Robert Jordan's famously acclaimed Wheel of Time series ground to a halt after his death last fall, with all but the final book released. Now, however, Jordan's fans have a new reason for hope as a successor has been chosen to complete the 12th novel based on the completed portions, extensive notes, and copious audio recordings left behind by Jordan and working closely with his widow, editor, and publisher:
Tor announces that the final novel in bestselling Robert Jordan's legendary Wheel of TimeĀ® fantasy series will be completed by author Brandon Sanderson (http://www.tor-forge.com/NewsArticle.aspx?articleId=647)
What do the Jordan fans out there think of this? Have any of you read Sanderson, and do you think he's the best choice for the job? If he's not, who else would be better?
I'm terribly curious to hear what's going on "on the ground" on this one.

I'm glad the fans may finally have a conclusion to their journey. But, I stopped reading somewhere around book 4 when there was no end in sight. I have no motivation to pick up that series again.
