizenship and perks for citizenship in each region, yet I don't mind people have multi-citizenship.

Anyone else going to retake the test?
-
I think Oz should retake it.
-
I've become more regionalist on this one lately. I also took the other version of it which was created by raider Crushing our Enemies and got the same regionalist result and in the exact same spot only on the raider side of the spectrum. Interesting :P
-
I took it some time ago, I was in the bottom right
-
I got -0.5 / 0.
-
-0.5 / 0 as well...
-
Woot! I am not alone.
-
:) never alone!
-
My result is now very old. At last test, I am -14/5, if I remember correctly.
-
Funny, I'd never heard of this before today, so I figured why the hell not.
The test for some reason insists on calling me Testdummy (maybe it's trying to tell me something)
In any event, I found the results to be kind of funny.
-0.5 / 0
Almost dead center of everything. Kind of accurate really. There is no black or white, only muddled shades of grey.
-
Thats exactly the same as I got. Dead centre. And it called me Test Dummy too.
Either a lot of us have similar opinions, or it doesn't work.
-
Maybe it things we're both dummies lmao
-
Maybe. Or maybe the test is the dummy.
-
It may be broken. I can ask Solm, perhaps.
I was -5/2 when I took it. Such a fenda :P
I'm surprised the test scored me more regionalist than you guys though, however slightly o_0
