Quantum of Solace

OK...there is no question that this is the worst James Bond title ever...but can you think of a worse title, period?  I mean, WOW.  And think of the poor sap who has to write the theme song.
"I believe every single person is extraordinary. The tragedy is that we
have a society where too many people never get to fulfill that
extraordinary potential. My view – the liberal view – is that
government’s job is to help them to do it. Not to tell people how to
live their lives. But to make their choices possible, to release their
potential, no matter who they are. The way to do that is to take power away from those who hoard it. To challenge vested interests. To break down privilege. To clear out the bottlenecks in our society that block opportunity and block progress. And so give everyone a chance to live the life they want." - Nick Clegg, Leader of the Liberal Democrats and Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

I understand all of the words in the title, but I don't think I've connected with what they mean together...  You're right, that title is utterly horrendous.

They aren't particularly hot and Craig has his head up his own ass.  That being said, he's a good Bond.

Quantum of Solace was the title of an Ian Fleming short story btw.

the bond girls from Casino Royale weren't that hot either. One of them was pretty...good for magazine cover... maybe they gave up the hotties. I can't remember enough bond girls to make a quick judgment, still Golden Eye is my fav bond movie.

I always thought Bond films were supposed to be family friendly silly 60s adventures, until I saw what they did to his nether regions in Casino Royale.

Eva Green had her moments.  Advisedly, there were some shots of her that looked a bit plain, but there were others that made me glad I've got through that early stage of puberty where you can't control anything.

Quantum of Solace was the title of an Ian Fleming short story btw.

I know...but if they are going to keep using Fleming titles, they're going to run out of options.  The only ones left are Risico (this one's okay...it's mysterious), The Hildebrand Rarity ( ??? ), and The Property of a Lady (which could work for James Bond... :P).

And Eva Green is absolutely stunning.

I think - aside from Casino Royale - I've only seen her in Kingdom of Heaven...in which she was most splendid! More so than in that Bond film, anyway.

Now, I know I'm not supposed to know about this, but...check her out in The Dreamers...as her director in that film, Bernando Bertolucci, said about her in an interview shortly after the film's release, she's "So beautiful it's indecent".
