(What the hell, I'll start now. If anyone wants to play Kai they need to jump in soon or I'll just take her out. OK...and AWAY we go!))

(This is a continuation of the first post I made, so ifg you haven't read it, READ IT! ^_^)

After a half hour ride Reed stepped off the bus in front of a large abandon church. “This must be it.” he said to himself, and started toward the church door. He reached the door, hesitated; as if still deciding and then pushed it open. The door made a loud creak but the place seemed abandon. He walked into the church and looked around for the slightest sign of someone still being here; streaks in the dust on the floor told him someone was still here or he had just missed them. "I hope the didn't leave." Reed said to himself. "Hello?"

"Well isn't there a show going on here?" Reed asked the boy. "A Freak Show. I found this poster and I wanted to join." he said.

Shelly stood behind one of the columns near the back of the church, listening intently.  She'd run in through the side door the moment she saw the bus slowing to stop in front of the church, curious to find out who could be arriving at this hour.  Everyone who should be here already is and the show doesn't start for hours... why would someone be coming here now? she wondered.

Her latent worry subsided when the young man walked in and told Brian he wanted to join the Freak Show.  Martin's calm demeanor helped assuage her fears; he didn't look suspicious, so there was no reason to fret.  Shelly would trust him with her life, after all he'd done for her.

Now she was back to being curious, and continued to listen with bated breath, lest she betray her presence to the others.  Given the ostentatious nature of her powers (and her sense of "fashion"), most people didn't expect her to snoop about unobtrusively.  All the better for me! she thought, taking distinct pleasure in keeping hidden away while no one knew she was there.  Martin probably knows I'm here, though... he knows all of us so well it would surprise me if he didn't at least suspect I was around.

"Um...hi, I'm Reed, and I want to join the show. I ran away from home cuz' my parents know what I can do now."

"And what can you do?" Martin asked.

Reed stood in the same spot and concentrated. All of a sudden bone pushed through his skin forming spikes out of his back. He winced but got over it. Then the bone seemed to melt and changed shape to formed a brest plate over his chest, then he let it back in his body and looked at the others. "That's what I can do." he stated the obvious. "So am I in? If we need stage names, I already have one...it's Marrow." he grinned slightly.

A gentle knock on the door alerted those present of the young manling standing inside. He had dark hair to his chin and was wearing a clean red and black outfit consisting of sneakers, jeans, a t-shirt and a collar shirt. He was also sporting a thick neckband with a large white cross on it.

"Um," he started. "Am I too late, is the show already over?"

Eve walked up next to shelly staring past everyone. she lit up a lucky strike and leaned closer to Shelly asking, "Hey shelly, who the hell is this kid? Iz dousn't like him. anyhow i wanted to know if you wanted to come listen to music with me and Iz? if you don't thats fine but i just thought we could spend some time together...." she trailed off mumbling. her cheeks went slightly red and her gaze dropped to the floor. slowly she sat on the floor cradling her knees in such a way as to not expose up her skirt.

"Hey Eve.  The guy over there said his name is Reed and he wants to join the show, and that one just walked in and asked if he missed the show," she whispered, gesturing with a vague nod in the general direction of each in turn. "I don't know if the second one has a gift, but it sounds like Reed just demonstrated something to Martin.  I wish we could watch... let's get a little closer."

No longer content to listen without seeing anything, Shelly stepped out from behind the column.  Emboldened by the presence of her friend and Martin's proximity to one of the strangers, she wandered slowly down the aisle and to sit down on one of the old pews.  As she walked, she turned for a moment to smile and address the young man standing by the door.

"The show starts in a couple hours; you've plenty of time before we start."

OOC: Shelly is wearing a dress that looks a bit like this.

Luke walked inside the window of the church, shaking his head and waving his green hair to get all the dust and leaves out of the hair. He was holding two red roses and also seemed to have a metal box of some kind. Luke walked towards Eve and Shelly. He handed the metal box with a rose on top to Eve. He winked to her and said, "Got your stuff."

Pulling out a cigarette from his shirt pocket he put his hand around Shelly's shoulder and smirked, "Want one Shelly?"

Shelly laughed and smacked his hand away from her face.  "You dork, get that away from me." she said, smiling.

Luke smiled back and said, "My apologies, I meant to hand you this." He handed the beautiful red rose to her as she accepted it and smiled at him.

Shelly could feel her cheeks turning lightly pink and hoped the somewhat dim atmosphere would hide it.  I swear, Luke knew how to make me blush the day after we met.  I've never seen a guy act like this around women, though I suppose I don't actually mind too much...  I wonder if his lips would taste like smoke?  No, stop it!  Bad Shelly!

"Thanks for the rose; it's lovely... I think I'll put it in my hair."  She threaded the stem behind her ear and wrapped a stray lock of blue-black hair around the hip to keep it from falling out.  "This should brighten up my performance, shouldn't it?"

He couldn't help but smile back at the blushing girl, "Of course!"

He then paused and said, "I wonder what I'll do this time, last time when I gave flowers to all the women in the Audience their boyfriends and husbands and fathers weren't so happy about that... Hah, I'll just do the same thing! Or perhaps I should give everyone apples..."

He then stopped and smirked to shelly, "Flowers are good." Grabbing the cigarette that he taunted Shelly with he lit it up with his lighter and smoked it in, "ah..."
