Title: Freak Show

He had his backpack with a few extra sets of clothing, his writing book; which he used for writing short storied or as a journal, and his wallet which contained a few hundred dollars; he had withdrew all his money from his savings and debit account. If he used it after running away the credit card company could track him. He had seen enough Law & Order episodes to know that. He was running away from home; his parents finding out about his ‘ability’ was the last straw. He had gotten to the bus depot and he sat down; waiting for the next bus. He sighed to himself and stared at the ground and saw a flyer that said ‘FREAK SHOW IN TOWN! THIS WEEKEND ONLY! $10 PER PERSON! COME SEE THE…’ the rest of the flyer was torn, but the address was at the top. He caught the next bus heading in that direction. After a half hour ride he stepped off the bus in front of a large abandon church. “This must be it.” Reed said to himself, and started toward the church door.

Plot: 1) A young teen named Reed discovers he has a strange ability and runs away from home when his parents found out. He finds a flyer advertising a freak show and decides he should see if he can join them, it would be better then on his own. The leader of the freak show lets him join and everything is fine for a while, but then the freak show is attacked by people in black who want to experiment on them. So they are captured and taken to a lab where they must now escape.

Name: Reed Rushman (me; Harley)
Age: 17
Ability/Power: Bones grow out of her skin, providing her knives and clubs as well as body armor, can retreat without leaving any scars.

Personality: Really nice guy, but is withdrawn around new faces, but eventually warms up to them, if they're nice. He can get agressive when he needs to be or when someone is being really agrivating, he is also a little stubern(SP).
Other: He is just discovering his powers, he ran away from home after his parents found out.

Name: Mr. Martin Caves (also me; Harley)
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Ability/Power:Telekinesis

Personality: He's keeps to himself a lot, but he can be very nice or very scary. Some, if not all, the cast members see him as a father figure because they are either homeless or ran away. He's tries to be slightly kind to everyone.
Other: When his partents discovered he had powers at five they sold him to a 'real' freak show where he was kept in a cage, once he figured out how to control his powers he escaped and lived alone for a while. Then he met a man named Sir Larence Krunch who had a 'Freak Show' that let the members preform instead of shown off. He became very good friends with Larence, along with all the other people that were in the show.
Cast members would leave after a while, it was mostly teenagers who had no where to go; and they left once they turned eighteen, but Martin never left. Soon he was one of the longest members there. When Larence died, several years later, (he was old to begin with, so he wasn't killed or anything) Martin took control of the show (he was 22 at this point). So that is why Martin takes care of freaks that don't have anywhere to go.

Name: Brian Lipton (Barakarin)
Age: 13
Gender: Male
Ability/Power: Can walk through most solid objects including people. He can not however walk through anything electrical.

Personaly: A nice person, but thats only if you go past his Quiet, rough outside. He tusrts only thoses that has helped those, and those who do, he puts his life to them, often times harming hismself so that they will be ok. When he is with his friends, he is a cheerful person.
Bio: Born and Rasied in a small town until he was 9, then his parents where killed in a car accident. He was sent to Sveg, and that's when he discorved his powers while he was reading a book. He mistaken summoned a hydra, and he sent in out, but the police came, and they took him in for questioning. He went berserk, killing the cops, and runnig out into the night, He lived where every he could until he was 13, then he decied to get on a train and head to where ever life took him. He still went on random killing sprees, only to satisfy the inner demons inside of him. He then got his record clen when he hacked into the government computers and then, clean of all charges, he decied to head back to . However, the cops there saw him groing horns out if his arms and they hauled him off to jail. Remembering the torture of what happened last time, he summoned a hydra and killed the cops, taking there guns. He now lives where ever he can in Sveg, trying to figure out why he has these powers, looking for other freaks like him

Name: Endymion "Chance" Eveing (Soly)
Age: 16
Ability/Power: Body is composed of non-toxic mercury, which she can reshape or solidify at will and cling to solid surfaces.

Personality: Okay, imagine that you've spent your whole life watching movies, reading comic books and playing videogames and suddenly one morning waking up to notice you're just like T-1000? Maybe your reaction would be similar to Chance's, who got rid of his teenage angst once and for all and started having fun with his powers. For the first three minutes until he realised that there's a little thing called the Government. So, now he keeps his powers well undercover, using them only when he needs to and is not prone to be noticed doing so.Generally an okay guy who manages to keep his feet on the ground most of the time. Devout Catholic.
Other: Merely visiting the "Freak Show."

Name: Amanda Balic (Chinese Loyalist)
Age: 17
Ability/Power: She can convert static electricity into energy blasts, speed, or into a negative charge to attract other electrical charges.

Personality: Anxious, Jumpy, Depressed
Other: A high school drop out and a runaway, Amanda has been having a tough time with her life. Leaving home at 17 after failing high school, she's been living a miserable life on the street. Either it was being chase by stray dogs or trying to find a meal in a smelly dumpster, everyday of his life was painful and terrible. She has given up on building a new life, and is completely convince that she had hit rock bottom, reluctant to get a job or find a new home.
There was also the case with her allergy to metal...ever since birth she has been wretched with hives and burning sores every time she comes in contact with metal. Her father was always working and her mom an alcoholic, so there was no chance of checking the condition with a doctor. She was plaque by bad health and a weak immune system as well, a further point of his misery. Sickness combine with strange and constant exhaustion destroy her social life and school studies. All she could do most days was lock herself in her room sick in bed and read books while her mother rages with drunkenness outside.
She discovered her abilities during the deepest point of depression of her life... Tired of living, she attempted to end her life by electrocution. Ripping apart an electric cable that was walled to an abandon apartment, she grabbed the two wires of the live 18 gauge cable in each hand. But rather than feel the intense pain of AC electricity coursing through her body, she felt incredibly energize by the surge of electrons as is rush into her hands. Her symptoms of exhaustion completely disappear and in addition, blue sparks were flying out from beneath her skin. It was not long before she discovered the true nature of his ability...

Name: Shelly Davidson (Allama)
Age: 17
Ability/Power: Shelly has an innate power to convert sound into light, causing her body to glow. In addition, she can produce replicas of herself over which she maintains mental control.

Personality: Shelly is reserved and quiet around strangers, but quickly becomes animated and fun-loving in a comfortable atmosphere. Humor, songs, and dancing are her favorite past-times. Thoughtful and kind, she is quick to heal the hurts of others even to her own detriment.
Her dynamic personality is often expressed through her clothing. Having picked up a flair for the bold and dramatic (clothing-wise, at least) from the ones who raised her, she tends to switch styles from day to day.
Other: Other: Born as Pilar Zapatero in Benalmádena Pueblo, Spain on July 23, 1990. Shunned by her strangely old-fashioned and superstitious family upon the discovery of her powers at age 9, Pilar was forced into hiding and wandered southern Spain alone for several months. A band of traveling performers found her half-starved, scrounging for food behind a roadside inn next to the field in which they had set up camp. She spent several weeks with them; terrified they would find out about her powers and send her away as her parents had. One night, however, her dreams were so frightening she cried out in her sleep and glowed like a beacon. Her hosts, rather than being frightened, saw in her the potential for an incredible act. For seven years Pilar lived with, trained under, and was raised by the few life-long devotees of a tiny, gypsy-run circus.
One day, a group calling themselves the Brigada de la Pureza Cultural (or "Cultural Purity Brigade") began to harass the gypsies, calling them filthy names and throwing rotten fruit during their performances. This escalated slowly, until the day a small boy was beaten half to death by the BPC for crossing their path on the street. A fight was brewing, and it would be bloody. And soon, Pilar's adoptive family gave her a false passport under the name "Shelly Davidson" that they had created for just this sort of situation, a bag in which to store her few sets of clothing and personal items, and as much money as they had to buy a plane ticket to the United States. They sent her off as quickly as they could, so she would not have to be a part of the violence their heritage had brought to their door.
Now going by "Shelly", she successfully re-located and sought a new home as much like the one she had found in Spain as she could. Weeks of searching led her to a "Freak Show" in which she now performs, using her abilities to create multi-colored, pulsating light patterns. Her replicating powers, however, have yet been kept secret from her employers.

Name: Eve McCill (PUR)
Age: 14
Ability/Power: Ability to bring her pictures to three dimensional life for a short time.

Personality/Other: Personality: A relatively shy girl, eve discovered her powers at a young enough age to give life to her imaginary friends without thinking it strange. her main imaginary friend is named Iz, he is a resourceful and outgoing young man with keen skills with a rapier, stressful situations she summons Iz to help her. She doesn’t often talk to people instead using her friends to talk for her. She had fallen in with a bad crowd at school who used her powers to fuel their crimes; they got her into various things such as smoking and drinking, not to mention giving her criminal mind. She quite enjoys being in places of natural and structural beauty. She has no parents to speak of as her mother who was her only guardian mysteriously disappeared four years ago. Being a resourceful young girl she made her own way in life.

Name: Luke Menzel (St Oz)
Age: 15
Ability/Power: Ability to accelerate the growth of and control plant life.

Personality: A real druggie and womanizer, he has used his powers to conjure up Marijuana, Cocaine, and Tobacco so he can use for his personal affects and so he can sell it. He is not the sanest person anyone can ever know but he sometimes has his Emotional Moments with few he trusts. He's very outgoing character and expressive character.
Other: Luke was adopted by his Foster parents when he was 3 and his true parents have never been found. He was often insulted for his Green hair as a child growing up in his town. His Foster parents moved when he was 9 because of what happened with his powers, when getting picked on by the neighborhood kids in the forest he conjured up trees that smashed the kids and killed them. Such an event was questionable to the police but brushed off as kids being maniacs. His foster family wondered what was wrong and he told them about what happened and showed his own powers by bring to life an orange tree from the ground in his backyard. The parents were worried and moved to the city where he lives is now. He started his Drug Business when he was 14 by first selling it to kids he knew. He was caught recently dealing and was chased down by the cops. He used his powers to escape just like he did on the kids when he was 9. Thus cops getting mysteriously killed. He took some of the things the Police had, including their gun.

Age: 16
Ability: Can change her appearance at will, even different species, but it's limited to species that she has come in contact with

And to you CL I don't need a minion, because the bad guys aren't going to play a big part in this RP, they will just show up now and then. She has fairly good control over it. She does preform with it in a show. And she can only make herself glow, but she can light up a good sized room. She can not control it to the degree that it is in shapes, though you could make her develop that later if you want. and no she can't do heat. OK? LOL I've never known someone to dig so much into a character. LOL Usually they grab it and run. ^_^

They are phisical copies and she controls them, but they do have free will, like if they're in a fight, Shelly doesn't have to tell them what to do, she can just will them to fight.

OK, phew...anymore questions? LOL

Sorry, I'm so off topic! Um... I'm looking forward to this! It seems like a fun diversion from all the nation-state RPing (though I love it).

To Allama: Well thank you. I'm use to RPs like this. I'm a member of two other RP boards and these are the RPs I'm in all the time. I'll post another later on, sorta like this if you guys REALLY like this kind. ^_^

He then got his record clen when he hacked into the government computers and then, clean of all charges, he decied to head back to . However, the cops there saw him groing horns out if his arms and they hauled him off to jail. Remembering the torture of what happened last time, he summoned a hydra and killed the cops, taking there guns. He now lives where ever he can in Sveg, trying to figure out why he has these powers, looking for other freaks like him

Personality: Okay, imagine that you've spent your whole life watching movies, reading comic books and playing videogames and suddenly one morning waking up to notice you're just like T-1000? Maybe your reaction would be similar to Chance's, who got rid of his teenage angst once and for all and started having fun with his powers. For the first three minutes until he realised that there's a little thing called the Government. So, now he keeps his powers well undercover, using them only when he needs to and is not prone to be noticed doing so.

Generally an okay guy who manages to keep his feet on the ground most of the time. Devout Catholic.

After a half hour ride Reed stepped off the bus in front of a large abandon church. “This must be it.” he said to himself, and started toward the church door. He reached the door, hesitated; as if still deciding and then pushed it open. The door made a loud creak but the place seemed abandon. He walked into the church and looked around for the slightest sign of someone still being here; streaks in the dust on the floor told him someone was still here or he had just missed them. "I hope the didn't leave." Reed said to himself. "Hello?"

She'd run in through the side door the moment she saw the bus slowing to stop in front of the church, curious to find out who could be arriving at this hour. Everyone who should be here already is and the show doesn't start for hours... why would someone be coming here now? she wondered.

Her latent worry subsided when the young man walked in and told Brian he wanted to join the Freak Show. Martin's calm demeanor helped assuage her fears; he didn't look suspicious, so there was no reason to fret. Shelly would trust him with her life, after all he'd done for her.

Now she was back to being curious, and continued to listen with bated breath, lest she betray her presence to the others. Given the ostentatious nature of her powers (and her sense of "fashion"), most people didn't expect her to snoop about unobtrusively. All the better for me! she thought, taking distinct pleasure in keeping hidden away while no one knew she was there. Martin probably knows I'm here, though... he knows all of us so well it would surprise me if he didn't at least suspect I was around.

"So am I in? If we need stage names, I already have one...it's Marrow." he grinned slightly.

As she walked, she turned for a moment to smile and address the young man standing by the door.

"The show starts in a couple hours; you've plenty of time before we start."

He was holding two red roses and also seemed to have a metal box of some kind. Luke walked towards Eve and Shelly. He handed the metal box with a rose on top to Eve. He winked to her and said, "Got your stuff."

Pulling out a cigarette from his shirt pocket he put his hand around Shelly's shoulder and smirked, "Want one Shelly?"

Shelly laughed and smacked his hand away from her face. "You dork, get that away from me." she said, smiling.

Luke smiled back and said, "My apologies, I meant to hand you this." He handed the beautiful red rose to her as she accepted it and smiled at him.

He grinned at Shelly's remark and zipped his mouth playfully as he watched intently.

It was girl...her hands buried in church's fuse box, blue sparks skipping off her whole body.

"Oh my god! She's being electrocuted! Someone help her!"
"Shit! How? We'll get shock if we touch her!"
"Someone get a 2 x 4! Wait, here's one!

Brian took the wooden plank and ran towards the girl...she saw him and immediately turn around. She took her hands out of the fuse box, and jabbed her right hand into Brian's stomach as he met her.

"AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!"
"Brian!!!"
Electric current seem to course from the girl's hand into Brians body. The girl's eyes appear dead, glaring at Brian's face.

Post by: St Oz on July 06, 2007, 02:37:40 PM: Luke suddenly came back from the window. He was holding a basket of apples that he was going to give to everyone before the show and he noticed what had happened. He dropped the basket and ran towards the group around the annoying kid.

He lightly joked as he crouched by Eve and Shelly, "What did he do this time?"

He put his hand the ground and then his pupils lifted up and it seemed as he had to pupils. His eyelids were shaking and it seemed as if the white in his eyes were turning green. He then blinked and shifted his head to the ground where Valerian Herb was growing. He took his pocket knife, cut it from its root and started to cut portions into Brian's mouth. He then started to think of what to do next as he sedated him for the time being, they would have to clean the wound.

The skin was bloody and slightly charred from the force of the electricity that had flowed into him through the girl's hand, much like a burn wound. Thank God he's sedated now... the pain must be awful.

The "doctor" began to treat Brian's injuries with skill and care, rudimentary though it may have been. They had next to no equipment, aside from what Eve knew enough about to create with any kind of precision.

God, I hope this didn't do any brain damage. He seems okay, apart from the shock, but that kind of jolt could really have caused some serious problems... I'll just keep him talking so he doesn't have the chance to freak out too badly.

"here take some of these, you'll still feel the pain but you'll care alot less about it and may experience a feeling of euphoria."

Luke sighed and teased, "Ok, Mr. Sweetie, I'm going to give you more of the Valerian Herb to sedate you and I'm going to give you a bunch of it. That way you won't feel any pain that we might cause. I'm also going to see if I can conjure up some sort of Anti-Biotic to clean up that wound of yours."

He started to stuff the plant in his mouth, "I know it must taste like shit but ... Well, take it anyway." He then again stuffed more of the Herb into his face and let him chew it down.

Luke then lightly patted his face and said, "You'll be fine though... doesn't ... look that bad. I have a feeling you won't be in the show though."

He smiled to Eve, "Can you draw up some Anti-Biotic? Well... not sure if that Sedative will be powerful enough, might have to grow some Opium or get you to draw up some form of Anesthesia, like Propofol."
