St Oz won 6:1, I'll count the Senate results soon.

Funkadelia and Letonna have definitely been elected, I'll figure out who got the third seat later today, after I've slept :P

The senate votes are counted (http://goo.gl/rm65H) and it is clear that Cozulul wins the aforementioned third seat.

Are these the latest votes?

Assuming these are the latest votes, the Senate consists of Funkadelia, Letonna and Cozuzul.

These are the senators are being petitioned to remove the chief justice.

If one of them is no longer in office Delfos will replace them as he has the next highest result.

This is very important, please reflect on this and take action.

None of them are in office.

You're lying.  But let's give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are telling the truth.

In that case Delfos replaces all three ex-senators.  Delfos is in office as the Senate.

Things are difficult enough without this negativity... but I guess opposition can be helpful, if you want to make it hard, so be it.

As you have admin power, please mask Delfos as Senate.

Thanks.

I can't replace 3 senators, the senate needs a majority of 2 to decide things and should be an elected group of 3 minimum under the law. If the law is changed we can change things, otherwise might as well change the whole law. Since we are indeed in process of changing the senate thingy, then let it go so people can participate after the law is changed.

You would only need to be all 3 senators for a short time until the chief justice is replaced and new senate elections held.

Also, once the referendum is passed, the senate will be open to volunteers without another election.

I'm really getting sick of your attitude. I am telling you the truth and none of them are in office. I am trying to fix this region too, damnit, but this is not the way to do it. Do you really think anyone gives a rat's ass about Taijitu or if they follow their constitution or not? No. They don't. Nobody cares about Taijitu at all. In fact, Milograd, Feux, and Karpathos all expressed appreciation of my intentions to throw away the laws wholesale and get new ones. Don't give me this bullshit that I am being negative. If we are going to follow the rules, then we will follow the rules. This is what you want, and we will do it the way you want. You can experience the frustration I experienced as Delegate if you like. This is why I want to throw away the laws because it is practically impossible to rebuild. I am not being negative, I am informing you of what the laws require. I didn't notice that Delfos was even in the running that time, and fine I will mask him, but the quorum is 2/3 and there is only 1/3, as the Senate is legally dictated to be 3 members minimum and quorum is a majority of the senate. If you want to follow the laws, this is what you have to deal with.

Thank you.

This is just part of the game, I still think you're good and am glad you are trying.  We have disagreements, opposition.

Because we happen to see things differently.  Taijis see things differently too and we must incorporate them as much as we can do, because we are still a democracy.

As I said before, the laws could be changed legally, or via popular will, or by force. Legally is actually the easiest way.  But, if you can get the populace to embrace your new law proposals then you can still go ahead with that, whilst assisting the legal changes that we have started in the meantime.

If your preferred method was to declare a new law without legal process, without popular will, and without force, then I can't see how it was going to succeed.  Prove me wrong.

http://forum.taijitu.org/legislative-branch/funkadelia's-resignation/

That is when I was gone from the Senate.

Cozulul's nation doesn't exist anymore.

Letonna's nation CTE'd more than once, and he can attest to that.

I'm lying? No. I'm not. Now we have one Senator. Congratulations. The referendum was invalid according to the Elections and Referdendums act. This is what the laws give us, it is not my defeatist attitude. The laws themselves are insanely limiting. This is something forum regulars knew all the way back to August of last year during my delegacy where I tried to change everything to the way you are currently. This is the same response I got. And since you insist on following the laws as they are, then I suggest you follow them. But since we have no Court, we could do whatever the hell we want really without fear of prosecution.

I don't see anything in the law that prevents you from renouncing your resignation and returning to the Senate.  Same for Letonna.

Also there seems to be a fallacy in saying that Delfos is just one out of three, a minority, when at the same time you are denying that there are three senators.

If there is one senator then Delfos is the majority, one out of one.  If there are three, then we just need the other senators to co-operate.

Hey dudes, calm down. We're all rowing to the same direction. There's problems with interpretation of the law and there's no reason to interpret taijitu law to be logical, because it isn't. Also Funky, counting with opinions of people that haven't participated in Taijitu isn't very constructive.

 8) keep it cool, we'll all win if we do things right, lets construct Taijitu once more, with democracy if we may, thank you.
