Title: Heroes
Post by: Allama on September 26, 2007, 11:38:12 AM
This topic is, obviously, for discussion of one of the only decent dramas on American television today and the only show that I follow, period: Heroes.

A group of friends and I watch this wonderful spectacle every Tuesday night after our weekly D&D session, as one of us records it on his DVR.  Season 2 started up on Monday evening, as you probably know, and I had the happy opportunity to view the episode last night.  This season looks like it's starting out well, to me anyway, and I simply cannot wait to see what happens.

P.S. "Waffles, yahoo!"

I also thought it started out well. I hope it can keep up with last season. I am also looking forward to the spin-off. I think it will start in January.

Do you know anything about the supposed plot to the spin-off?

All I have heard is that they are going to introduce two or three new powered hero's and then let people vote on which one they like best and the one that wins will then make it to the main show. At least that was the pretense when they were first talking about it. Hope that is still what they have in mind because it sounds like it could be fun.

It is also supposed to cover the hiatius so people so you don't forget about the show and stop watching, like what happend to "Lost".

Saw the Genesis and few parts of other episodes...didn't thrilled me. Some humans have super-powers? rather read comic books for that.

Yep, I love that part where he gets stranded in the desert after he and Ando get caught cheating the high roller and he meets Nathan (Flying man!) for the first time:

Can I get ride-o?
Pardon?
You know, ride-o boop boop

The motion he made as though hitting the horn on a steering wheel... so cute!  "Boop boop!"

/me Hiro.

I am so glad you guys love him as much as I do.  The waffles line from that very same episode is quoted regularly at my D&D meetings.  ^_^

I love that show!  I missed Season 1, but recorded a Marathon just before the season finale, and watched it during the summer.  So far, Season 2 looks good.

Heroes is, currently the (IMO) second best show on television, and I watch it almost religiously.  Now, I know many people have lost patience with Lost (the best), but, the last half of the last season was the best television of the year.

I'm waiting for Kristen Bell.

This week's episode was excellent.  Spoilers ahoy:

(click to show/hide)

For the record, Peter Petrelli shirtless for an entire episode = priceless... almost as good-looking as Mohinder.  Speaking of, it's my humble opinion that Sendhil Ramamurthy should be on every television show on the air, just so everyone has the pleasure of constantly looking at him.

Well, Heroes is the nice show with both good looking male and female characters.  I read this in an issue of Sci-Fi Magazine a while back...Tim Kring was being interviewed, and this is how it ended.

Sci-Fi: We have noticed that your two lead female characters in Heroes are a cheerleader and a stripper.  We don't have a question, we just wanted to say "Thank You" on behalf of every male that watches this show.

Tim Kring:  Well, we all hope that you view our females as strong leads, and that you don't just value them for their physical attributes...and you're welcome.

Mmmmhmm.  A gracious man, Tim Kring is.  As much as I never thought I'd say this about a man, Peter actually looks sexier in this season now that his hair is so short.  O_o
