The boy followed the creature.  I'll have to get rid of him somehow once we reach the corpse.  If he sees what I do to it, it'll send off all the wrong kinds of alarms in his head.  But the only way I can kill this thing is with the Darkness, and if Ekarde is nearby any usage of Darkness not covered by a Shroud will bring him running.  I'll have to put on some kind of "I just want to be left alone with his body" act.

They'd arrived at the gallows.  A pair of bodies lay in two cheap, pinewood coffins in a wagon, ready to be taken to the graveyard.  I've got to act fast. These two may have been dead for hours.  I've got to get alone with one, or better yet, both of those corpses before the blood becomes stagnant.  The boy came to a halt, standing in front of the corpse which vaguely resembled Ekarde.  He stared at him for some time, trying to figure out exactly how to say what he needed to.  "Can you leave me alone with him for a bit?" he asked the creature who'd led him this far, doing his best to sound sad and devastated and in need of some time to cope with his loss.

(OOC: You're about to find out.)

The boy walked over to the pair of bodies and stared at them greedily, dropping the pretence of sorrow now that the creature had gone.  The boy went to the one on the left, an older man.  He pulled a small knife with an extremely sharp point from his boot and punctured the mans jugular vein.  He had been dead for hours.  The Blood was mostly stagnant.  Nonetheless, the boy cut his wrist open and willed what Blood was still fresh out of the mans veins and into his.  A small trickle came out of the mans neck and flowed into the boys wrist.  It dried up after a few seconds.  The boy repeated the ritual with the younger, blonde haired kid.  His veins contained only a little more Blood.

"Hey!  What're you doing?" someone asked.  Walking down the road opposite the one the boy and the creature had arrived from was a grave-digger and an undertaker.  "Get away from those corpses!"

"I'm sorry," the boy said, stepping towards the two of them, "I found this knife where the younger one was arrested, I thought I should give it to him before he was buried."  The undertaker came forward to examine the knife.  Once he was close enough and before either of them could react, the boy rammed the knife into his throat.  The grave digger opened his mouth to call for help, but the boy threw the knife at him, embedding it in his throat before he could make a sound.  He walked over to the fallen body of the grave digger and removed the knife, then summoned the Blood of the two freshly dead men into his still open veins.  This time it took considerably longer before the ritual was complete, and when it was the two victims were withered, as though they were nothing but skin grafted onto bones.

Soundtrack: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ge6JuP8DSPE&feature=related

(OOC: In case you're wondering, I'm saving the good tracks for more climactic events.)

The boy stepped towards the creature.  He'd lost his only weapon stopping his escape.  Ordinarily, this would've been a tactical fallacy.  But he now had access to his own personal armoury.

A dark mist emanated from the boy as he stepped towards the fallen creature.  The boy raised his hand and the mist shot out tendrils towards the creature, grabbing at his leg and wrapping itself around his throat.  The thing started hacking at them with his axe.  The boy was not concerned.  He turned his attention to a nearby house.  More of the dark mist billowed out of him, reaching down the street, and with this extra mist he summoned up massive tendrils of darkness.  He ripped off the front of the house, exposing the occupants inside, who had received a most rude awakening.  The tendrils pierced their chests, and the boy sucked in their blood to his wrist, while putting his other hand out as if to catch something.

Whatever he had caught, he threw it to the floor and three almost incorporeal beings, approximately the height of children, appeared out of the ground, seemingly made of pure darkness.  Their appearance was almost invisible, as only their heads stuck out of the mist, and they blended in perfectly with the blackness.  After they finished emerging they immediately hunched over, making them completely undetectable.  The boy spoke to them in a foreign language, and they ran off into the night, breaking into homes that were surrounded by the mist, and killing their occupants.  Then the mist would bring the Blood back to the boy.

The darkness swirled around the boy, lifting him up ten, twenty feet into the air.  From his living tower of mist, he watched and directed the massacre, leading masses of the strange black "children" to deal with the rallying militia, slaughtering them before they could gather and insuring that they did not become a threat.  Whenever one of the militiamen hacked away a piece of one of the demons, it would dissolve back into darkness, go through the mist back to the boy, and be reborn by the boys magic.  And with every kill he gained more.

But as the boy looked around, he noticed something...the creature, wounded leg and all, had fended off not only the mist, but also several waves of his minions.  He gathered together two dozen of his minions around the creature, and as one the monsters attacked.

They leaped towards the fallen monster, eager to be the first to draw his blood, when suddenly they all dissolved.  They did not go back into the mist, to be recreated by the boy, the monster who had started all of this.  They simply dissipated into nothing.

And then a voice entered his head, like thoughts he might think, except he did not think them.  Can you see them, Claxtio?  Can you see the remnant souls?

Kayo stood out the window looking to the Village of Extraho with his piercing Amethyst eyes to see what was going on.

"ANIMADVERTO ULTRA QUIS EGO CAN ANIMADVERTO!" His eyes went through buildings till he found a weird sight;
a scaly man and a little boy in a black robe. He chanted the spell to get back to normal.

"Weird..I must check this out."

"Transport ut urbs of Extraho!"

Calxtio arms began to get weaker, as he finished hacking away at the minions that the boy had made.

Note to self, don't trust a kid with black robes

He tried crawling away, maybe get a weapon from the dead militia men. A Bow would be nice. Stick a arrow right in the kids neck, stop this madness. He began to move, but he was too weak from it. Using most of his strength, He heaved himself to a tree, and used it to stand himself up, and began to walk towards the boy, his axe ready.

"You know, i have seen some we rid stuff in my life, but still kid, why try to kill me. All i got for blood is Yellow Blood. Yeah, i know, its supposed to be the mark of some the will lead some peolpe agisnt some castle. But still. Why my blood. Why? Why do you kill some many peolpe?"

While he was saying this, a thought entered his head. He saw the militia men. He saw that they didnt see what he saw. He shouted towards them about the monsters coming at them, and they said they idnt see a thing. Maybe he saw what the kid saw.

The voice spoke into Claxtio's head again.

Open your eyes.  As the voice spoke, Claxtio's eyes dilated, literally opening themselves up until his pupils, surrounded by a tiny, almost invisible band of white, took up his entire eye.  And he could see them.

Tiny balls of light, giving off trails of white mist lay scattered through out the ruined village.  Dark conduits of blackness, emptiness, connected to the boy, through which he controlled the mist.  Within the boy, somehow visible though he remained opaque, was a tiny ball of darkness, the exact opposite of the balls of light which lay scattered about the village.  And the militiamen were filled with both the darkness and light, albeit usually more darkness.  When one of them died, the darkness and light together left their bodies.  And the dark energy took the darkness, tore it from the light, and left what little light survived the attack in the ruins of the village.

A blinding light consumed Claxtio's vision, pure white, then pure black...

Unconciousness.

(OOC: Darius, Kayo won't be able to teleport inside the Shroud unless the person running it lets him.  The demon running this thing won't let him in, because the last thing he needs is a magi in the midst of his fledgling empire.  What happens when the spell fails is yours to decide.)

Cakxtio layed, there sprawled out. His arms went numb. His legs went numb. He couldnt feel his hands. Yet, his brain still worked. Something must have happend, becasue of one thing he remberd. The one memory that he didn't know about. He saw the scenes played out in his mind. The Man they called Kayo, telling his men to assault the walls. In his mind, se saw peolpe that looked like him, trying to stem them back. 3 times, it worked, until, they just asstault them with everything they had. Everything. They were almost all killed, the surviors dragged bakc to slavery. Calxtio was dragged away in chains, until he broke away. He became a Dog of War, looking for a fight, and always looking for loot. Then, Calxtio woke up. The Boy was nearby, starting at his body, and how he couldnt get the blood out.

"Good luck kid, that blood isnt coming out."

Calxtion rose up, and stragerd about a littile.

"I'll make a deal with you. If you help me kill somebody that did something to me, ill join you, and your crazy blood stuff".
