Title: Discussion: Elections
Post by: Eluvatar on June 21, 2011, 08:30:04 PM
The Chief Justice asserts that he will, for lack of a law, run elections under procedures he has drafted.

These procedures include a nearly secret ballot.

Is a secret ballot a good idea? I think it's a great idea. I also think we should seek to further improve its secrecy.

Secret Ballots allow for a public to have more confidence in their own true preferences vs. the overwhelming mass of supposed majority. down with the mob mentality!

I have no issue with secret ballots. To be honest, I really don't have any strong feelings on the subject one way or the other.
