News Coverage - An opportunity to voice your opinions and ideas now!

Alright, people, we'd like your input!  Currently, the region is suffering from a dreadful case of news-neglect.  A few months ago, there was an attempt made to resurrect the defunct regional newspaper, but it fizzled back into obscurity.

And so, the CO has decided that it's high time to rectify that situation!

I don't see a formal newspaper as having a high chance of success here, nor is it really needed, considering there are certainly other ways of going about it.

So here is everyone's chance to voice any thoughts, ideas, and opinions!

What sort of news would you like to see here? 

Serious interviews on weighty matters? 
Silly interviews for entertainment value only? 
Regional coverage?
Inter-regional coverage?
RP news, such as new ones in the making?
On the spot news flashes as new items come in, or a summary at the end of the month?
Other tidbits that didn't come to mind as I wrote this?

All of that, especially inter-regional coverage.  NS diplomacy has always intrigued me.

Who would be reporting for this?

While I have some ideas in mind on that, the "who" is on the back burner for the moment.  I'm just concentrating on getting the "what" down pat first.

All of it. It doesn't need to be a real newspaper. It can merely be something where you write an article if you want, and in your spare time. Is that how you see it Khab.

That's one possibility.  But this is all theory for now.  I'm certainly not set on any one way of going about it.

Seconded!  Khab already knows I'm in favor of this, but I wanted to say so publicly.

That's what I'm leaning towards, personally.  I like the idea of encouraging everyone to post news items if they feel the desire to do so.

So here's how it stacks up...

The News Flash thread is for short bits on events as they happen - anyone can post tidbits that are of interest to our nations, whether it's something that happened here or elsewhere.  If there's something special going on in RP, such as announcements of new RPs opening up, that's welcome too.  Just keep it short, timely, and on subjects of interest to the general public.

Longer articles - Interested in writing some?  Great!  Just post them here in the Community Office.  Try to make your subject clear from the start, particularly mentioning what region it's happening in if it isn't Taijitu.  Serious, humorous, news from inside and outside the region, it's all good!  No RP news articles here, please - there's already a board in the RP section for that.
