Post by: The Master on June 30, 2007, 02:57:14 PM
The Master is in search of disciples to guide on the Way of Illuminating Fire. Those who seek to embrace emptiness may apply here for membership. All are welcome, and none will be accepted.

I seek enlightenment trough emptiness.

As it happens, I find Gryphonnic ways to be uplifting -- owing to the eagle's wings. I find something in everything -- owing to the Gryphon's nest. Away from home, I seek something to sink my lion-like talons and bird-of-prey-like beak into -- rending it utterly and savoring it thoroughly. Thus, while I respect the Way of Emptiness, I must confess myself puzzled by it. I could not wholehearted embrace emptiness, though welcomed to do so. And I hope that "none will be accepted" will also apply to me.

Pupil Nathaniel, the Master is pleased you have come to embrace emptiness.

Pupil Thyatira, puzzlement is the beginning of the Way. Through thorough savoring, one may indeed come closer to the secrets of the Way. If one is confused, one may ask questions. One must only expect no answer.

Disciple Oz, you have found much in seeking nothing.

Having read this over (and over), I must confess myself to still be confused. Is there a handbook of Emptiness -- or is it a book with all blank pages?

There is much to be read of emptiness. Seek the Zhao Ching on the Taijitu Wiki.

More is not always better? The Master believes this to be only denial of largeness.

Sensei, sometimes you do things that make me feel like I'm stupid for asking questions.

But we're friends, right?

This is silly! It's not you that I dislike in particular, it is all of humanity.

To see one must set aside knowing.
To know one must set aside seeing.

That is quite hostile for a "master" who is supposedly One with the Way. :(
